Hi, just looked at your video and I found it a good introduction. Is there the facility in Xero to have a Hierarchy of accounts ? For example an account called Bread which is a summary of the accounts and underneath it - which are accounts that are all the different types of bread being sold?

We have 2 organizations in Xero. we uploaded beginning balances on 1 org and now we are preparing to upload for 2nd organization. I just want to double check if the chart of accounts are linked between 2 organizations? So if I import accounts on 2nd organization, will that affect the other organization's account?

LOCKED ACCOUNTS auto create by Xero e.g AR n AP- pad lock. Can edit but cannot delete
SETTINGS/General Settings/COA
SYSTEM ACCOUNTS is sub-set of locked accounts e.g unrealised fx accts

Can we make Chart of Accounts from Excel?

Hi! You must save first the Excel file as a CSV file and then you can import the Chart of Accounts following these instructions from Xero Central: central.xero.com/s/article/Import-a-chart-of-accounts-US
