Don't be too hard on yourself Wave, as a former multi instrumentalist myself I can find something new in Band Maid song every time I listen to them, I've said it before that Band Maid has revolutionized music once again, much like the Beatles and Led Zeppelin did 50 or so years ago and the music they created is still relevant today, I'm confident that Band Maid will be the same in 50 year's, Band Maid has No rival's!
That was 2016 and they were that good. That lead bass in their four first own songs (Alone, YOLO, Matchless Gump and Unfair Game) It was quite a statement of intent.
This song is so awesomely constructed, to the point of "how could somebody even think of doing that!?" - so many crazy things going on at once, and so many change-ups. (Which we all know are more effective when you have a good fastball!)
Never noticed begore how the MV starts in monochrome and then starts to add colour little by little - just a quich flash of red drum kit or green guitar - then brings in more and more until eventually it's all in colour. Pretty subtle and cool.
I agree with that 💯%. It may be that PRS has the higher quality guitars overall (I don't know about that), but sometimes I think the tone of their Addictone would still fit very well today, sometimes maybe even better. As I said, I'm not a musician, nor am I familiar with the details. But I have always liked the sound. _____________________ 【 _Our rock never dies ever. Forever!_ 】- from BAND-MAID 'Manners' 🕊️
Amazing how I always end up coming back to Band-Maid every day though I still discover other great bands...not surprising but. Akane's drumming is really something. Technicality is one thing. Actually I think none of these amazing ladies is technically the best, but they all are one of the kind.
Now listen a couple more times to pick up on things you missed the first two. This is my favorite BM song and is overlooked by most people. MISA, Akane, and Kanami do so many things here that they don't NEED to do but add so much.
Every song I re-listen to, I think: "man, I forgot how much I love this one", go on to the next one, and catch myself thinking the exact same thing, in a never ending loop, lol
MISA MISA MISA! nuff said THANK YOU for the re-visit sorry I couldn't make the Premier it was 2am and I have to work all w/end so I needed my beauty sleep (HA HA)
This is the song that got me into Band-Maid in the first place. I listened to it when it appeared as a youtube advert. Most YT adverts are annoying but sometimes they get it right.
“YOLO” is my top 5 BAND-MAID songs and my favorite song from the album “Just Bring It”. Since I’ve heard the acoustic version Ohrenge uploaded on his channel, I love this song even more. The second verse (or should I say, the BAND-MAID signature verse) of the studio version is absolutely amazing! Kanami is playing with her green signature AddicTone Modern Series 2H (“Kanami” is written in the back of the headstock if I remember correctly). I would love to have that guitar…😍
If I had to rate a Band-Maid song -- which is pretty much impossible just like it is to rate the Maids -- I'd put YOLO in the top ten of 118 songs. Thx, Wave!
I have been making this comparison for several months. Their group dynamics. The personalities. The chemistry. The song writing. And the dedication to the music. Yes sir, the analogy stands and is worth repeating often.

To me, Yolo is all about Saiki and Misa’s vocals. They are elevated by the band, but they fill a totally different space in the melodic and rhythmic mix. The Yolo EP contains an instrumental version and it sounds like a different song. It’s a composition on par with Onset and Without Holding Back.
Wave are you getting pumped for the acoustic Christmas concert? do you think you are gonna live stream after? if not its understandable its going to be playing at 9 pm EST Christmas eve.
こんにちわ。hello. Can you react to DEATHNYANN - illumina (Official Music Video)? I found this Japanese newcomer band. This is dope. it came out recently so no one hasn't reacted it yet.

Dave-san cherish his bias MISA 😉 Stan talent stan BAND-MAID 🤘
Man, Kanami is a song writing genius, pumping out hit after hit in such a short period.
This is my favorite song from Band-Maid

Yolo was the fourth or fifth Band-Maid songs I heard and I remember thinking "wait ... are ALL of their songs that good???"
YOLO, the last of the Addictone era for Kanami. No one ever gives her Addictone guitars a proper appreciation. She did BEAUTIFUL things with them!💪🏻🤘🏻

Ditto but I have a #Bias can you guess who ????
You Only Live Once but you revisit many times: instrumental version; acoustic version; live version; Maiko version, etc. Go LOCO with YOLO
MISA MISA MISA definitely their most versatile song (as well as one of their best)
This beautiful amazing band are the modern Beatles. No other band has amazed me like Band Maid

Yes, I love the instrumental...always listen to it before the full version. Great EP 👍
5:30 You said it brother. They make the world a better place. 😀
The live version from Studio Coast concert is waaaay better than the MV
Will you also react the the YOLO instrumental track? I have never heard anyone speak of the instrumental. Not sure why. It’s a great instrumental.
Was that you who said Ryan Mear reacted to it? But yes! I will try to get to that soon!
I second this! 🖤 The instrumental must be heard a well, Po! 😎🕊️🖤

Great reaction as always. The live is better, and our friend Ohrenje posted an acoustic as well which is also amazing.
