This is the Most Amazing H.S. Band I have ever seen! I have watched them for years. Their Sound is AWESOME! I LOVE this band.... and my kids don't even go to this school. When they come to our H. S., I make sure that I am there....even if it is just to see this Fantastic band! Thank you Allen H. S. Marching Band!!
That's what me and my friends talk about. Being huge is a fun title but we would like it the band is cut from 670 or so musicians to 200-300. If you took all of the good marchers out of our band and made a band with those, we'd easily be one of the toughest bands to beat
Abstract Gaming -- That's good in theory, but in reality, that would mean way too much work in not enough time for the directors and kids that take it seriously, but aren't the best would be left out and discouraged from band all together. I like the level of inclusion AHS has which is ultimately more important than how many times you make State. Kids want to have fun. They want to play. There are definitely more reasons not to do marching tryouts/separate marching bands than there is to do them... for now. I'm sure they'll eventually have to do something since the size will continue to grow each year. They'll outgrow the field and stands if they don't. Rotate kids out A week/B week marchers type of thing or something.
Trampin Texan I'm aware we can't just go from big to small like that but there are kids in band that don't care. Like they don't even want to do good or make finals. The point of the band being this big used to be to include everyone and have fun, but now its becoming to have fun but try to be competitive. Which is coming along nicely. Its a theory to make it smaller and just take all the good marchers but it won't happen at all
nathan snyder that's one thing Wylie's band has. Everyone is dedicated beyond belief they're out in the parking lot practicing at 5:30 everyday even weekends I love my people in That Wylie Band! AHMO
Trampin Texan Nothing is all of a sudden; they worked on it throughout the week like any other band. His was not a good run for us at all, considering we didn't even make finals. We had another competition today which we performed much better on, advancing us go area.
Darth Rice right? there was this one band that we compete against every year and they're really big but they don't use that to they're advantage sound wise like drum and bugle corps way smaller than these guys are producing a louder/ better sound but eh whatever
They aren't bad though. They placed 8th in their Area finals - Area C, the toughest one in texas. It has bands like Marcus, Hebron and Flowermound - the ones that are literally top 5 state every year. For a band this size Allen does a good job.. Obviously can be better but steadily has been improving over the years.

DeLane Davidson they're definitely pretty good but they're are better bands
DeLane Davidson watch the video of the Vandegrift H.S. Marching band in 2013,it will top Allen by a long shot
if they had a varsity ensemble of only 240 marchers they'd be amazing

nathan snyder that's one thing Wylie's band has. Everyone is dedicated beyond belief they're out in the parking lot practicing at 5:30 everyday even weekends I love my people in That Wylie Band! AHMO
i really love this show! im from lake ridge and i just wish i could watch it in person
Anuj Soni Your show this year was amazing to see at Wylie. You guys deserved 1st.
I was there Denison tx touch of gold
watching this live was crazy
I just can't with this Color Guard.
is that a good thing or a bad thing
Hahaha! Not good.
Trampin Texan not surprised considering we didn't make finals with this performance, it got better throughout the following week tho
They "all of a sudden" started twirling together? Interesting.

South Lake has a dab in their's.
Some serious buses to haul these kids to a show :-)
I thought the band I was in "Leander" was big😂😂🙈🙈
BoneBrosParkour AND FreeFlowDanceCrew ur show is pretty lit this year. IMO you should've gotten first at boa austin
BoneBrosParkour AND FreeFlowDanceCrew Leander's a constant finalist in State though. Don't worry about the size of the band, it's the rankings.
What is that 600 people?
Brad Pilcher 800...😁
tbh that was kind boring to watch. I liked their show "Rings" from a few years back.
They're the largest band but not even that good...color guard isn't together
Eh. All they have is size.

Darth Rice Wylie High maybe?
TheAtomicGamer cool, I don't make RUclips videos 💀💀 And it's an opinion, so I mean
Yeah, last year's show was kind of a disaster for us.
