Aldi is my go-to grocery store. It's like getting what you think should be warehouse prices, but in a more manageable quantity. We love the Euro-chocolates, berries, half and half, the great cheese selection, Christmas cookies and the occasional surprise items. I shopped Aldi in 1990 in Vienna Austria and it was the same super-fast checkout!
I am the biggest Aldi fan and customer for over fifty years, as a child in Germany and 37 in the US. When Aldi opened in US I was soooo happy, they carry German foods and German seasonal foods at affordable prices. Most importantly their products are affordable and of great quality. My grandkids were introduced to chocolate Advent calendars and Spekulatius cookies by way of Aldi. A part of German Christmas traditions they would not experience otherwise.
Aldi, fortunate to have one about a mile away. I think my favorite thing is that the store is small. Honestly, if you have any physical struggles it is soooo much easier to navigate than the larger stores. We have yet to try anything from Aldi that has been bad. I really enjoy their seasonal items, flavored coffees and baked goods, frozen items etc. Great video. Have a great week.
I love Aldi and I have been shopping there for over 10 years! They have certainly grown and gotten better with time. I love buying meats, fresh fruits and vegetables - the prices are incomparable and such great quality.
Love, love, love Aldi. I do a large buy from Aldi about once a month. Come for fill ins throughout the month. Favorites? Everything, especially milk, bread, mayo, fresh fruits and vegs. Can't live without their half and half and coffee. Mother-in-law is a "brand snob." She only wants name brands. However, she loves what I cook, but would probably change her mind if I told her it was Aldi food. Messed up, right? I'd rather save my money for other things.
A great thing about Aldi is the small footprint. I have mobility issues but am able to walk. Those large mega grocery stores make me exhausted and in a large amount of pain. But the Aldi near me is a smaller store and thus much less walking.
Some of these things are so funny to me, because it‘s completely normal here. I‘m from Germany and we have so many discount grocery stores (aldi, lidl and onthers). And a lot of these things apply to your regular grocery store as well. You always have to bring your quarter (or just 1 Euro) and nobody bags anything for you. But aldi staff almost throws your groceries at you during checkout - it can be scary at times 😂
The best thing I have ever bought from Aldi is the garlic vinaigrette salad dressing. I love the unusual food items you don’t find at the ordinary supermarket. About five years ago I purchased two bath mats that have never mildewed and they look as good as new to this day! They were very inexpensive. Love Aldi!
I’ve always shopped at Aldi for their produce and sometimes their meat specials, but with inflation I’ve been price comparing like never before and they really come in as the best deal most of the time did most items.
I love the Crofton brand of ceramic cast iron. I wait until it's on clearance and pick it up. I'm not one who cares in my ceramic cast iron matches,it's the performance I care about & they are fabulous!
I absolutely love their store brand Kalamata olives, although I think they recently changed suppliers because they’re not QUITE as good as they were last year. I usually buy 5 jars or more at a time. I also love the store-brand white bread for 50 cents a loaf. I also love their American Cheese in individually wrapped slices.
I love Aldi! I've been shopping their stores since the 1980s and they never disappoint. In addition to the low prices, I appreciate their double guarantee. I've seldom had anything I needed to return but when I did, there was never any hassle about it. My favorite things to get at Aldi? Everything. But when I first started shopping them, it was canned and dairy items. But today, everything is good quality.
We do all our main grocery shopping at Aldi! We do go to a bigger store about once or twice a month for the things Aldi does not carry. We love their fresh produce (since they are so busy, it is always fresh!) I also enjoy their natural coffee creamer - so much more affordable than Coffee Mate brand! Their Aldi brand of the famous "blue" dish detergent is the real deal and about half the price! So many great deals to be had! And in my experience, the workers are very kind and friendly! Smiles, Abby Smith
I can ride my bike to 2 Aldis. I am a huge fan of their cheeses (basic and specialties). Their block cheeses are often over $1 less than even the store brands. Cha-ching! Ditto their 3 color bell pepper packages - I always save $1 on those. Cabbage and green onions are always lower, as are mangoes and pineapples. My favorite snacks are their organic popcorn and pistachios in the shell. And the chocolate - I love their 5 packs of milk chocolate and the dark chocolate with salt bars. If you haven't tried their brioche products in the baked goods section, I cannot say enough about their sesame seed burger buns. Frozen vegetables are a great deal, too, and you can often find single-source olive oil. And their price for regular iodized salt cannot be beat. Lentils run at least $1 less than other stores. And their wines are really good and the prices are incredible. My mother swears by their hot chocolate pods, which come in both milk and dark chocolate flavors.
The wine at Aldi "Winking owl" is tasty and only $3 per bottle. I like the Shiraz. Also I like their frozen section weekly specials. They are a good size portion for one or two people. Whenever I see a favorite I usually will get several since it might be many weeks until the rotation makes it available again.
Most of Aldi brands are just repackaged name brands. Especially cleaners and medicines, because those are regulated, there are only so many companies that can make them. I work for a name brand vitamin company and we package for Aldi. Also the new Aldi near me has self checkout
I shop almost exclusively at ALDI’s. I was in Germany a month ago and visited one their. I noticed they had a couple of the same brands of wine we like at similar prices. I loved their baked goods aisle and have asked the manager of my store why they don’t have one. She said it was considered but they were concerned about product loss if not purchased daily going stale and being a loss. Makes sense. Also shoppers should not hesitate to ask management or write a comment on their website about getting a product in the store you might shop for regularly and hate to have to shop elsewhere for it. I love the large can of WHOLE jalapeños instead of the sliced one they offer in the pickle aisle. I asked the manager and also requested it on their website and it appeared a month later. Power of the pen! Thanks for your suggestions. I enjoy their chips but was bummed you seem to taste a difference in them now. I like the larger Mexican version but don’t see them anymore. I will ask. I will also ask about the tastes difference with the chips and see what response I get from the store manager. Our store gets visits by the upper managers ver often. So I will ask them when I see them. Another store you should investigate is Lidl’s. It’s ALDIs cousin. They are predominantly on the east coast but have plans to move west. I am a bit surprised you didn’t mention the brothers store that began Aldi and moved to the US to become Trader Joe’s. While it may have more products the format is the same except they bag for you and you don’t need a quarter. Enjoyed your presentation.
We finally have 2 in my local area! I love it. They do have better prices. I love their products. I save a lot there. But inflation has hit them. That said, I still think they give more for your money. Their meat is good. I recently wanted to gift someone in need and gave them a gift card from Aldi because you get more for your dollar. My favorite items are Irish Butter, snacks, Black Forest ham, low sodium brown gravy packets, Idahoan potato packs, rice packets, all my basics.
I love love Aldi. I am so thankful that my mom pushed me to go. We don't shop anywhere else (except maybe Trader Joe's once in awhile) & it's made a HUGE difference in our budget.
I was told by someone who worked at a dairy manufacturer that there was NO difference between a well-known brand of yogurt and the Aldi one! They filled the containers for the premium one and then just switched over the tubs, so EXACTLY the same yogurt but much cheaper at Aldi. BTW, check out their old UK Christmas ads here on YT - they're absolutely delightful!!
@@THEJENNIFERCOOK I was told years ago by an Aldi staff member that if you didn't like one of their products you could return it for a full refund - and 'I didn't like it" was sufficient reason! That was here in Australia and I'm going to double check if it's still the case today but if it is, that makes trying stuff a whole lot more comfortable!! Cheers!
Apparently I missed your live this morning. I love Aldi groceries, and I love the Boulder table napkins. A while back I purchased a set of navy blue bath towels for $17.99. The quality is fantastic and they look good in my bathroom. Love this type of video!
I love Aldi's. I always shop there. I love and only use their Peanunt Butter, tomato paste, bread, latose free mild, cheese. Many other things. Low prices. Thank you for a great video. I live in upstate NY/
I don't have Aldi where I live, but while visiting my daughter in Dallas, I stopped in an Aldi just to check it out. Honestly, I was not impressed but I am willing to give it another shot next time I'm there 🤷♀️
Hi Jennifer I love Aldi bc I can get butter and eggs and milk cheaper. I buy their semi sweet chocolate chips bc they are cheaper . I buy the Raisin Bran Crunchy Granola. I love their Fall food. Apple cider donuts and canned cinnamon fried apples, and apple cider and bags of apples. They usually have some kind of apples on special. I love their chocolate bars and Chocolate Christmas candy. I love the red bag chicken- the Kirkwood breaded chicken breast. They are in a red bag. I got nutmeg from them. Been trying to find ginger The red bag breaded chicken I air fry and put 2 Dill pickles on . Chicken is on brioche bun. Taste like Chik Fil A chicken sandwich. Red bag chicken is in the freezer section where the frozen chicken strips etc are.
Great video! Love Aldi! All of what you mentioned is good! Try their fresh green beans! Love all of their produce, French baguette, cheese, sparkling canned water, canned fire roasted tomatoes, f.f. Half and half, snacks, ground turkey breast, chicken breast organic, pork roast with veggies, coho salmon, etc. and candles!!!
I love aldi, I really love their bagels, I always buy those in bulk and refridgerate them. Sliced Meat can be not bad, and like you always keep grocery bags in the car.
I'm a big fan of Aldi too! I start there when I shop and if I can't find an item there, then I go to Walmart. I just wish I had a Walmart Neighborhood Market closer to me. That's one thing I like about Aldi -- it's small, and I like the Neighborhood Market for that same reason. Even if you have to go the back of either of those stores for something, you're not traveling past ten or more aisle like the huge Walmart. I hate getting milk at a big Walmart if I don't have to. It means hiking to the back wall of the store.
Yes! I always buy my berries and grapes there. SO much cheaper than any other store. Also other typical type breads. They also have great deal on organic grass fed ground beef and organic real meat hotdogs!
Love Aldis, ours is self checkout now but fast! Best thing for me is the fresh corn on the cob! Love all their products. Lots of Keto and great buy on their nuts too.
Great video. I love Aldi for those staple items like the spices and chocolate you mentioned. Also, frozen veggies. One thing I avoid is certain produce like squash or potatoes. You have to buy a whole package of them - you can’t just buy one like in the regular grocery store.
I visited a wonderful Aldi in northern Italy when visiting my daughter there. It had amazing cheeses, other Italian goodies, great skin products and my husband really enjoyed the beer selection.
I grew up going once a quarter or so when we was getting low on can goods and crackers. Then when I moved out on my own I’d shop at Aldi or Walmart. Once I started working at grocery store I started shopping there. Now that prices is getting higher I’ve slowed down my spending at my grocery store because Aldi is cheaper than the store brand. I’ve came across the black bean salad. I love it with crackers/ the flat pretzels chips at lunch time. One thing I miss buying there is can spinach. I was never a fan of the 3 bean salad in the can.
We love Aldi ! Their organic milk is wonderful (tastes so much better than non-organic milk & stays good longer!). We get their chicken & pork schnitzels....quick easy meal. Their sourdough bread is great. Their graham crackers are every bit as good as the big name brand. Their Swiss-Gruyere cheese is fantastic. Their cranberry chicken salad is delicious! The breadsticks are good. They have some meals that we love....broccoli-cheese stuffed chicken is one....barbequed pork is another. Their canned whipped cream is so good. Their "fritos" are much cheaper than Fritos & a lot less salty which we prefer !! (so...win, win there) . I've tried their little jars of face creams & they are so nice ! We prefer Daisy sour cream because of its taste & it doesn't have any extra ingredients....just 2, I believe. Aldi doesn't carry it, unfortunately. That's just a few things we get there. They have so much good stuff ! I actually prefer to bag my own groceries. I get very frustrated w/baggers who put glass next to glass in the bag!! I grew up in my dad's grocery store. I've done everything there is to do when it comes to work in a grocery store. My dad taught me how to properly bag groceries. We have a whole bunch of canvas bags & some nylon bags....we grab a few when we head out the door no matter what store we're going to shop in.
@@THEJENNIFERCOOK WEllll, I managed to hurt a rib last week....that kind of injury takes ages to heal ! Ron's left hand still isn't back to normal but he does therapy .....it's just going to take awhile. 🙋♀
Love Aldi for many things: butter cookies, seasonings, baking chocolate, to name a few but unfortunately every time I’ve bought the produce, it is molded within a day or two. Great video!
The stickers, by the dollar, for reduced items. From pizza to meats!! I love everything about Aldi, especially the house wine 🍷, super good and cheap!!
We use Aldi all the time. They save us so much money. Canned goods, dairy products, produce, and crackers to name a few items are cheaper there. So thankful to have one close by.
I buy 90% of my groceries from Aldi. One of my tips is to put empty laundry baskets in the back of your SUV. Once you're done purchasing your items, cart it out, fill the baskets, then return the cart, and you don't even have to find an empty box or purchase a bag for your items! I've been doing this for years and it's a great way to carry a lot inside in 2 trips.
Im in my late 20's and I can remember going to Aldi as a kid and my brother and I always loved it as kids, the store itself was fun for us 🤣 now as a momma my kiddo loves going to Aldi with us! Can't lie, that AOS gets me more than I'd like to admit hahaha.
Jennifer, I Love your Aldi video. The best things I love are the Dairy products. They only charge $2.69 for a quart of Half & Half. It used to be cheaper, but since Covid & Inflation prices, it's gone up, their Milk & Butter prices are good too. But, it's more reasonably priced than other stores. I also buy their Slabs of Salmon & cut up in separate slices, which becomes more cost efficient. I love their product line "Specialty Select", which I will get their Sour Dough Bread, their Maple Syrup, also their Chocolate Truffles. I just recently bought a new Specialty Select item called "Apple or Mix berry Blossom". It's like eating apple pie. It's so good. I do buy other items, but these are my main staples.
I love Aldi it’s my number 1 grocery store I get everything from there ,I don’t go anywhere else and my piggy bank it’s looking very happy 😃 from all the cuts I’m been doing in my life style
I watched your video simply because I wanted to learn more about ALDIs. I have only shopped at ALDIs once and the thing that I found that I love is their cream style corn. It is the best that I have ever eaten. Now I want to go back just for that. I am going to watch the videos on ALDIs just so I can make a grocery list. Thank you for sharing.
The tortialla chips (simply nature) added canola oil to their product and that might be the difference. My sister is allergic, so we pay attention to where they use canola oil and it's so many products!
I get some of my spices at the Dollar Tree for $1.25. Agree though, Aldi is my favorite grocery store. Thank for sharing these tips, very helpful for those Aldi beginners 😊
Hey Jennifer, hope you're having a good week so far 😊 I love Aldi, I notice when watching videos that American Aldis have a lot more choice than than the UK ones, but they're still great and much cheaper to shop at than the regular supermarkets as long as you avoid the aisles of shame in the middle 😉
you can get a cart coin you can put on your key chain if you ask. They also have foldable boxes (plastic) that make it easier to speed pack your groceries.
I love Aldi. I have the apps for all local grocery stores and look on Wednesday to plan my shopping. Like you, I keep my quarter and bags in my car. One tip: big mesh bags (like beach bags) are 2/$10 online at Walmart. I have a lot of these in my car as well as cooler bags from Aldi. I buy bottled water, butter, sour cream, half and half, spices, oil, cooking spray, broth, can veggies, frozen cauliflower rice, cheese, pizza, condiments, Clancy snacks, m&m cookies, low carb tortillas, 45 calorie bread, produce, and the delicious salt and pepper cashews, peanuts, and mixed nuts. I bought a Squismallow as a gift for less than $10. If you see a specialty item, get it because it probably won't be there if you decide to wait and come back.
Late to see this channel. But try Aldi red cabbage and apples in a jar. Love it with their chicken or chops. Today I had a grilled chicken sandwich with the cabbage apple on top…so good
I have been shopping at Aldi about as long as you have and although they still have some great deals I feel that is my area their prices have risen so much lately they are do longer that much cheaper than other stores. For example pizza dough was 95c three weeks ago, now 1.80 - almost double. Don’t get me wrong I will still shop there but I will compare prices more. For example I can definitely buy beans cheaper at Walmart.
Very helpful video for anyone on the fence about trying Aldi - thanks
Aldi is my go-to grocery store. It's like getting what you think should be warehouse prices, but in a more manageable quantity. We love the Euro-chocolates, berries, half and half, the great cheese selection, Christmas cookies and the occasional surprise items. Yes the chocolates!

I go to Aldis mostly for canned corn, green beans, carrots, salmon, pizza, crackers, nuts, and bagels.
I have that exact same shirt! Lol love it too❤
I love it!
Yes we love Aldi
I love Aldi salsa.I shopped there yesterday.
🤗
Great video. I love Aldi for those staple items like the spices and chocolate you mentioned. Also, frozen veggies. One thing I avoid is certain produce like squash or potatoes. You have to buy a whole package of them - you can’t just buy one like in the regular grocery store.
Anna, your right about that with things like bell peppers, onions, potatoes. So if you don't need that many those items might not be worth it.
I love Aldi! They have a lot of keto and low carb options for an amazing price!
I visited a wonderful Aldi in northern Italy when visiting my daughter there. It had amazing cheeses, other Italian goodies, great skin products and my husband really enjoyed the beer selection.
❤️
Pat, I hope you are well!
@@THEJENNIFERCOOK WEllll, I managed to hurt a rib last week....that kind of injury takes ages to heal ! Ron's left hand still isn't back to normal but he does therapy .....it's just going to take awhile. 🙋♀
I grew up in Germany and we always shopped at Aldis as kids…I was super excited when it came to my state in the US :)
I live in west Texas and no Aldi but anytime you and another channel I follow ( cooking) mention it , it sounds great! Have a great week Jennifer 🙂
Hi Sarahi, maybe they will come to Texas soon! I hope you have a wonderful week as well 💗
Love Aldi for many things: butter cookies, seasonings, baking chocolate, to name a few but unfortunately every time I’ve bought the produce, it is molded within a day or two. Great video!
I cook mild salsa, black beans and frozen spinach. Nice with rice. Inexpensive
LOVE ALDI !!! Good Foods and very reasonable prices !!!
I love Aldi.I like their protein bars.
Karen I'll have to try them! 🤗
They vary in brand but much cheaper than other places.
I had protein drinks but stopped when I saw how much sugar in them
The stickers, by the dollar, for reduced items. From pizza to meats!! I love everything about Aldi, especially the house wine 🍷, super good and cheap!!
I love ALDI. Good price! Love their cheeses. Veggies
You can get boxes too.
I love the meatballs, cheese ravioli, pizzas, chocolate etc 😊
Love me some Aldi! Produce, chips, canned foods, dairy... love them all. I stay away from the home goods aisles.
They have the best and the cheapest ciabatta loaf and rolls.
Good idea!
@ramonsmediablog - Aldi also has the laundry baskets 😅
Love Aldi. We call them trolleys in Australia 🇦🇺
Coffee creamer is an excellent deal at Aldi.
I love ❤ Aldi. Tinned salmon and rolled oats . Blessings from Adelaide Australia 🇦🇺 🙏
Hi in Australia! 🤗
I shop at Aldi's I buy the produce and I buy my milk over there and frozen vegetables
Aldi do the best chocolate - and so much of it 😊🎉
Thanks for your great content! I especially love buying their organic produce, fresh and frozen...definitely cheaper than most other grocery stores.
Love Aldi's! I go there 1st & then to WalMart.
Thanks a million!!
Thanks for sharing!!
Bex I hope you are well too! Is it getting fairly cold near you yet? ❤️
@@THEJENNIFERCOOK It certainly is, I'm just outside of London and the temperature has plummeted in the last few days 🥶🤗
I haven't shopped at Aldi before. I will try it now. Great video. Thank you
Kimberly, I hope you enjoy it and save a ton of money 🤗
you can get a cart coin you can put on your key chain if you ask. They also have foldable boxes (plastic) that make it easier to speed pack your groceries.
I love Aldi! So many great deals and good quality food!
Today I had a grilled chicken sandwich with the cabbage apple on top…so good
I love Aldi. Talk about their meat selection
Oh, the Clancy's corn chips are a good substitute for Fritos!
Carol, thank you for the recommendation! I will have to try them.
I wish we had Aldi here in Ontario.
Definitely an Aldi fan 😊
We love Aldis. We have been shopping them since the 1980's. Our kids always preferred the Aldi snack chips over the name brand.
