Always nice to see open source hardware (it's definitely a great way to learn). Enjoyed the review :)

thanks for not using the lena image in the thumbnail
I know it was porbably one of a dozen title/thumbnail tweaks to boost click-through,
but it's also more respectful to the model who expressed distress at being used without her permission in tons of academic publications and research

I completely missed the controversy around it all until someone pointed it out. Hopefully not too many saw the first thumbnail.

Nice! So the open source 6" display is listed for $224,98 on Soldered's site, but that's Croatian currency which works out to a reasonable $32.40 USD? If so, that's neat.

Price is way way way too high.

All that stuff is man. Especially some of the cool stuff on tindie. I hate being called a maker when I'm a musician/engineer who builds shit in his spare time.
Then you have clowns like that cleon unexpected maker guy who charges a paycheck for a module that does something stupid. I'm not throwing shade on him but it's like being a hipster.

I find a lot of news now is just designed to get you riled up about something. My stress levels have decreased dramatically since I took a step back. I still read tech news, but take a much more leisurely approach to mainstream news. I've got a few podcasts that keep me filled in on the important stuff.

@@atomic14 I get filled in on the important stuff from my wife. Otherwise, most of my media communications is from youtube makers.

Every dang time I watch a video where you do a Mailbag or open mail up, it reminds me that there are things I could order... Rest in Piece: My Pay check.
Cheers, Thanks for the Great Video as always, even though it was short.

I think some sort of smart picture frame will be cool.
For example showing today's memories from Google photos or just letting you share photos from your phone to the frame from anywhere in the world.

That's a great idea! Though most of my photos seem to be of PCBs... :)
