- The is my DIY version of a Beam Compass. Made from scrap hardwood and 8mm stainless steel rod. Easy to may and look ace too.

Bart Kerswell Thanks Bart! Quick question... do you mind if I ask what kind of camera you use for your videos? I'm looking to upgrade.
@@dkbuilds yep I use a Nikon D7000 with the standard kit lens. Its old but dose the job. Probably should upgrade it at some point too but DLSR's are not cheap. Hope that helps.

Could also use a ruler,elastic bands, a pen and a sharp pencil

need to purchase expensive tools to make beam compass. not user friendly video. show your talent using manual inexpensive tools to make beam compass, that is real carpentry knowledge.
Or perhaps, someone else can do that and he can do his fantastic version for those who are wanting something of this standard
