I appreciate getting hip to new music. Thank you.
Love your content - especially the record reviews and rants!
I wanted to mention that I was able to track down a copy of this album from RoughTrade records in NYC via Discogs. Brand new, sealed copy for $5.00. On the band website; it mentioned that there are only like 207 copies pressed on vinyl. Anyway, the track that you played was hypnotic and I can’t wait to receive my copy!
Thanks so much for sharing this album with us. I just streamed it and now today's mission will be to track down the record. It's really beautiful
Found a sealed copy on Discogs.
Loving to see the Gibbon X's displayed in several beautiful spaces! This might be the year for me!
Happy new year. Feliz año nuevo a todos. Salud y felicidad, desde A Coruña, Galicia, España.
Love this Album.
Didn't even get through the second track before I hopped over to Bandcamp to order that LP. It is so far up my alley it's got a permanent dumpster and a well-worn spot where all its employees take smoke breaks. Rad stuff!!
OH MY GOD! Their rendition of Bill Evans' 'Peace Piece' is otherworldly. Worth the price of admission all on its own. Thanks for this album showcase, John. 🤘🏻
@@sixergixer yes--that is an amazing version!
aAppy new year and good o see you back.
I live in rural Queensland and the chances of ever encountering your speakers is pretty much zero, but I really enjoy the channel.
Today I heard N2P, went to bandcamp and downloaded that albut.
Played it this afternoon and was totally overwhelmed by it.Thanks, John and have a great year.
Happy New Year🎉🎉
Fun video John! Happy new year much love to all.
Happy New Year John! Such a wonderful heart warming video.
That record sounds really interesting! Just ordered a copy on the Bandcamp link. Thanks!
Love the music i will have to look up GP
Happy 2024, John!🎉
John, isn’t it about time to get a walk around in your listening reference room?
What step-ups/RIAA you use
Time arms
Cartridges
Still on the same amp?
….a fan 😮
Happy New Year, John! 🎉 Thanks for playing that track for us! I became aware of B.L. when he started posting some “live” stuff early in the pandemic. ❤ Wondering, though, about the Komura project, after reading about it, and rewatching your unboxing video of the Komura monoblocks, not that I think I might be in the market for $40K worth of tubes any time soon… 😂 All the best to you and yours! 🎉❤
Happy new year! I been designing speakers and your speakers look very similar. I use MDF and I cover it with solid maple baffle and oak sides adhered to the MDF. . I been really happy building my own speakers. It's awesome that you can do it for a living.
John, have you ever heard John Zorn's "Sortliege" off the album Magick? It's a duet for bass clarinet, and it's wild!
Thanks for the pointer! I’m a lifelong clarinet aficionado, and in love with the bass clarinet, especially, in the last couple of years!
Hi John
Is there a plan for updated 096’s with the updated cast baskets and tweeter?
Yes, we are planning a new model to be above the O/96 in our line-up that will use the cast bronze chassis parts. The standard O/96 will remain as it is.
The long tone arms make the record look tiny in the opening shot.
Happiest Healthiest Wealthiest 2️⃣0️⃣2️⃣4️⃣🫵✨🎄💎♾️🎶🧁🍥🥮🍰 Listen 👂 to John Surman Private City album 💿. There’s bass clarinet playing that sounds magnificent.
15:22 😅😁👍
Mann hört, Lautsprecher mit Metallmembran haben einfach die Nase vorn :-)
I got a hint of hot rats on that record.
