I really like the look of the metal minis. They have some of the old-school style that I so dearly like about the Northstar-Line. Now I sould like to see more monster and villan options from them. Otherweise, they have a lot from Frostgrave, that could be used as well.
I like the goblin figures and they seem a good match for the description in the rule book, while the vampires seem characterful, but in general for the humanoid monsters there are so many plastic Napoleonic & Fantasy multi-part figures around, that they provide plenty of opportunity to kit-bash.
Going to use my Wrath of Kings vampire and werewolf models for this game. Yet these Vampire minis are awesome and I'll have to get them as well. Still on the fence about the other minis. Thanks for the review.
The Goblins are the pick of the bunch for me, closely followed by the Vampires. I got a real gremlin vibe off a couple of those goblins, really quite nice.
Nice minis. Would be up to getting the vampires and hobgoblins as they could be used in different games. Anyone any idea if all these would fit in 2.5mm bases?
Those goblins I don't think have been previewed at all elsewhere, and they are quite handsome looking little nasties. The hobgoblins are indeed catalogue minis.
The 18th century look for monsters works well. I'll deffo be getting some of those on release! Not so sure about the hobgoblins: nice enough for what they are, but the weaponry looks a bit too over-the-top-fantasy-ish for me. Can't think of anything better though for the role, so maybe a weapon swap or two would be in order.
I have to agree the goblins do fit so well in the game. And I do really like vampires Need to keep my eye out when they do come out Thanks just keep up the good work
The vampires are outstanding! I may just get them to paint, regardless of this game. I really appreciate your paint job. Well done! But it definitely helps to appreciate the detail of the figures. I always have a hard time visualizing them when in bare metal or plastic
For me, it's the ones that "fantasy monster you recognise but in period dress". Like, the hobgoblin just kind of look like a decent interpretation of Hobgoblin of which there are many on the market. Vampires in Regency high fashion or goblins in double breasted jackets and tricorn however: those feel more unique.
I like the implication that the goblins are scavengers with cast-off hats, and they’ll still fit right in if we reskin our games to the late 1700s. As for those playing in the 16th-17th centuries, the goblins must be moving backwards in time.
If you want to remove that metal base, a pair of big side cutting pliers and a 10"/25cm flat mill file will do the job. Cut the most of the cast on base off using the side cutters and then file the last down under the feet till it's gone.
@Gerry mcCabe Thank you for the reply. It looks like you have them on an MDF base. I take it you just glued the metal base to the MDF? Did you hide the bump with the basing material? Or am I way off base (get it?) and you are just using the metal bases?
This is a really entrusting game. I love the Napoleonic period and fantasy, so a wonderful coalition of themes and genres. These figures look larger than 30mm, what are they? EDIT, I should have waited until you measured Them! LoL
I love the late 18th century period dress on the vampires- my French unit, all veterans of the Revolutionary Wars remember well how the suffered under the Ancien Regime! No doubt they'll enjoy their duty of putting these literal blood sucking aristocrats in the ground! Quality looking miniatures, can't wait to grab some!
Not as impressed with these as the units. Nice scuptures but didn't grab me the way the characters/unit figures did. Got a little more interested in the vampires once Gerry showed off a painted version of each. Having be collecting figures for some long that I have a lot of horror on my shelves to chose from so new monsters are going to really need to grab me.
I'm a bit disappointed with the poses of the goblin & hobgoblin miniatures. Id be looking at a different manafacture for these. Keep the update s coming
It's a little thing but the period dress really ties the monsters to the setting. that detail alone makes them worth grabbing for my mini collection.
I really like the look of the metal minis. They have some of the old-school style that I so dearly like about the Northstar-Line. Now I sould like to see more monster and villan options from them. Otherweise, they have a lot from Frostgrave, that could be used as well.
Those vampires will be great for a few games
these vampires look like they could pass for humans ... very subtle I like it
Nice nostalgic vibe to all these… very cool.
Can't wait for the new factions and monsters to drop!
Those goblins just look great! So characterful especially with a bit of colour on
I like the goblin figures and they seem a good match for the description in the rule book, while the vampires seem characterful, but in general for the humanoid monsters there are so many plastic Napoleonic & Fantasy multi-part figures around, that they provide plenty of opportunity to kit-bash.
Thanks for profiling this new game, it looks fun and the miniatures have a good amount of character!
Looks like 2022 will be off to a good start….these minis are worth waiting for. As always nice video guys.
I like the look of these, especially the goblins. Great paint work there!
Love to see some monsters. I think as you said some probably came from the existing North Star line up. Again, good looking models and painting too.
I ahve to admit those goblins are amazing, I love it when a fanmtasy trope has something different done with them
Those vampires are such a cool pair of models and widely useful for other games and systems too!
Nice set of metal sculpts, good that they have a range of monsters for this intriguing game.
Love Northstar minis, great to work with always minimal cleanup!
Looks real nice! Dracula’s America was a lot of fun and this fits nicely bringing that genre to Europe.
This is a lot of fun to watch! thanks for the videos.
I'm glad you are covering this game. Santa/Father Christmas will have to put it in my stocking.
That is some lovely goblins. Very characterful. The vampires are nice as well 🙂
Haven't had a miniature on the table top for best part of 30 years but gothic napoleonics is sorely tempting
This looks fantastic! It almost has an old school vibe
Going to use my Wrath of Kings vampire and werewolf models for this game. Yet these Vampire minis are awesome and I'll have to get them as well. Still on the fence about the other minis. Thanks for the review.
The goblins look fantastic but i must admit i am really digging the Lady Vampire!
Some very nice looking figures, loving the goblins!
Some of these give me a real Oldhammer vibe, I cant help but appreciate that!
Great upgrade of the Grave-engine!
We’re did you purchase the goblins cannot find or did not hear if you mentioned
Thanks keep making I’ll keep watching!
The Goblins are the pick of the bunch for me, closely followed by the Vampires. I got a real gremlin vibe off a couple of those goblins, really quite nice.
lovely sculpts, do like Northstar minis
Nice minis. Would be up to getting the vampires and hobgoblins as they could be used in different games. Anyone any idea if all these would fit in 2.5mm bases?
I'm not too keen on those vampires but the other sculpts are quite fun
Thanks for the sneak peek at these
Cool looking models.
Those goblins I don't think have been previewed at all elsewhere, and they are quite handsome looking little nasties.
The hobgoblins are indeed catalogue minis.
Big fan of these. Need to get myself a set of those vampires.

I love the Wolfe Toners there

Monster, Monster...brilliant job on the vampires
More incredible north star monsters! Amazing!
Really liking the art style across this game
The vampires and golbins look fun!
Im very interested, what other monsters will come! I hope some more will be based on eastern-european folklore too.
Yep.These look great . Can't wait!!
What great looking figures. North Star has really gone Coat and Tails on these great looking figures!!!
Nice figures. Looking forward to solo play.
nice paintjob, effective!
i am rly excited to try silver bayonet out, he keeps coming out with games faster than i can play them! XD
Loving these ...super excited for the silver bayonet ... just struggling to get what I want into 100 points!
Couple of those goblins look like they should be running the bar at DS9.

Vampires in Regency high fashion or goblins in double breasted jackets and tricorn however: those feel more unique.
Interesting that the vampires have powdered wigs. Those were phased out by the time of Napoleon, but I guess these vampires didn't get the memo.

i like the victorian look to the creatures
Those vampires are very nice.
How did you remove them from the metal bases?

nice models
The vampires have great dance moves XD
Goblins look fantastic!
Great minis.

I like the style of those vampires.
Any excuse to build up the Gothic bestiary is a good excuse!
I feel like I already have a lot of monsters for other games. Not sure about this collection.
They're so cooooool
The vampires remind me of the ones in the first Darkest Dungeon game.
this game is exactly what i need in my life
Can’t wait for an expanded bestiary of monsters, but the ones in the book are all great. Really love the vampires
the vampires and goblins are top notch, the hobgoblins on the other hand scream ''catalogue leftovers''. I wouldnt bother with them.
So cool! But those Hobs look far too goofy for me!
I like the vampires and the normal goblin
The goblins are my favourites.
Just need convince the kids we need to play this :)
Monsters in top hats and bonnets (got to be an equal opportunity villain collective)
Oh well no top hats, but those wigs are cracking
Great looking game
I love these monsters
These are awesome, dobby not playing!
Very cool
Iwould love to win some of these.
Love this game.

look cool! Hope to win
Would love to win! Nice vid 🙂

These look great, and I'm not just saying that because there seem to be a lack for monsters in napoleonic clothing
@Gerry mcCabe I stand corrected. (NS still looks great, though ;) )
I'm a bit disappointed with the poses of the goblin & hobgoblin miniatures. Id be looking at a different manafacture for these. Keep the update s coming
Love the goblins and Vampires but I'm not a fan of hobgoblin s
These look neither Napoleonic nor Gothic nor Horror.
