I love when i can make something that puts smiles on faces. Love this. Thank you for sharing. I made a donkey from a claw hammer before. Called it a jack hammer. People got a kick out of it.

I know you’re not the first to do an animal head… But you are a true master. Not only have you perfected something into such a whimsical heart warming shape, but you make it with endless variety of poses that each one seems more desirable than the last. You are an artist for having captured such a real truths to imitate life, such as the ear pose or noticing any other detail to make it more lifelike. But what makes you a master above all is your willingness to share your knowledge, your tool designs…. So freely.
Thank you so much for being so generous🙏

Just found your site, love the animal figures. I am in the process of making the tools you are sharing to. Make the silly donkey heads.Could you tell what is the machine you use to fuller the donkey's nose,is it a small tredle hammer. Cheers Shane, watching you from Australia.

It's a fly press with a set of half inch round fullers I made. Works well. Any type of half inch fuller should work. I used a guillotine style for a long time worked good. Thanks

Fantastic product! So nice to see the first ones that you made, it highlights WHY you do it they way you showed and HOW you figured out what worked. I've held onto some of those sorts of things in a dusty corner, and it's fun to look through them and see where I've been and where I've gotten to.

Thank you for sharing your secrets with us! I have one too....if a wound won't heal quickly I apply honey to it, works wonders. Looking forward to your next project. My family liked my attempt to tortoises mounted on wood for paper weights.

The turtles are so fun. Thanks for the tip on honey. I actually have been using a medical honey.. it was ok. I started using raw honey from my area and the results are awesome. I think I might even get some feeling back. It was a bad burn. Lost feeling in my pinky cause of it
Your right honey is amazing. Glad your tortoise came out great 👍 Thank you.

I tried this technique...worked out pretty well, and the donkey did indeed look silly. I did have a problem though with the "neck". I drew it out and rounded the bar off to set it up for a future hook. However, with all the hammering and the using guillotine tool, it put a lot of movement back and forth on the neck and it ended up snapping off. I only hit it at yellow/orange. Any suggestions on how to avoid this from happening in the future?
