Sweet Time is one of my favourite songs on the Nurture album and it's the song I've listened to the most on the album by a long shot. While a lot of people interpret the song to be about romantic love and that is the original intended meaning that Porter had for the song, to me, it's about a different kind of love. To me, Sweet Time is about the love that I have for my life and the very fact of my existence. It's so easy to get lost in the day-to-day happenings in one's life and all of the struggles and human problems that come with it that we can lose sight of just how incredible of an opportunity this existence truly is. When I find myself getting lost in this feeling, the lyrics of Sweet Time remind me to take a step back and appreciate all that life can be. There are so many things in this universe to find gratitude in and to feel love for, and as this is probably the only chance we have to experience it all, I feel that it's important that we don't waste this opportunity. With the message of the Nurture album being "Everything we need is already here", I feel that this interpretation is perfectly fitting. Thank you Porter Robinson for creating this song which has genuinely helped me to love my life more in the last 14 months that I've known it. ❤

I'm glad that a piece of my love for Porter's music has been immortalized in something official from the artist. There's like three string notes starting at 1:35 that are in sync an octave up from the pitched vocals, that perfectly bring the chorus together somehow. It's so subtle but it really makes the track for me.
