I love Sadie and miss seeing her in the videos. Maybe if you sit down there with her for awhile and take your rifle, you could eliminate the gator or other predators around. I know the predators, especially coyotes mate from Jan. thru March and are more aggressive towards your pets, especially dogs. Sadie can’t be just barking at nothing. She’s a guardian dog and sees something or smells them. Please do more investigating with her. Maybe spend more time going around your property to look for tracks of predators. You definitely don’t want the dogs or goats down there if there’s a big gator around. Wasn’t there a cougar or mountain lion in your area a while back that killed a horse. If your area is in his territory, he could have made it back. Maybe prowling around looking for a mate. Or it could be any type of animal. I was wondering if you have installed any trail cameras up where Sadie is at a lot. That might help. She looks so sad, maybe because no one is listening to her warnings. I pray you take heed and just be with her to see what’s going on. Maybe not so much time with the longhorns. They can pretty much take care of themselves. Sadie is your protector and guardian dog. Don’t just dismiss her as she is just annoying and needs to just be quite. Do your investigating as her owner, do your part to follow up on why she’s barking. Your too spread out Lester. Listen to your dogs warnings. If she gos down in the water and there’s a big gator waiting for her, then she’s a goner. It will happen so fast, you’ll wonder where she went and that would be so sad. I don’t know why Sadie is barking. She wasn’t always a barker. In fact, I understood that most days/nights Sadie preferred to be with the goats, watching over and protecting them. Not being a wanderer or a barker. My common sense tells me, something is setting Sadie off. Something is precipitating this barking. She sees something, she smells something, she hears something, that we aren’t aware of. Sadie’s instincts and breed are telling her that she needs to guard and protect, even at the cost of her own demise - and I fully believe that’s what Sadie feels she is doing - on the other hand, I totally understand that you can’t have a dog barking day and night and disrupting the neighbors dogs, thus disrupting the neighbors peace as well. I don’t know what the answer is with the Sadie situation. I wish I did, because I do love that girl.... The ending to this video is very powerful. I so wish it was because she was brought home safely, but I have to believe that Audrii is singing in the Angel’s Choir and is being guided with the help of the most beautiful wings. Shirly Bird has ALWAYS loved banging her horns against something ever since she started getting horns. Actually when she first got them she would get stuck in fence constantly, believe it was 3 times in 1 day. Then once her horns got bigger she started making music with them lol. Shirley Bird just loves making music with her horns. She got it from her daddy, Lester, bc he is always walking around with them singing while out working and sings to them so she wants to be like her daddy but since she can’t sing she loves playing the drums with her horns. It is crazy bc she has done it for so long now that anytime I hear banging I always know it’s our sweet girl Shirley Bird. ❤ her so much!

She was found in the river with a rock tied to her, keeping her weighted down. Her pants were found on the edge of the river. It’s a horrible situation.
I love seeing Gary with the herd. He's so happy 😊. It always amazes me the amount of weight an ant can carry. They're so industrious!. I ended up in tears as you drove by that little girls spot. I feel for her, but more than that I feel for her family that was left behind. I can't begin to imagine the pain they must be feeling.

I read that part of Great Pyr's personality is they are barkers. They do this to warn predators to stay away. You can train them to not bark so much using voice commands, etc.
My next door neighbor had a great Pyrenees. It would bark when coming out of the house just to let everyone and everything know he was there. He barked at anything that moved and everything he heard. It is their nature and certainly is a problem to those who live close by. You have to be a good neighbor. 😊

Lester since Sadie has been at LHL y'all haven't had any attacks that we are aware of. I know her barking is annoying at times and especially at night but she is keeping danger away. Sometimes uncontrollable barking for her breed is a sign of predators or people. Gotta remember her senses are way stronger than ours or even other dogs senses. She is an awesome protector all around LHL'S. I would take her in a heartbeat if you ever wanna get rid of her. Trixie is so cute even with all her crazy habits! Those ants are naitive to Texas, they are strong and work all year long until winter. They won't sting or bother you unless you tick them off or disturb their hole. Shirley is so hilarious, she is like, " why me " 😂

How sad about the little girl. I don't know her story, but still have tears streaking down my face. I'm old and suffering day to day and would be so happy if God would let me come home, yet a little girl doesn't get to grow up. He could have taken me and given her some of what life energy I had. Sadie is a dog with a job and she takes it very seriously. I suspect she’s seeing or smelling something that instinctually she knows something is wrong. She’s the goodest girl. 🐶 ❤️
Barking is a part of their guarding. Great Pyrs bark a lot so you will just have to overlook it if you have a Pyr😊

Lester since Sadie has been at LHL y'all haven't had any attacks that we are aware of. I know her barking is annoying at times and especially at night but she is keeping danger away. Sometimes uncontrollable barking for her breed is a sign of predators or people. Gotta remember her senses are way stronger than ours or even other dogs senses. She is an awesome protector all around LHL'S. I would take her in a heartbeat if you ever wanna get rid of her. Trixie is so cute even with all her crazy habits! Those ants are naitive to Texas, they are strong and work all year long until winter. They won't sting or bother you unless you tick them off or disturb their hole. Shirley is so hilarious, she is like, " why me " 😂

She's not like the rest of the dogs, she has a job, self hired, to look after the farm. Sadie takes her job seriously. How can people complain about dogs barking on a farm? How sad about the little girl. I don't know her story, but still have tears streaking down my face. I'm old and suffering day to day and would be so happy if God would let me come home, yet a little girl doesn't get to grow up. He could have taken me and given her some of what life energy I had. Bless her family and the community.
