I love the way sometimes it's Susan and Paul harmonising, then it's Bob and Susan, then Paul and Bob, while the remaining singer does a little solo line or two. They've got their arrangements down tight, no weak links, I love it.
So here I was, 8th grade, not many friends but my mom got me a record player and one album. It was the Cowsills! I listened to that album about everyday. They became my best friends when I needed a friend and let me soar as they harmonized We Can Fly. Only very few artists have moved me in such an immense fashion. When I had surgery in the 90,s, my Dr mentioned that I could bring some music to listen to...of course I brought the Cowsills with me! I never knew the backstory. I really am grateful for their company in the journey of my life, singing their absolutely perfect harmonies like I always remembered. My sincerest thanks. I am humbled to hear your story. Thanks for 50+ years of comfort. 😲🌸🌺🥀🌼🌷
This is what is so beautiful about this family. So much talent and still they can find the time to play to a hand full of people when they can still book out a concert hall. Im in awe of these guys.
The more I see of them I never cease to be amazed at their talent ! The covers of other songs are very good too ! Love finding new posts on their music . First time I’ve seen this one .. Love how they interact with the audience, answering questions and giving back stories of their lives .
Before the The Hippies, there were The Flower Children. They were colorful, happy, and handed out flowers to everyone. "The Rain, The Park, and Other Things" really captured the groovy vibe of "Flower Power".
I am absolutely SICK that I missed this!!! I lived 3 miles up the road, but I didn't know about it. UGH!!! It would have been so fun! Thanks for filming!!!
WOW! I spotted this video, and being a big Cowsills fan, decided to watch a few minutes of it.An hour later, and I was exhausted. This was so well-made,and the folks responsible should be proud of it.I haven't seen the documentary yet,but I plan on it. And my goal is to see the Cowsills live. Not an easy feat for a guy from small-town Canada, but it will happen.thanx so much
Way back in the very late 60's a couple of songs were huge hits on radio in Australia - Indian Lake and of course Hair. As a young kid then I loved both and of course the flower girl song. Life moves on, people and influences come and go but one of the things that stuck with me all these years are those harmonies and the simple joy of the songs. I heard nothing more of the Cowsills until I got all nostalgic a while ago and searched for them and here they are, still going and bring joy to the world. From me to you thank you so much for all you gave me.... Cheers and love - Steve
Wicked awesome!!! I love the Cowsills!! Susan is so cute and of course very talented!! Bob is the survivor of the Billy and Bob creative machine! Great to see Paul, wish John were with them!! Hope you perform in Houston!!
I still have the vinyl album whose cover was shown at around 3:30. And although it's 2018 and I am 68 I am going to go dig out that record from my vast collection and listen to it as soon as I finish this comment.
This just popped up on my recommended list. Wow, how cool it would've been to be there! I purchased Family Band last year, and my love and respect for the Cowsills went through the roof. Thank you for sharing this!
Anyone else remember the milk promotionals? Yea, I get it - milk = cow. Did they get ribbed by their fellow school mates? Probably not so much since they knew the younger ones had older brothers. I can imagine the sales though. I can’t remember the song/s related to the milk commercial. Does anyone else?
I saw The Cowsills perform in New Jersey 2x, the year 1968. I still remember how great they were. Caught a few more shows in the early 90’s that included Barry. It was in a small club in New Jersey. I was so happy to see Barry’s return! Their beautiful harmonies filled those 4 walls. Last time I saw them was in September 2000 at Taste of Rhode Island weekend festival…ALL the brothers(+ Susan)!! It was phenomenal. Spoke with Susan, Bob and Barry…so warm and friendly! Sad that we lost Bill and Barry in 2005. So happy to see someone posted one of the weekend’s shows on RUclips. I’ve watched it numerous times. Check it out! ruclips.net/video/xRzM2L4kCfk/видео.html
The Cowsills were, are, and always will be Awesome! They sound better than ever, and I know Johnny's got a great gig with The Beach Boys, but it would be amazing if he could do a few gigs with the family. Loved this, but it's a shame Susan got the bums rush at the end.
Masterclass in raw talent… without all the other instruments it’s so enjoyable to listen to Paul’s voice in songs like Indian Lake .. he has a great little vibrato going and should do more leads
Thanks for sharing this very insightful video with us. The Cowsills never disappoint and their music is timeless. I always wonder about the story behind the broken window in the video @1:03:34. Someone please ask them; What's up with the broken window?
3 people and a guitar. The Cowsills ARE so brilliant. The people listening to this are getting the treat of a lifetime.

I'm 66 and in Montana - I saw the Cowsills live twice - and they were my favorite group and a magical part of my adolescence....God bless them ~
Just three of them, and they can STILL ROCK those chords. All kinds of 'ring'. Ear candy.
Cowsills, I love you all. Thank you for the beautiful music.

It's truly amazing what those three voices can do!
Play, sing compose, produce, perform….tight vocal harmonies. Gifted. Not many performers can do more than one of those tasks.

Amazing, just love their voices and harmony.
I recognize all those picture record albums. I just don’t know when I returned home where they are anymore. Long live the 60’s :)
Real singers---no BS. auto tune etc. TALENT.
You hit it Real Singers. Not like David Cassidy who was all echos.
I love this musical band. My respects and admiration from Chile. Thank you for this extraordinary musical gift.
Susan was a living doll I had a huge crush on her when I was a child
Everyone just loves them! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Man! Those family harmonies give me goose bumps!
They bring back so many memories of the mid/late 60s. I miss those times. No bills and no worries. Wish we could all be transported to 1967.
❤LOL 😆 😂 🤣 😅 😂🎉🎉Keep yourself happy new month to be...😊
That was fun, thank you. It's amazing that those kids all made it to adulthood without falling prey to lifes pitfalls.
I am absolutely SICK that I missed this!!! I lived 3 miles up the road, but I didn't know about it. UGH!!! It would have been so fun! Thanks for filming!!!
Love them , they are great musicians and have a Big Heart
This was Great , Thank you :) QC

This is an exciting Video. Nothing else like it on youtube. The Cowsills were great. Many Thanks for Sharing.
Those harmonies are spooky brilliant.
Reminds me of early pink Floyd with Sid Barrett very spooky
They harmonize as good as The Beach Boys and just as much fun to listen to.
John Cowsill is the drummer for the Beach Boys

love the cowsills..and in my hometown..😊
There exists magic of all kinds in my home town. Putting the Cowsills in the midst of it makes it grow exponentially.
Great enjoyable video! Love the good feeling of their music and personalities! I've been dancing in my seat.

Someone had better start writing their memoirs before they're all gone.
Wow, so happy I ended up here ~ thanks, great video share!!

I like their version of “I Think I Love You.”
SIEMPRE EN NUESTRA MEMORIA
Bob Cowsill - my hero

Not could he should join his family.John is another person who does not know how much The Cowsills mean to All of us.
@@spectrumlocalb191 Great gigs where you can earn a living don't grow on trees. I'm sure the Cowsills understand John wanting to earn money.

this is great, thanks for posting!
What is inspiring is the glossary of therapeutic convos. How does that evaluate ?
