Lelouch thats not a gift , its the adaption, some people tend to lern WAY FASTER then others (not me tho) so they progress faster i did the mistake playing 4k half a year and not starting 7k right away, well its not easy but i can pass 2* after a week of practise at times, getting finger independence is crucial, if you have that your way more comfortable and natural while playing try it play 7k only for quite some time and you see the results

Joey Huds you need faster fingers for playing mania than piano. Mania is about sightreading a simple repetitive notation, playing piano is about learning how to play and memorizing quite complex notes.
