By the time I first played it 5 was already out and 6 was about to come out. To me this game was everything that made the previous games great, all blended into one game.
Mega Man 4 has by far my favorite final boss music and fight of all of the Mega Man games. When you're just a kid, it's frickin' hard to do! The music sounds desperate and important and having this boss fight in the dark just gets your heart pumping!

Everything is outside is wet and the air is chilly. After I've watched another episode of my favourite show I take the laptop and go to play. I search for something new and I see Megaman 4. I've played Megaman 3 at summer I said... Is 4 better? I select the first opponent which was toad man. This music blasts my ears and I said woaaah what an amazing soundtrack. Clock shows 9:10 pm rain stops and after several game overs I manage to clear three robots. I said that's enough for today I should continue this amazing game on the weekend to get hyped, so I ate dinner and watched some TV until midnight and went to sleep. The weekend with this game was amazing. I will never forget it
I often go after Pharaoh Man early since his Pharaoh Shot is very useful, especially against the penguins and umbrella creatures in Toad Man's stage, the dumping rocks in Drill Man's stage, and the hippos and Saturn creatures in Ring Man's stage.

I didn't get to play this one, but my brother did. He also said that this was the hardest of all the NES Megaman games he played as well. The music was so-so until Pharaoh Man's stage, and Dr. Cossack's/Wily's Castle; I liked it.
This was a good sub-plot in thinking Dr. Cossack was behind this and actually he was only out to get Mega Man because Dr. Wily held Dr. Cossack’s daughter hostage. 45:30

Для меня эта часть находится в топ-3 наравне с ММ7 и ММ9. Конечно, есть минусы, например плохая физика, замедления и прочее, но они не очень значительные и решаются с помощью современных ромхаков, которые я тоже не оставлю без внимания: ну, серьёзно, такие творения как «Rockman 4: Minus Infinity» и «Mega Man 4: Voyage» - настолько превосходны, что вполне могли бы быть официально изданными от Capcom. В общем, ММ4 явно не является той игрой, которую нужно обойти стороной.
I wish Capcom would have kept some of the sound effects from the first two MegaMan games. The explosion on the crash bomber sounded more satisfying the explosion sound effect they used in this one.
People always tend to clump this game with the messes that is Mega Man 5 and 6, and it is very odd. Why is that the case? Not only is this one better than those two games, but even better than the games in the first half of the NES hexology, even Mega Man 2, which everyone seems so heavily attached and nostalgic to. This is my personal favourite in the Classic series.

I prefer to start with either Toad or Dust man, since they are the easiest to beat without a special weapon.
I go after Pharaoh Man first and do some farming at Drill Man's stage and Ring Man's stage.
For me personally, mega man 3 and 4 are the golden standard for this brand
