Thanks for sharing your videos on the Central Virginia Kayak Bass Anglers Facebook page. I like how you offer the reports. Good job. One tip if you don’t mind me offering, especially if you plan on doing any online tournaments or measuring for citation submissions, always face your fish to the left, mouth closed as you can get it resting up against the gate or end of the board. Great job my friend!
You can get bait during the season like minnows at Fountain Head Marina on the Occoquan Reservoir or Burke Lake Marina or Aden Grocery in Nokesville. Worms you can get at a lot of the local 7-11s. Hope this helps.
Well.... Mercer, Huntsman lakes are great. If you have a Kayak, even better. I have a bunch of videos on my channel from Northern Virginia. Check it out "Gogo Outdoors"
Awesome video. We haven’t fished at huntsman in a while, about to go try it out with my dad. Hopefully we get some good ones today!
Good Luck!!
Nice video man, I fish here all the time.
Thanks! Catch any Snakeheads there?

Hi.... thanks for the tip, never new that. I appreciate the support and feedback.
looked like a good day of fishing.
It was for sure, bass and catfish were hitting pretty much anything that day!
Dang, you tore up Huntsman lake!
Ya that was a great day for sure. The bite was on!!
Do you think plastic or live minnows are better?
Well both are good, some days bass prefer minnows, other days plastics. Just need to experiment and see what works.
where to you get live bait around Springfield. Just moved to the area, havnt tried huntsman yet. fished belovir, bruke, and merser.
Fountainhead Regional park has minnows. Also, the gas station on the way to the town of Clifton sells worms as well.
You can also get live bait at Burke Lake, which is not far from Springfield
Where did you get the minnows from in this area? I can't find them anywhere
Burke Lake, Fountain Head Rez or Aden Grocery in Nokesville are the closest areas I know of.
Jake's Bait and Tackle in Winchester is another.
