As a cheerleader i will always say we have a place anywhere, we have been fighting to be recognised as a sport for so long and we are only just starting to be seen as one. I do think it would be cool of gladiators did reincorporate cheerleading into the show, just perhaps in a different way;possibly making them more involved and having a normal length routine(also i should say that I absolutely love watching LDC compete)
For some people it's a job and probably pays more than most day jobs so why does this woman have a problem saying they're accessories does she not realise these women want to do it and aren't forced
Personally I believe that G-force were cut because cheerleading is more of an American thing these days even though we have it in the UK, lets be honest has anyone ever seen cheerleading at the premier league for example?
If anyone had been to a cheerleading competition they would understand, dancers would have no place on a cheer team, as its a different physical requirement. Now in a show? thats the shows decision. So the question should have been, you had dancers wearing cheer outfits to engage the audience, then you show real cheerleaders in your studio stunting. They are athletes not dancers going through the motions of clapping hands with poms, the fact the studio don't get that, is down to the research team, not explaining and asking the question. "Do you think you should have dancers pretending to be cheerleaders for their looks? over real cheerleading teams from the UK rotating week in week out? YES you would support UK cheerleading by doing that, but putting in pretty dancers to pretend to be cheerleaders is not a great look, thus they were removed. Keep cheerleading and support cheerleading by getting UK cheer team in the shows...its a no brainer really and would help promote cheerleading in the UK from around england, Ireland, scotland and Wales as all the area's have cheerleading in them at competitions. Cheerleading is both male and female sport, its all about the athlete not their looks and people need to understand that difference between dancers for looks and athletes for sport.
@@rb3883 google to see yourself. They danced. Cheerleading athletes and dancers cheering to hype the audience are totally different. Look at their clothing, it would simply not be suitable. Bradley Walsh's wife and Barney Walsh's mum, was head choreographer in 1992 series for all eight series. To qualify as a cheerleading coach takes yrs of hard work, but it’s totally different to dance routines. The show chose to lose the dancers, not cheerleading, that’s my whole point. Cheerleading is exciting, acrobatic, team building, has risk, but these athletes train over yrs to get good at it, travelling to the US to compete, again my point. Researches showed dancers in cheer outfits, then showed real cheerleading that’s all. No comparison.
Daisy is a classic Lefty who looks at something from a far, doesn't really know a lot about the topic, but happy to make a snap judgement and say "we should cancel that because it's bad for a certain group of people". Like James said, G-Force played a vital role in the show's success beyond what was shown on screen. They keep the crowd entertained, created energy during the events and yes, they looked great because they PUT IN THE WORK. And btw, not every gets to be a Gladiator, that's life.
There's only the 1 gladiators that's the original and yes they should have cheerleaders the reboot is ok but not as good as original they should also have picked original gladiators to commentate or some new folks. Bradley great on the chase but we don't need him and now his son on everything they've made enough out of TV fame give someone else a chance
Another case of "something offends my fragile sensibilities, it's got to go". Hunter is right. Cheerleaders have a place in Gladiators. That woman is pathetic!

That woman makes no sense at all. She loves the cheerleaders but doesn’t think the show should have cheerleaders. WTH is wrong with people? 😂
For some people it's a job and probably pays more than most day jobs so why does this woman have a problem saying they're accessories does she not realise these women want to do it and aren't forced
The lady wants "plus sized" cheerleaders which is completely against the spirit of Gladiators: champion athletes in a game of good sportsmanship
this day and age?.. am surprised it's not a load of blokes ..🙄😂
If she doesn't like it change the channel don't watch it ?

To move with the times have male cheerleaders also.
Exactly. Most cheer groups have males involved anyway. I don’t see what the problem is with having cheerleaders on gladiators.

Well said.
If you want to see what I mean search Unity all stars black.
Do you know for a fact G-Force couldn't do any of that?
