Pet?! Pichu is no one's pet! If anything, Sephiroth is Pichu's pet. Sephiroth is merely a vessel who will bring about an era of despair so that everyone will know the pain that Pichu is in every waking moment of their existence. And they shall learn to love the pain, just as Pichu does.

While the others get annoyed at the anime boys for taking forever to spike their hair imagine how Sephiroths roommate(s) feel about the amount of trash he produces solely because he has to use an entire bottle of shampoo and conditioner anytime he bathes (which yes, that's actual lore for those who might not know)
So that's how he keeps his hair so silky smooth!
Yea, The smell of his hair also changes everyday because Shinra constantly provides him with flavoured shampoos and top quality perfumes. ( Yes, this is also canon)
