Lucin, Utah is not actually that far, by Western standards, from West Wendover, NV, or Elko, NV.
$16,000 for 40 acres of peace and silence? Not bad.
But the taxes on that much land may be a drag.
That town in the Italian Alps is pretty nice, is there power? I recon it could be fixed up with the $10,000. I am retired with no pressing issues. Who do I contact? 🙂

Interesting and educational. Thank you for sharing.
I don’t believe the one at 5:00 surely if they’re paying people to move, people of 50+ who have nothing, depression groups etc would set something up for them to be able to move there. I mean that would be a chance to have a new life, and have a community of all respectful people. Think of how utopic that could be
Perhaps they want young people or 30s ?
to answer your question about the one in the italian alps, YES
Yes i would live there for life in Italy if it has the things and food i require?
Wittenoon Australia is not for sale. It is prohibited to go there. There is one man living there still and refuses to leave.
I’d buy the last one and just knock everything down and start building myself a big ass mansion using whatever resources were around
Best Idea🏆
Taking a payment of $10,000 when and if you could use or need it.. with the stipulation that you would have to live in that town for the rest of your life.. is the dumbest f@ckin deal I've possibly ever heard. I'll never be tied down to one place....ever.
I would go to Lacana, Italy.
One of the many things I have learned in the past 60 years, is that nothing in life is free.
There are no such things as "specials".
There are always price tags, always conditions, always reasons why people want to get rid of something.
"please sign on the dotted line sir - you can read the fine print later in your own time".
How is the town that is offering $10,000 to people moving there not full of criminals yet? I mean, think about it.

Purchase the town and move your whole family there period stock up on organic seeds now, stockpile what you need to upgrade and then bounce! When they turn off the internet next year and everybody loses their money you're going to wish you had somewhere to go. In 34 days I'm leaving New York City selling everything and I'm walking back West
This day and age, you’d think likeminded people into building would get a group big enough that everyone would restore one of these ghost towns.
I would like to take up the french town challenge, but with a few conditions.
1) We need to buy surrounding 5k acres with absolute rights at the price of $60/acre and $1.0/acre/year taxes, no more.
2) I get to bring my own people to settle the land.
3) We all get citizenship on arrival and as people arrive, don't worry we will learn french.
I can't believe some big movie studio hasn't bought that last one in France with the 19th century buildings for 150k, seems like a steal for hollywood
