Good info. My XLs come on Monday, looking forward to using them. I was out this week in sustained 20 knot winds and the stock phones were problematic in the high wind.
Have the puck and cable at the moment for the XPD2 but it’s on my bucket list to buy the more expensive over ear latest edition headphones to do away with the cable for windy beach hunting
Still trying to find the WSA 2 module only. I have my original back of the head headphones that the WS6 master came on but I want to mount the master on the shaft and use the already purchased headphone frame to mount the WSA 2 module to. Any idea where I can buy the WSA 2 module only? No one seems to know where they are sold. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Mike in sunny Florida
Would I be able to connect an audio port to bluetooth adaptor to the puck and use my wireless bluetooth headphones? as opposed to wired headphones? My deus 2 is coming this week finally.
Another option is to plug in little Bluetooth transmitter and you can connect to any Bluetooth headphones or earbuds. I use a little $20.00 rechargeable transmitter which transmits to my Oticon hearing aids I don't even need headphones.
"What about updating the WSAIIXL headphones when you are already on version 2 on the RC ? I am being told I need to update the headset itself but its not obvious how", and no one is showing how to update the XLs. If you try to pair it it does not display the serial number.
Scott, do you know where I can find a rainproof cover to put over the WS6 Puck when it is attached to the XP shaft, and used as a master remote? Thanks.👍 I know that the puck is rainproof, but I want to keep dirt and sand off of it as well.
@Doug I did find this: www.ebay.com/itm/185643161995?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=bCBzpEf9Sj2&sssrc=2047675&ssuid=UqkyfoGEQlW&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
I have the XP Deus 2 Master hi seem to be having a hard time finding ground tracking auto the checkmark that’s on the remote. Can you take the master and find it for me?
Scott, I bought the WSIIXL headphones, pretty much based on your review. I’ve had them for a couple of weeks now, I’m satisfied with the sound quality, but one problem persists. They’re very loose on my head. As soon as I bend over, they slide off my head. have you noticed this, and do you have a fix for it?
I'm sure you have done this but have you adjusted them, they do adjust so they shouldn't fall off your head. I usually wear a hat so I haven't had any issues.
Scott, do you know where I can find a rainproof cover to put on the WS6 Puck? I’m using it as a master device. I’ve seen covers that you can use on the WS6, when using it attached to the XP headphones, but I wanna go sit over here WS6 when using the device to attach it to the XP shaft. Tnx 👍
I have the master and use the puck on my ear. It is wireless and i keep losing connection. The antenna seems pointless because i cant get it wet without losing connection. Other than that its great. Im frustrated.
I'm not sure that is the way the WS6 master was intended to be used. Seems to me that its too far away for the coil and if you don't have the antenna close to the master it won't work that way.
Give John Page a call at Fort Bedford Metal Detectors 814-215-1732 if he doesn't have them he may be able to order them for you but let him know you came over from Mental Metal.
I appreciate this Deus 2 videos, just bought ws6 master.
Great to hear!

The XLs should help a bit in those conditions.
Thank you for the clear review on the Deus headphone options. Best of luck!
My pleasure!
XP has a great lineup with the D2 and all of its accessories!!
They sure do Brian! Hope all is well on the west coast. Hopefully I'll see you in our Zoom call coming up.

The XLs are good but they won't eliminate all the noise. They will be better for the beach than the WSA IIs.
Another good video Scott!! Thank you.
You bet!
nice video, useful info, why i can't pair XL to the controller, do i have to up date the head phone to v2.0
You should update all of your headphones, coins, etc. to the same version of the remote.

Thanks Jim can you share the link for that transmitter. I might give it a try myself.
How is the latency?
@@rhinevalleygarage Not sure, but with my hearing Oticon Hearing aids, I can't detect any delay in the response.

Thx a lot again for the education: Question: Is there any way to use a Bluetooth Speaker with a WS6?
I did see Gary Blackwell (XP Detector School) do a video with the WS6 and he was using a Bluetooth speaker so I think the answer is yes.
@@MentalMetal Thx a lot Scott.

I haven't seen anything but keep checking Ebay. Thats where most of those items are found.

Do you have to have the puck connected to the headphones for it to work or can you mount it to the shaft so you can see the puck?
XP does have additional mounts for the shaft and wrist that you can mount the puck in or on your wrist.
@@MentalMetal but does the headphones work with out the puck mounted to them?

I would keep checking Ebay because that is where a lot of that stuff shows up first. I haven't seen anything yet though.

@@MentalMetal I believe the headphones need to be plugged in while in the water. I'll try that. Thank you.
Are the xp headphones Bluetooth or radio?
Excellent video....but watching a dog's butt in the background really made me laugh!
Rocky is there for those moments. LOL
