The DM48 plus iPad (mine is a used Mini from eBay) is such a wonderful combination. So many great sounds and possibilities using standard harmonica techniques. Highly recommended!

You are such a genius, Sir! I love your style of playing a lot. Waiting for the miniMIDI JOYstick. I am from Kolkata, India and I purchased DM 48 from your site. Can I be able to purchase the JOYstick from you and will it be shipped to India?

Thanks BaldPlay! Absolutely: we will announce the miniMIDI-JOYstick tomorrow Wednesday with a webpage for ordering, and it can be shipped to India for sure 👍

Great demo! I was curious if the Lekholm had a polyphonic option and am glad to learn it does. Would love to hear you demo chugs in some other tunings.

Thanks Randy! I'm just getting started with this vamping style in Polyphonic mode, will definitely continue with it in other tunings. I'd love to hear a good tongue block player in action with it.

If we can see us next time, maybe I could try it. (Maybe you can remember my polyphonic and rhythmic tongue block style.)
Electronics is not exactly my cup of tea, as you already know. But it is amazing what you can do with it. Best I like the accordion sounds, as well as heavy organ sounds. And the sound from 9:45 to 10:45 is reminding me very much of the sound of a Khaen. (You might listen to this: ruclips.net/video/vT5gdQc2-X8/видео.html )
Just shakuhachi or flute does not match chord playing. ;-)
And it is interesting that the original sound of a blues harmonica seems not to be possible to emulate with the DM48?
Or did you just not show it on this video, because you took this for granted?
But for this we are lucky to have the old school acoustic blues harmonica anyway. :-)
      dear greetings
      triona

@@triona1367 Thanks for your interesting comments as always, Triona! I enjoyed the link. There is a chromatic harmonica sample package available, but to me the whole point of a MIDI Harmonica is to give different sounds whilst using existing playing techniques: I already have plenty of real harmonicas! I really like the expression on the DM48 too, highly recommended 👍

Can this be played hands free in a harmonica holder? Not sure if it would fit in one or not. If so, it can open up new possibilities on solo gigging if one can play this at the same time while playing guitar or keyboards and some kind of foot percussion. I'm not a big MIDI fan, it's too bad it doesn't have a built in sound engine.

Yes, if you don't use the slide. But remember you can't bend with mouth embouchure as you can on a normal harmononica.

I think what makes it an appealing rhythm is that it almost sounds like it came from the natural world. Or the unintentional rhythms that we find from train tracks or wheat mills.
But I think the midi sound loses that feel. I like that you explore these things, but as with Bele Flecks midi banjo, I think you lose more than you gain
