Hello. Are you going to make a video about Cuba? I want to go to Cuba in October this year (2020), but I don't know if Covid-19 will allow me. I guess the trip will offer me something else. I plan Bali, Komodo and Java in a year, Sri Lanka and the Maldives a year later.

I like the Manfrotto NX CSC camera bag. As mentioned in the comments you can bubble wrap the lap top for protection. I also like the fish net side pockets over the zippered side pockets that are on the Manfrotto Metropolitan camera bag.

Also I like the lifestyle one. With the back entry. Seems safer. I don’t carry my laptop much so that seems the best for day trips and small adventures. 😁

Great review Chris and I think I'm going to get one of those. I've been wanting to take more time exploring the features of my DSLR in preparation of when travel opens up again. One of things I didn't like years ago was having the heavy camera and extra lens in a standard cheapo backpack and carrying that around all day. These look like great options! Thanks for sharing.

I like those packs!! And Christine I have missed your travel posts! I use a paksafe sling bag for travel right now, but either of these is perfect!! I'm focused on traveling local right now, but these are perfect for my trips! I'm feeling the 2nd bag for non laptop trips!!

Very enjoyable and helpful video Christine. I've been working on minimalising all aspects of my travel gear during lockdown item by item, gram by gram, to come up with the most compact, lightweight, all round 1 bag solution. I bought the NX/CSC here in Thailand today after considering weight, sizing and layout, really pleased with it. I'm slightly modifying it for my carry by putting my Tenba BYOB 9 insert with Fuji gear in the top section, perfect sizing fits like a glove, then removing the bottom camera cube and using that section to store my Uniglo T's, spare shorts, socks and unders, Marie Kondo folding method for space utilisation :)). The bag is lightweight, comfy straps and pocket sizing and layout is just perfect for my gear haul. I've got it dlown to perfection with this bag now

but they did not figure out how to access the camera with the CSC when wearing the backpack. You have to put the bag down somewhere to access the lower part of the bag.
I am looking for a strong bag that will work as a small travel backpack and also work as a walk-around camera bag. As I travel on Ryan Air, I have the size limit of 40cmx25x20. If there is a recommendation, I would be grateful for it. Sadly these 2 do not work for me.

lifestyle seems great! I only needed to fit my 13 inch laptop and my peak design tripod. Seems pretty much perfect for me. the peak design camera bag I got have all my stuff all over the place, don't really like that scenario.
I loved the Manfrotto NX CSC. Sadly It was stolen recently, now I'm trying to find a new bag and no one is as cheap and practical as this one. I'm going for it again.

Try just a small amount of thin bubble wrap around your laptop,weighs nothing,increase the volume only slightly and comes in handy for that must have but oh so fragile souvenir

Very informative content. I personally don't like how boxy and stiff a lot of camera bags come across. For some reason they're always the equivalent to a padded box.

Love them! They look so good. It's a big struggle to find a bag that suits your needs. And I mean any bag, not only a camera bag. My old compact DSLR camera bag needs to be replaces, cause it's 9 years old! But I can't find the same kinda holster bag with 4 zip pockets :( And I only value zip pockets, cause they are the most reliable and safest in my opinion. I don't need to carry a laptop so I only need a small bag with a lot of pockets. I looked at Manfrotto and I found the one I liked, but someone bought the last one in front of me..

Yes. The lack of laptop storage was a big one for me too at first. I’m always extra delicate with my pack knowing my laptop faces outside.

You mean the little manfrotto logo dot? Good idea- it can look off-brand or be mistaken for a knock off, which can only aid in safety
GRRRLTRAVELER | Christine Kaaloa covering it would be a bit discreet, I guess thieves would know there are valuables in the bag, since manfrotto is associated with photography, customs officers are trained to spot these things, especially in countries that aren’t drone freindly😉
Too funny, I have the same blue Manfrotto backpack and it's my favorite too, so much in fact that I am selling my Peak Design Everyday 20L Backpack and my Peak Design 5L Sling because it's so light and compact and I never use them anymore. I put my 13" MacBook Pro in the front part all the time no problem. I got the Manfrotto on a Best Buy daily deal for like $30 which made it an even better deal. Manfrotto should make a higher quality, better version for maybe $100 and I would buy that instantly Interestingly enough even though it seems more compact than the PD 20L, I can actually fit slightly more stuff in the Manfrotto than the PD. I keep a rainfly in it too just in case it rains so that's good. I recommend pairing it with the Peak Design Tech Pouch which makes maximizing the space in the bag even better.
