Have you done a video tribute to Joe Alaskey? He was quite the impressionist during his younger, comedy club days. One of the best at imitating Ralph Kramden!❤
I was amazed too. I was also amazed at how close to a combination of Marlon Brando and Chick Vennera voice he came up with when I saw the behind the scenes footage of him. I felt it was ashame they had to make his character a small rat/mouse/opossum which meant his voice was made high pitch. I know it was a gag showing a small leader after huge polar bears coming out but I would have love there to be a way the original recording could be played throughout the scenes. The bits in the behind the scenes footage was chilling good!
I always found it funny that among his first roles as part of the cast of the second season of Inspector Gadget, he did a parody of Marlon Brando's Godfather (the Great Great Grandfather in the episode), and years later he's still doing that impersonation in a movie. It's pitched up, but I always could tell.
I knew the man had range and was incredibly talented. I had NO idea he did so many different characters of all types - and is barely recognizable. I met Rob Paulsen at a convention 10 years ago and Maurice is next on my list. He was born in Timmins Ontario and I'm only a few hours away in Sudbury. Need to meet this man in person!
Maurice Lamarche is one my favorite male voice actors along with Tom Kenny, Rob Paulsen, Billy West, Greg Cipes, John DiMaggio, Jason Marsden, Phil LaMarr, Kevin Michael Richardson, and Eric Bauza.
It took a few years after his 1981 move to L.A. for LaMarche to establish himself in the American voiceover industry, which he initially pursued as a side endeavor during his full-time standup comedy career. LaMarche began on Wolf Rock TV in 1984, Inspector Gadget in 1985 (season 2), and went on to Popples, Lazer Tag Academy, Dennis the Menace (season 2), Popeye and Son and The Real Ghostbusters (later Slimer! and The Real Ghostbusters) where he played Egon Spengler and its solo spin-off Slimer!. During and after The Real Ghostbusters, LaMarche became a regular mainstay of the voiceover industry, appearing in such shows as Tiny Toon Adventures, Camp Candy (season 2), Gravedale High, Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventures (season 1), Captain Planet and the Planeteers (later The New Adventures of Captain Planet), G.I. Joe, Attack of the Killer Tomatoes: The Animated Series, Tom & Jerry Kids (seasons 2-4), Taz-Mania, Where's Waldo, The Little Mermaid, Batman: The Animated Series, and Bonkers before landing perhaps his most recognized role in 1993 as The Brain on Animaniacs and later its spin-offs shows Pinky and the Brain and Pinky, Elmyra & the Brain. Following this, LaMarche worked on The Critic, Where on Earth is Carmen Sandiego?, Beethoven: The Animated Series, The Pink Panther, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (season 9), Dumb and Dumber: The Animated Series, Freakazoid!, Gadget Boy and Heather, Gadget Boy's Adventures in History, The Sylvester and Tweety Mysteries, The Tick, The Twisted Tales of Felix the Cat, The Adventures of Hyperman, The Spooktacular New Adventures of Casper, Bruno the Kid, Jumanji: The Animated Series, Quack Pack, Bobby's World, The Real Adventures of Jonny Quest, Road Rovers, Captain Simian & The Space Monkeys, Duckman, Dexter's Laboratory, Timon & Pumbaa, KaBlam!, Space Goofs, Johnny Bravo, Channel Umptee-3, Stickin' Around, Pepper Ann, and The Wacky World of Tex Avery before then reprising his role of Egon in Extreme Ghostbusters. The stretch of two years after this saw LaMarche portray characters in such shows as Hey Arnold! as Big Bob Pataki, King of the Hill as Rev. Thomason, Fire Chief, and various characters, Histeria! as George Washington, Abe Lincoln and Socrates, The Wacky Adventures of Ronald McDonald, The Secret Files of the SpyDogs, Dilbert, Queer Duck, Sabrina: The Animated Series, The Chimp Channel and Sonic Underground as Sleet, Great Grandfather Athair. During this time, Maurice would become the voice actor for Mortimer Mouse whom he would voice in the television series Mickey Mouse Works and Disney's House of Mouse. It was at this time, 1999, that LaMarche began work on Futurama, and since Futurama LaMarche has continued to work steadily in television, including The Oblongs, The Legend of Tarzan, Planet of the Taz, The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy, Sabrina's Secret Life, Evil Can Corne, Duck Dodgers, Kim Possible, The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron, Boy Genius, Xiaolin Showdown, Loonatics Unleashed, Shuriken School, Harvey Birdman, Attorney at Law, My Gym Partner's a Monkey, guest roles on The Simpsons (where he once again parodied Orson Welles). His most recent regular role came as Hovis the butler on the Nickelodeon series Catscratch. LaMarche was the voice of Father in Kids Next Door & he was also the voice of Victor in Playhouse Disney's Handy Manny Halloween episode (the latter Originally Aired on October 8, 2007). LaMarche has done various voice work for many Warner Bros. Animation and DiC Entertainment cartoons. He also delivered the protracted belches for the "Great Wakkorotti" shorts on Animaniacs, in which Wakko Warner performed various pieces of music. In 2011, LaMarche reprised his role again as Yosemite Sam in Cartoon Network's new series, The Looney Tunes Show, and its spin-off, New Looney Tunes. LaMarche made several roles in My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic where he voiced Chancellor Neighsay.
In the 80s and 90s I was way too old to watch any of these cartoons, but I enjoyed the video! Just subscribed and I like what I see. Thanks so much! God bless✝️

Not one comment so apparently nobody watched Histeria! where you can hear his most unique voice as different characters like Erik the Red in the attack of the vikings episode.
LaMarche is probably one of the voice actors that you just know from off the bat. Again another voice actor who has been apart of our childhoods and many others.
The funny part about LaMarche voicing Destro from G.I. Joe is that he later voiced a parody of him in the short lived series Evil Con Carne called Estroy.

So much talent. Him and all the Animaniacs were fantastic. A bit disappointed in his Yosemite Sam though. Yeah, not really that close, but the others were great.
Would love to see a series where you compile different clips of voice actors imitating a famous person, i.e. Hank Azaria and Maurice Le Marche doing an Edward G Robinson impression for various characters. Although maybe that would be annoying, a 5 minute video of "nyah, see? nyah, nyah." I kinda love that a lot of voice actors used impressions.
My fav roles of Maurice LaMarche are Father from Codename: Kids Next Door and Mr. Big from Zootopia. He is very comedic. His son Jonathan played for the late Christina Grimmie's band, I forgot what he played tho.
Please do David Herman next. He’s my favorite voice actor. Sure, he’s mostly known for only King of the Hill and Futurama, but he’s a legend like Tress MacNeille.
There was this odd Puss and Boots special (although it's actually pretty good) where LaMarche voices the villain--a shapeshifting ogre/wizard. I actually didn't recognize it as him until the wizard shows up in the guise of a handsome suitor to seek the hand of the princess. At that point, his voice is different when wooing the princess--it's his Orson Well's impression. The best part though is that Rob Paulsen was also in this special as Puss--called Basil here.
Seeing this made me remember and realize Lamarche played Calculon, Toucan Sam, Mr. Wilson, and Mr. Talbot this was great video for me to learn about him a little more. And Hey, Look who's got the 2nd spot here 1:27 not bad.
So are you ever going to do tributes for the Vancouver voice actors? Ian James Corlett, Scott McNeil, Garry Chalk, David Kaye, Kathleen Barr and Venus Terzo are among the many recognizable voice actors from that pool. In fact, Maurice LaMarche, Cree Summer, and Tara Strong were part of that pool before they moved to Hollywood.
Still waiting for Saturday Morning Rewind’s tribute to Dom DeLuise who had memorable voice roles such as Jeremy (The Secret of NIMH), Tiger (An American Tail), Pizza the Hutt (Spaceballs), Fagin (Oliver & Company) and Itchy Itchiford (All Dogs Go to Heaven). He will be missed. 😔
@Saturday Morning Rewind Please make the many voices of Jason Griffith Dan Green Eric Stuart Sean Schemmel Veronica Taylor Ted Lewis Mike Pollock and Carter Cathcart.
I’m a huge Futurama fan. His voice also sounds like Walt on that show. He probably did the episode with Orson Welles head. I wonder who else he voiced on Futurama?
I can’t believe you did NOT put Father (Codename: Kids Next Door), Hovis (Catscratch), Zix (Jimmy Neutron), Dr Nitrus Brio (Crash Bandicoot), Etno Polino (Space Goofs) and Perry and Gart (Robot and Monster). Do you like Father of the KND villains? Do you want to add them? Now do Jeff Glen Bennett, Debi Derryberry, John Michael Higgins, Christopher Lloyd, Al Yankovic, Alyson Stoner, Kimberly Brooks, Richard Horvitz, Kari Wahlgren, Sandy Fox, Lex Lang, Tom Kenny, Justin Roiland, etc.
Go watch The Critic. Maurice does so many voices in that series and, while dated, is still a charming and funny underrated series. I believe there's actually a yt channel that has the whole original series on it.
"Pinky, are you pondering what I'm pondering?"
"I think so Brain, but how could one actor have that wide of a range?"

That's a massive body of work!! So versatile
Didn't even pick up some of these were him, impressive
Do billy west
@@marcocastillo1087 don't reply to me with requests, I'm not the guy
His Steve Martin impression in the Jack Rabbit special is REALLY good!
Can you do the many voices of E.G Daily (including Julius Jr, Buttercup, Tommy Pickles and many more)?
If I'm at all envious of any talent, it's that of Maurice Lamarche and Billy West, two of the shining lights of Futurama.
That green fog line was fantastic! 🤣
He has some of the best vocal range of any actor!! :D
So much talent. Him and all the Animaniacs were fantastic.
A bit disappointed in his Yosemite Sam though. Yeah, not really that close, but the others were great.
He truly is great! But I can’t stand that he replaced Kevin Bacon as the voice of Balto
@Amtrak121 Yeah, most sequels suck anyway.
Danny Thomas all I can say is: if they ever make a 4th movie they better use the original voices and the original animation style
2👍🏾 & 5 ⭐️s ,To Maurice LaMarche who Took Over the Voice Acting 🌍.
So did Tress MacNeille and Rob Paulsen. Without these three, we’d have no hope.
Can you please upload a video called of the many voices of Andrea Libman for your next video?
Thank you!
Maurice Mandrill and Father are what is voiced by him, The only one missing was Royal Pin from Mlp-FIM
@Saturday Morning Rewind Do the many voices of Eric stuart.
My fav roles of Maurice LaMarche are Father from Codename: Kids Next Door and Mr. Big from Zootopia. He is very comedic. His son Jonathan played for the late Christina Grimmie's band, I forgot what he played tho.
Debi Derryberry had a birthday today! Could you do a video for her please?
14:25 He's voiced by Dan Castelleneta.
14:34 Erman's voiced by Harry Shearer.
Thank you for making a new one called many voices of Maurice Lamar he now how about another of many voices of Kelsey grammar 🇬🇧
I like when he voiced Helga's dad Bob, from Hey Arnold
I love it
Can you do the many voices of Gary Chalk the voice of Optimus Primal from Beast Wars Transformers.
Please do David Herman next. He’s my favorite voice actor. Sure, he’s mostly known for only King of the Hill and Futurama, but he’s a legend like Tress MacNeille.
@Saturday Morning Rewind Do the many voices of Jason Griffith.
He was also a voice actor of Gart and Perry
Think you can do Wayne Knight? The voice of Mr Blik, Jack'O Lantern, Emperor Zurg, and Al
Very cool stuff that he did all these voices
Hi sir, do you have a video about the many voices of Ms. Eleanor Audley?😁
I've just noticed most of the characters that Maurice LaMarche voices are manly him doing his Orson Wells impression
@@glowworm2 oh yes I know the one Rob Paulsen gave Basil the cat a British accent didn't he
Can you do a voiceover showcase of Sam Vincent?
(Sonic Underground/ Ed Edd & Eddy/ Lego Ninjago)
His Orson Welles is amazing. Whether doing it as Orson himself, or doing a slightly different version when voicing Brain on Pinky and the Brain.
A friend of mine met him once!
Do the many voices of Eric Stuart
His range insane. I seriously thought some of these were completely different people!
Maurice LaMarche also did the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man in "The Real Ghostbusters" episode "Sticky Business."

Me, being a huge Ghostbusters fan: LET'S GO!!!!!
Dude Maurice LeMarche is awesome and of course an inspiration
@Saturday Morning Rewind Could you do the many voices of Veronica Taylor
I met Maurice LaMarche at Dragon Con. He's very nice in person.
Hi #VoiceActor, in memoriam #saturdaymorningrewind 2020 (Remembering Actors in Voice-Over & Animation that we Lost in 2020)...
Please make the many voices of John DiMaggio,Jeff Bennet,Tom Kane,Mark Hamill,Hank Azaria,Billy West,JK Simmons and Weird Al Yankovic
@Saturday Morning Rewind Please make the many voices of Jason Griffith Dan Green Eric Stuart Sean Schemmel Veronica Taylor Ted Lewis Mike Pollock and Carter Cathcart.
Do you think you can do Tom Kenny on the next video? He is "funny wearing pants".
Dr. Egon Spengler in real life! Thanks mr. LaMarche, your storytelling has produced many smiles.
Can you upload more videos featuring deceased voice actors like Joe Polito and Fred Willard?
Do Eric Stuart
I’m a huge Futurama fan. His voice also sounds like Walt on that show. He probably did the episode with Orson Welles head. I wonder who else he voiced on Futurama?
@Saturday Morning Rewind Could you do a update of Jimm Cummings.
Jsck black
Will you do other voice actors from CINAR, Saban, 4KIDS, and MainFrame?
Go watch The Critic. Maurice does so many voices in that series and, while dated, is still a charming and funny underrated series. I believe there's actually a yt channel that has the whole original series on it.
@Saturday Morning Rewind Could you do the many voices of Sean Schemmel.
