Genuine question, is Martinelli not considered "lightening quick"?
Hoping the Sesko rumours are true...
Living in Germany right now and having watched him live and multiple times on live televised games, he is a very special talent. He looks like the prototype modern #9 (an Ibrahimovic or Van Basten type), but is also extremely tactically flexible and can go wide for long spells in games as well as come deep to collect the ball. He is also disciplined and relentless at pressing.
Rather than replacing Havertz, I could actually see Sesko combining well with Havertz and our other attackers, rotating positions during the game to keep defences confused on who to track.
Sesko can still improve his shooting accuracy, but he has all the attributes to improve our team now, plus growing into an even more special player in the coming years...
Let's hope this comes off and Arteta works his magic developing this guy.

I would keep Rice at 6. Move Odegaard to left 8. Have Havertz play right 8 and share time Smith Rowe, Viera, and Nwaneri. Then get a powerful forward up top. This would bring Martinelli back in the game and Havertz closer to his Leverkusen role. In possession 4-4-2

The Manchester City method is neoliberal capitalism running amok. So to hear football people (supporters et al) from all walks of life talking about the unfair nature of City’s conduct when we are talking about football but not the system that governs the entirety of our everyday lives for 40+ years is as sad as it is hypocritical (or utterly uninformed)🤷♂Rather the method they deplore with City that they vote for to govern all of the society they and their families live in🫤
The Super league, where club owners showed us what it’s all about was rightly rounded on by football supporters around the country is another example. The CL has changed to placate them for the time being but it won’t stop there.
If not City then some other club will challenge and win because wealth goes hand-in-hand with power.

I think Zinchenko is the perfect replacement for Xhaka on the left 8. He should stay and in some games provide cover for LB when needed.
