when putting in the new led, when you soldered the ends before snipping did you use soldering wire or the led legs them selves to make them stick to the board
Slot1Gamer k that what happened to when i was trying to my first mod but haven't made any real progress yet (replacing the power led on my gbc with a green one) i will carry on in the next 2-3 days i think it's because the solder is old put you can put new solder on top
I recommend anyone doing this Mod to change your battery at the same time!!!! Your battery will go bad eventually if it hasn't already. Saves you having to do this whole process over again!!!
@@robert_wolf6989 For games that go by the enteral Cock and date. Best example is the game Animal Crossings. If your battery is dead will not be able to play that game correctly. Their is a list you can look up for all other games that need correct date and time
I just replaced it (with a green one) and it works! :D

+John Hann No you'll need to use solder (get electronics solder not plumbing solder)
Tight, thanks man
John Hann you're welcome
I really like playing nfs on my gamecube, I am gonna try to paint it black, with red leds. this helped so much!
Can you put multiple leds on that one input?
Nick van Berkel Yes you can, but not too many. I'd keep it at 5 tops :D
Thanks for watching my video
I installed a 5v led on my gamecube, is this voltage too high?
Can you use some soldering wick instead to desolder the LED?
adamhouse9999 Yes you can, however solder wick can stick to the pads sometimes and be a pain. haha :) thanks for watching

adamhouse9999 yeah old solder is stubborn to remove sometimes, I think its because the flux breaks down too much over time or something
Slot1Gamer the gbc wasn't released that long ago it must of been released in 9997
Do i have to use resistors if iw ant to put 3 leds on that input?
Nick van Berkel nope :) If all you are doing is just connecting 3 LEDs to the original power LEDs points, no resistors are required. hope that helps.
Thanks
5MM LIGHTS ARE TOO BIG. i’ve tried them and my gamecube wouldn’t close. 3mm lights work great
how do you solder?
is there anyway I can use my 60w soldering iron?
Yes 60W is perfect wouldn't recommend anything Lower. I tried 30W and wasn't hot enough to do anything..Cheers

@@cheapskategamer8562 interesting is it a 3 volt battery?
@@robert_wolf6989 Yes 3 Volt CR 2032
