Thanks again for all these masterpieces.
Pleasant, feel-good movie. Russell Hopton appeared in many westerns, so it's a nice change of pace to see this affable guy in non-western gear. Thank you!
So underrated. Catch him in Night World and w Mae West in I'm No Angel. A great player of " louse" parts. Fatal auto accident, iirc.
Another good film, Pizza. Thanks.
This is a remarkably good film. Great plot. Excellent dialogue. It's like a giant puzzle, fragmented, but all the pieces fit together. Except one, Mulvaney becomes a boxer out of the blue. "Suspension of disbelief", is important for enjoyment, when watching a film, but the boxer bit was a little hard to suspend. Perhaps the establishing scene for him as boxer was cut out in the editing process. We'll never know. Sound not too good, nor is the print. But this movie is well constructed, thoroughly enjoyable.and should be restored. It is amazing how many good films were made in 1936.
Great movie and I love the ending!!!! Thank you, again, Pizza!!
Terry did a good job of finding and proving the truth of him and mary telling truth, bless their hearts and her love for terry was strong, honest and true, wonderful, totally enjoyed, thanks!!!!!!!!
☺️
I agree with many of you about the ending being abrupt. Left a lot of questions... what made the cops raid the club? Did they have a warrant? Where did they find the jewels? Whar proof did the cops have? Why would Terry work for a police department that had absolutely no faith in him when he was accused of murder? Nice film though. Thanks for uploading PizzaFlix!!!
Perfect "want to know" comment! Mr. Flix always uses his terrific sauce for only the best!!
These "B" movies always leave a lot of loose ends hanging. I reckon it's more about the journey than the destination.
Never seen this one ❤. Loved it ❤
Thanks Pizza Flix for another good movie !
They had style, etiquette and elegance in thosedays
Camelia And longer skirts. I still think women look better with their knees covered.
Very true therefor during lockdown and afterwards too I shall watch these movies just like our old Bollywood movies in B/W are better than today’s movies.
Awesome show! Rags to riches!
The cop boyfriend seemed a bit old for the much younger girl. I thought he was going to turn out to be her dad at first since she said she was meeting her boyfriend elsewhere. Otherwise another good flick. I would have expected her to have a younger guy but I guess in real life people date people of any age. The actress who played the mother was very good.
Very good Movie!
If these actors are nor Irish, they have the best brogue i have ever seen :)
Russell Hopkin is portraying a 26yr. old. He,s 36 or 37 and looks in his 40,s. I think he must of aged prematurely. He died at 45. Parker was only 24in this movie. Hopkin was a very good actor and even directed some. To bad he died so young😊
RH died of a sleeping pill overdose at 45. His wife died 2 months later at 42. Sad all the way around. RIP
Excellent ☺
Gotta like this one. Two thumbs up.
☺️
Thanks!
@DuchessBirdie THANK-YOU
good movie. ...but crazy....so many twist.
Were a large number of US police officers Irish in the 30's? Ive noticed a large number in these old films
Yes

Thats brilliant and lovely. Pizzaflix love you.
@PizzaFlix thank you for another delightful movie. I really enjoyed it. It seemed to me that Marilyn Monroe copied some of Cecilia Parker's facial expressions from this movie.

HUH HUH UH...You said "Facial"...UH HEH HEH...HUH...
@@scarygary-qq1pj Hi. Yes, I said 'facial'. That's the correct word to express what I meant. What exactly were you trying to say with your comment? Let me know please.
That cop sure do look like Buddy Ebsen
An abrupt ending, but enjoyed the movie.(ls)
Excellent Movie, just too short....Better if Terry got a chance to smash the jaw of the rascal who framed him more than once!
Some Film!
Back when police were allowed to be police and do their job.
☺️
A good drag👏👏👏👏👍👍
it takes a great script to make a great movie, and this is most excellent. thanks Pizzaflix may the sauce be with you 🎥🍕🍕

I just finished watching railroaded another good movie if you like this one ..
Tough times for some stars...
Russell Hopton died at only 45 years-old - in Feb. '45 - due to an overdose of sleeping pills. His wife died 2 months later at the age of 42.
Rest in paradise, Russell and Marjorie ✨️
Couldn't they find a better looking actor than Buddy Ebsens look a like. Those eye brows needed mowing and the actor looked about 50.I love the old movies, always have but this was a shocker.
I assume everyone else can hear pizza flicks moviebelow the deadline but I sure can't I need to install another speakerand I wanted to watch it it looks like an excellent film to watch
IMDb has a couple of interesting trivia bits re: this film.
When she says "He had no right to make love to me"? When did that happen? I must've missed something.
philthy cat 1....You beat me to it...when I heard her say that, I had the same thought...HUH...??? I guess that "making love" meant something different back then...??
@@marbleman52 "Making love" in that era is what you saw in that seen, mainly hugging and kissing. Even though these are western stories-read Zane Grey. There are many examples of someone saying "making love" and it had nothing to do with what we today know it as. Everyone involved stayed fully clothed.
I'm not sure if it was still the case in the 1920's, but I know during the regency period 'making love' to someone was making declarations of love. Hence the infamous 'making violent love to her' in the carriage in Jane Austen's 'Emma'. XD
@@--enyo-- cheers..times definitely have changed .
I love black and white movies. Back when movies were good! No cussing and no blood and guts.
☺️
No audio on right channel with headphones. I thought something was wrong with my tablet or headphones. Also mentioned in comment by DAVID ALAN JONES RIDGE
2 years ago.
Can’t beat having a young girlfriend. The old cop aka boyfriend must have a hidden secret ! Jolly O for the cop !
A train wreck, just like the Fugitive :)
Old movies are great because of the street scenery, clothing, style of speaking. etc. Notice they all smoked. Guess that's why they are all dead today.
No... they're all dead because they'd be a century or better old by now.
Smoking doesn't automatically cause death
I knew this movie was going to be good when I saw that it was approved with certificate #2270.🙄
@44:43 a weak story-line completely falls apart. It's unreasonable for the ins/dick to suspect our hero, let alone capture fingerprints.
If Terry Mulvaney was 26 yrs old i'm a astronaut ...He looks like he was in his 60's , lol!!
AN astronaut.
@@scarygary-qq1pj
Sigh. Karens gonna Karen.
At the time of filming, the male lead was 14 years older than the female lead. Frankly, he looks even older without his policeman's hat.
He's not old, nor looks old.
My wife of 7 years is 19 years my junior.👩❤️💋👨👫
audio isn't working!
Try earbuds! Heard everything. 👍
So, Ackroyd tries to win Molly over by insulting the memory of her dead boyfriend. And Pearson decides to work with a man wanted for murder, which makes him guilty of aiding and abetting a fugitive. And Terry and Molly talk about his real identity in a cab where the driver can overhear. These people are all stupid.
Sound response is left channel only!
what's a poor 'fluff' to do?
This doesn't give police very good review.
Why did the producers pair the lovely Cecilia Parker with that old guy?
He is the producer's brother
@@robertwalker5521 That explains a lot.
Hollywood surely did want to increase smokin among Americans.
Well, it WAS a Chesterfield production.🚬🔥

Seems poorly edited to me; a lot of jerkiness in the scenes, but maybe just poor treatment in the film booths when showing in the theaters. The movie could have been a contract filler or an endeavor where the actor(s) invested in what was hoped to be a quick cash-cow. Nonetheless the comments show some enjoyed it. I personally thought it a poor example of a B movie.
