Bach on synth (when it is played well...) is perfect. Wendy taught us on 1968. Polyphonic structure stays intact, on piano dynamic can alter voice priority and this is so important...
I love this, especially the fat Moog sound, and how the different colors allow us to appreciate each melodic line with greater clarity. Bach's fugues and synths are a match made in heaven.
@@bcj842 The synthesizer is not a descendant of any instrument. The only thing that connects to a synthesizer with an organ is simply its keyboard-based controller.
@@Ader1 I cannot argue in favor of that comment I made 4 months ago since it's simply incorrect. I suppose it's more accurate to say that the TECHNIQUE involved in playing a keyed synthesizer is a RELATIVE of organ technique with added extras like envelopes and so forth. But the fundamental technique of using a synthesizer as shown here is markedly similar to playing an organ. You press the keys to send energy through the noisemaking elements and release the keys to close the gate. Then you adjust stops/drawbars/pots/switches to alter the sonic properties as you play. This, combined with the tones you generally get from synthesizers, causes the two instruments and the player to fall into the kind of synergy you see in the video. So no, it's not a descendant, nor is it quite a cousin, but more of an echo that an organist could fairly intuitively adapt his skillset to.
Mauri 1960 dj 🇮🇹❤️
Every few days I return to listen to you wonderful performance. Bach sounds just perfect on synthesizers, as Carlos already proved decades ago! Thanks and God bless!
Absolutely great interpretation! And awesome the fat sounds that come out of those legendary analog machines. J.S. Bach and Wendy Carlos would be proud. Switched on Giombini!
Revisiting - not only the technique but the timbre of sounds within these instruments. I would like to give another thumbs up but RUclips does not allow more than one :(
Now there you go, awesome my friend. I got so sick of people turning on beat boxes and playing with various synth sounds for 30-45 minutes and calling it music. You sir are ACTUALLY playing. What a concept!. It was beautiful, you chose very appropriate sounds too.
I love electronic Bach, when done well, because the complexity of the interweaving voices is easier for me to follow (if that makes sense). This is very well done; thanks for posting.
Caro Pierluigi!!! Sir, my respect of you got way up when I got to know you are a Bach fan. Now I understand why your famous compositions and music are so good! Your taste and feelings from Bach spirit of music indeed deserved such good music of yours! And this rendition... is just superb, I loved it! Congratulations, Sir! Obrigado... (from Brasil).
I absolutely love that the composer of some of my favourite pop songs is also a Bach aficionado! It's amazing how well his music plays on these analogue gems, and you nailed it!
Your choice of different timbres highlight the varied figurations beautifully, inspiring! I feel that an good strategy is to establish a direct correspondence between the motivic structure of a piece (inversions, diminutions, changes in mode etc) and the shifts in timbre
Bellissimo! Do you have any other creations based on Bach? He's my favourite composer of all time and his music is extremly suitable for synth and other electronic renditions I must say.
That's exactly my opinion, too! I'm an organist, playing several keyboards and improvising in the style of Bach. For me it's the best music ever, directly coming from Heaven.

The Synthesizer is a descendant of the Organ so his work is practically crafted with them in mind!

I mean, the organ is esentially 1500s synth

The song is BWV 784 - Invention No. 13 in A minor
I had to scroll down way too far to find this. Give it likes, people!
sounds like heaven.
thank you very much
This fills my heart with joy, including the way the musician gestures at Bach's portrait at the end of the piece! Thank you!
My favourite composer playing a piece by my second favourite composer. It doesn't get any better than this!

I already fell in love with the real electronic genre!
Deze realisatie is gewoon… _geweldig!_

The Roland patch is the ideal sound for Bach pieces.
Te lo ricordi Sangiuliano col suo raro album Take-off? Anche lui si ispirava al grande Bach ❤️
Bach is Pierluigi !!!!!
b.e.a.utiful
I think of the Commodore ads every time I hear this piece as that was the first time I had heard it.

Are You related to the great Marcello Giombini? I Like his music very much.
