Thanks for the review. Just one thought regarding arm issues with racquets; Any sign of tenderness is really a precursor to more serious problems to come if not dealt with immediately. They're warning signs. Best to heed.
I've played 4 hours now with the Pure Strike VS. First two hours with MSV Focus Hex 1.23 Red and yesterday two hours with Luxilon Vibe 1.25, both around 23kg. First things first, this frame design is excellent for one-handed backhands. I haven't been able to dial-in with the slices yet, but that's on me - with some other rackets slices seem very easy like Pro Kennex Q+ Tour Pro, Angell TC95 V3 16*19 and Diadem Nova FS100. On the forehand side, one has to use very fast rackethead speed to get depth. It's not as underpowered as the Tecnifibre TF40 315 16*19, but it's less powerful than the Diadem Elevate V2 FS98. The Pure Strike VS with its tight 16*20 string pattern is great for flat hitting from the baseline. From the midcourt it's very whippy, but got better topspin from the Focus Hex than the Vibe. On the serves, the 2nd/slice serves are super easy to hit. Flat need very fast rackethead speed, as do the flat forehands. First impressions are very encouraging for me to keep it as my main stick. Some say it needs some added weight at 3 and 9, but that's too personal to judge, especially after only 4 hours.
I have seen your level on a video playing this racket which you have uploaded yourself on a different forum. With all respect... I dont think you have the level to use this racket to be honest Konstantino and therefore I dont know why you write like you have lvl 4-5 skills testing a lvl 4-5 racket. Your skill level is 2-3......also 23 kg is too high tension to a 63 RA 97" control frame with 16 x 20...23 kg in this frame with a fairly stiff Focus Hex String means you will lack power and lose comfort..... 21 kg/47.5 LBS is more than enough. The 16 x 20 97" makes it good for both flat hitting and spin but depends and the swing you apply. Spin has very little to do with shape of strings but 90% with technique. Shaped strings mainly alters the lift/launch angle. The mains/horizantals in the PS VS are in sweetspot more widely spaced than the 16 x 19 Pure Strike 3. gen and thus potientially can give more power and spin. but not if tension is too high. And remember that slice also needs the correct swing and aproach to the ball. and can be performed well even with a 90 " wooden racket. Remember McEnroe's deep low slices.
This racket is heavier ( unstrung) than the previous model. Infact it reminds me the babolat pure control that had less weight unstrung (295 g.) instead. Is this racket too much heavy for playing?
I have a pure control 295g & I had to weigh my racquet up to improve stability, so the stock 305g actually makes sense. Notably the low swing-weight in the VS also leaves a decent bit of room for customisation without making the racquet unplayable. It’s clear that Babolat have done their homework prior to releasing this frame & I hope I get my hands on one soon
It's the leather grip that brings the weight up to 310 unstrung. With normal syntetic grip, we are down to 305 gram. this is quite normal for rackets marketed for lvl 4 players and above. If you are not that level dont consider this racket.
Hello quick question:) how would you compare the uonex vcore pro 310 (the green one) to this stick? Because I will be testing it saturday and I play with the yonex for 6 uears now:) I am an expro junior:)
Hi, good shout. They do compare - they both have the same limitations though. Great timing, my review of the Yonex Percept 310 97 will be out in the next 24 hours and it will contain tips as to how to make it better
@@tenniseuphoria5012 :) I play with the vcore pro 310 green, and need a change for little more power but little not much:) tried the ezone 305… omg it is really a power house. Will trie the VS on saturday with mu luxilon alu power 24/23 kg like my yonex.
more spin and easier through the air with the PS VS. a little more versatile. Prestige Pro is heavier and is more of a classic control frame where plowthrough via weight and the flat shot are the agenda.
The best of the 3 was the r p m power strung racket which came in at 315.5 s w strung and with overgrip and dampener. Would play even better between 320 and 330 s w for sure. Stable and solid even at that swing weight though. 👍
Its string and tension sensitive. like all thin beamed control rackets are. stiff polyester no more than 47,5 LBS/21 kg. multis you can string 23-24 kg.
Super exciting frame by babolat...this and aero VS are the way to go for years to come

Nice! Wondering if there’s anything you disliked? And if you’ll switch to it..?

How would you compare the Pure Strike VS to the new Head Prestige Auxetic Pro?
more spin and easier through the air with the PS VS. a little more versatile.
Prestige Pro is heavier and is more of a classic control frame where plowthrough via weight and the flat shot are the agenda.
Also, seems like quite a low SW to play effectively?
