Well, it could be. But in a snow globe the characters would somehow be fixed to the bottom, right? The water only spreads the glitter around and you can still see the characters when you shake it because they're not all over the place.
I hope everyone who has Jackies kit is really enjoying it I'm really interested to see what everyone has made with them. I can't get one due to financial reasons but maybe one day if Jackie releases them in the future.
I've always been confused why these types of kits are considered crafts because, let's be real, this is just a toy with extra steps. So I've finally decided they should be called "interactive toys" or "DIY toys".
I would say it was overpriced but it’s not deceptive. It doesn’t say jelly anywhere on it. And obviously on the box they have the characters in the middle “suspended” because it would be super lame if they showed how it looks when it’s just sitting there, with the characters just sitting on the bottom
@@Cutieexorcist It's not just the stickers. You can see that its also the characters inside the jar looking 'suspended' with the stickers on the outside. The packaging looks nothing like how the final product turned out, jelly or not.
If they show it doing something it doesn’t do because it looks better, that is deceptive. The figures can’t be suspended the way they show them in water alone.
The images they used would have very clearly been the best images they could get of the product "in use", meaning at it's best most active state, and to be fair to get those specific pictures they very clearly used far less glitter and shimmer in the water so that you could see more clearly. At the same time, you can see on the pictures that the water definitely has bubbles from when it's shaken and isn't just flat at the top like it would have been if it had been sitting still for 20 minutes to harden. On the box it even says "shake to light up" which, while being subtle, would mean that you'd WANT to have something actually worth shaking, so why would you make it jelly inside and suspended with no chance of moving? If it was just a cute stationary jelly lamp, why not just have a button or a switch to press on the outside? Without being shown the back or sides of the box, you can't really get much more information than that. I do, however, agree that it would be deceptive when Jackie points out that it is literally just the same characters and design and such as the other kit, so anyone just looking for that particular style of box and not actually paying attention would 100% grab this one and waste $40 with just making colored water with glitter in it to shake around, so I can also agree that it is a bit deceptive in the way it's packaged to look similar enough to cause confusion, but they never on the box claimed it to be jelly which is probably their way of getting around any potential legal action of "this was false advertising" to be able to say "where was it falsely advertised? We never said that specific product was jelly. you should have read the packaging more carefully."

Jackie I love you and your videos…..I just have to play Devils advocate here and say that this kit says nothing about it being jelly. Says nothing about it being suspended in the middle. The magic is the powder changing the color of the water. I agree that it’s not worth the money and that it’s a piece of junk.
@@Ughahaven Gel is simply the state between a solid and a liquid. Which tbh is hard to quantify imo lol Also most words on any item being sold don't mean anything. Only certain words are regulated and as long as they're being vague, not much you can do.
If you're familiar with jelli world and their characters and see this kit in the store, I wouldve assumed it was gel too. And $40 for jars and glitter and erasers is absolute robbery. If it had the gel affect it would've justified the price alittle more.
That was my first thought too. If I saw this kit in the store I wouldn't have assumed the characters were going to be suspended in jelly. Jackie's being a bit over critical because she made some assumptions about this kit without really looking at what she was buying, like that person that leaves a 1 star review on an item that they never read the description for lol. Still, even without deceiving packaging $40 is 4x what this kit should be sold for. An absolute joke.
Pretty sure at the time it was going viral on toy world in tik tok n stuff and wasn’t easy to find in Canada cuz of that so I’m sure places over charged.
Distilled water being only sold in 4 liters/1 gallon jugs is because it's not something you're supposed to drink. Its mostly used for filling up CPAP machines or humidifiers.
The only concern I have with your DIY version is that alcohol can destroy plastic if it's not the right type of plastic, and hand sanitizer is usually alcohol-based. Be careful with where you store it! I'd be interested in what it looks like a year from now. ;)

I think its nice that you find ways to make these kits with dollar store items. Its an excellent way for parents to save money and in addition you can use the hand sanitizer when the kid gets bored.
I have to say, your version would be a really cute way to entice kids to use hand sani! Just use the actual container with the pump and add that stuff!
So I still love you but, this is a good lesson that you should read the whole box and look at the video before you buy. On the up side, would you like for me to rip off the main idea and make you a jelly candle? Even on this kind of video, you inspire me.
They know customers are not going to look that up before they buy it especially if they are at the store. A kid would see it recognize the characters and assume they know what it is and ask for it. If they see the video and then buy it you get what you get but from the pictures and considering the brand customers think they know what it is.
I love love LOVE that nerdecrafter dose not talk allllllll about herself like all the other RUclipsrs she thinks of others to like how she said “This would be perfect for moriah Elizabeth “

I feel the same. I also want to see something in between the two. Maybe a mix of distilled water and hand sanitizer or just mineral oil so that it isn't so solid.
I think that is is really considerate of Jackie to warn people with light sensitivity. Even though I am not sensitive to light changes or flashing lights I hate it when people make videos with no warning because I would hate for someone to have a seizure or something because someone didn’t put in a warning.
Ok I would have go half and half with the gel so the contents would move but not sink so fast. But yeah, with cheaper stuff you can custom it to whatever consistency you'd like.
I think the "magic powder" might be something to sterilize the water to prevent mold from growing. I had something similar in a stress ball kit where you dissolved the powder in water and added orbeez. Then you put it in a balloon. But that's my guess 🤷🏻♀️
Cant wait to get my box! I'm catching up on jazzas stream as i got to 4am and fell asleep, your suggestion for his "Dive" was amazing. Keep up the amazing content Jackie 😄👍
The “magic powder” is probably just a fancy way of saying “water colorant”. Cause it doesn’t say jelly anywhere on the box...does it? And if it was jelly, the glitter wouldn’t be twirling in it.
THey just give you a really bad snow globe. For 40 dollars. You are right Jackie you are better off go to the dollar store or dollar tree to get what you need. It's cheaper. When I was small my grandma would take to the dollar store, and we get all the stuff to make home-made snow globes. That the must fun I had with her. I still remember that craft now 20 years later. Watching your videos reminded me of her and all the fun we had to gather. Thank you for all thd great stuff you do. You make smile when I am down.Thank you. Many blessings to you and family .
@NerdECrafter Here that kit was sold as a "lavalamp" typ kit (on a 50% sale) - and for that it worked - my sisters kids - then 7 and 8, liked doing the kit, even if I suspect they got bored very soon after it was done. I mean you couldnt do much more with it than shake it to make the light go on. I kept mine on the shelf until the battery went out. Then true to the school of NerdECrafter, I poured it out through a coffee filter so no glitter would get out in the enviorment. The water inside was a bit slimey so that I 'picked' up by soaking toiletpaper in the water so I could throw it away that way instead of flushing it down the drain.
This isn't the same company as the one who does Jelli Worldz and I'm surprised you didn't notice that. So Glow is by Canal toys and Jelli Worldz is by Orb toys. As far as I can tell, they don't share a parent company either.
Either way, would you pay 40 dollars for things you likely have hanging around your house? The total price of all that is less than 5 dollars and could have been sold for 10 or 15 and still made good profit. 40 is a scam when Mason jars are nicer quality and still only like 2 -4 dollars per jar. And gilter? A dollar. Food dye (which would give the same effect) is 3 dollars MAX. Not hard to find little characters for really cheap. Not worth 40 dollars
Just a small heads up on the gel sanitizer: If it gets hot it will liquify and never go back to a gel state. I mean, not a big deal, but it does happen.
Oh my gurddd. Yours was way cuter and more effective since you can actually use the hand sanitizer. I wouldn't pay 40 dollars for a craft that me and my grandma do from things we find around the house.
they actually have mason jars with tea lights on the inside of the lid, ive used it to to make a snow globe with my little ponies at the bottom. Btw id recommend pouring out some of the water an adding clear glue in it to make it more snow globish.
Ellie and Clare, thanks for getting your shot! xxXHikariXxx don’t be scared. The only side effect I had with the second shot was a bad headache and a sore arm. Just be sure to stay hydrated (I drank a lot of Gatorade before and after the shot). Good luck!
I'm scared to get my second cause I couldn't breathe and move from the first one and the second one is WORSE than the first. 😬. Anyways. Hope you feeling better soon
Oooo! So! I actually know how to make it "floaty" with cheap products! We called it a "mindful jar" because you can use it to take you're mind off of things thats upsetting/frustrating. You will need: Glitter glue Confetti Warm water A jar with lid Extra glitter Take warm water and fill 3/4 of the way, add glitter, confetti/whatever else you want to float, then start adding the glitter glue gradually, STIR not shake lol until it reaches the consistency you desire! Once it's at that stage its time to shake!!
Oh wow, I bought some lights years ago that fit mason jars. Just came across them. I have some aloe Vera gel moisturizer. Everyone has little trinkets laying around that they don't know what to do with. now I know what I'm going to do
I made it here early. Lol I feel like we just hung out from watching Jazza’s live stream 😅 I’m so happy for the success of your kit, and can’t wait to make my white and gold lady big figure I’ve had in my head.
@@aprilbarber5427 yes! It was great getting more idea for when the kits arrive. I felt emotional thinking about how good that had to make her feel seeing him do such amazing things with her kit. Lol Idk if emotional is the right word but I was just so happy.
while the kit itself doesnt say it jellies, using the same characters, same set up and very similar marketing and brand on the toys, on TOP of the commercial showcasing a machine and clearly having the characters stay still in moving water (which they dont, literally theres no phyisical way that can happen) this kit manages to be trash, disappointing, waste of water, time and on top of all that just a scam
'This is a completely different product'... exactly, it is. I'm sorry, this video and title just made me a little angry to be honest. I do enjoy watching your videos, but I can't help feeling that this is a complete misunderstanding. You went into this kit with preconceptions of it being "the same" as the jelly kits, but as other people have stated, it doesn't mention jelly anywhere. They didn't mislead you and I just get so fed up with people using the word 'scammed' in their titles because it creates more drama and gets more views. It's not a scam, you just assumed it was something it isn't. And just another thing, I am really glad you managed to get your own craft kit out to the public, but I feel it misses the point. Craft kits are designed for children (if we're being honest here) and for parents to buy. I agree that many of them are a rip off, but they come in a range of prices so that parents can afford them. It's amazing to have a craft kit with the quality you have given, but the price point is just so high. You can't compare yours to what these companies produce because most parents can't afford $100+ for a craft kit which is why they buy whichever one is in their budget. If your kit isn't supposed to be compared to them then clearly my comment is unnecessary, but I feel like it is presented in such a way. Before anyone wants to start hating on me, I don't dislike the craft kit or this video or even Jackie for that matter, I just feel that certain things are misrepresented. Also, I love the 'not another crap kit' and if I could afford to buy it, I would. But this is my point, it's not comparable to normal kits if most people cannot afford it.
But it never told you anywhere it is going to be a jelly... You assumed because you tried similar product earlier. In addition there was some advertisement on line that showed the product how it is, so it was easy to check and research. I don't understand why you are bashing them. They are not a scam. I am OK for it to be way over priced, but to say they are a scam is simply not true.

Jackie I love you and your videos…..I just have to play Devils advocate here and say that this kit says nothing about it being jelly. Says nothing about it being suspended in the middle. The magic is the powder changing the color of the water. I agree that it’s not worth the money and that it’s a piece of junk.
I believe that the package says "Gel" right on it.
@@Ughahaven Where? I can't see it anywhere on the box
Don't know where you got that kit, but it's $9.99 at Walmart in the USA. You got ripped off. 😐
eek 😬
That’s why I’m not in Canada bc the us have cheap prices usd and Canadian prices are different
Pretty sure at the time it was going viral on toy world in tik tok n stuff and wasn’t easy to find in Canada cuz of that so I’m sure places over charged.
😮
Yeah that true
You cheer me up when im sad..thank you❤
Distilled water being only sold in 4 liters/1 gallon jugs is because it's not something you're supposed to drink. Its mostly used for filling up CPAP machines or humidifiers.
And for soap making 😅
I had to use it after a nasal surgery (NOT... F U N) 😶😖
And fountain pens!
The only concern I have with your DIY version is that alcohol can destroy plastic if it's not the right type of plastic, and hand sanitizer is usually alcohol-based. Be careful with where you store it! I'd be interested in what it looks like a year from now. ;)
I love how Jackie and Moriah are like besties. 2 of my fav youtubers are friends :)
I wouldn’t say besties, online social acquaintances would be a better term.
@@SH-sq6pz We as fans just like to think another way around because the thought of our two favourite RUclipsrs being friends pleases us. But I get your point, we shouldn't be obsessed and delusional!
It is deceptive because it shows things “suspended” at different levels, water doesn’t suspend the figures they included, they float or sink.
Now I know why Sika is not in this video it’s because she would probably eat the jelly Oop
That and there ain't enough ducky quacks in the world to cover up her response to a kit this crappy! 🤣
Because she works and probably does not have time.
@@Littlewings1211 yup XD
nah guess she would go even more enrage compared to Jackie ;)
I tried it your version and it actually turned out so good thank you nerdecrafter I went to my local Dollarama and then I bought all the supplies and that's one of my family's favorite craft's to do
So I was watching a documentary on Netflix, then I got a notification that one of my favorite youtubers posted something. Paused my documentary and here I am! Love you Jackie! Hope you are feeling better and are doing well.
Samesies... goodbye Netflix, hello Jackie! Lol
What documentary? I love them and watch them all the time too.
Same but for me I was watching anime lol
Yay! I am not the only person who enjoys watching documentaries for the heck of it!... I love documentaries.
@@superchick221b5 me too! Love watching documentaries.
I had that same thought too about the gel magic light jars being total garbage, talk about thinking alike Jackie 😻😻😻
Jackie*spills stuff on felt*

I really enjoyed watching Jazza's LIVE. I want to see more people using the kit. I have so many plans!
I wish I could afford one of ur kits❤️🔥
Same but im broke so-
Me tooo
I top that. 😭😭 wish she would be able to sell the mould separate. 😭😭
Same. Im going back to work this year and won't have money until its not being sold anymore. Its a fair price I just dont have money right now.
I'm on a fixed income but I was able to afford it because they offer the option of paying in four payments of $37.50 every two weeks. It's a nice option to offer. 😊
hey Jackie, that is a nice review! Please keep this kind of format going on to share your creativity ideas - if the kit allows and if not, showing as well how to achieve the desired results ;) thanks a lot, enjoyed this one very much!
You are a champ, just out of surgery and staying up till 2am MODDING Jazza's stream! You are so salty sweet!
the first kit you did i actually had 1 of those wit one jar and i loved it so mutch
Oh Jackie!! As a fellow member of the “bad back tribe” when I tell you I died inside watching you lift that big water jug! 🥺
Pace yourself, girl!
I use hand sanitizer to preserve bugs and it works great. I've still got the first bumble bee I ever done about 7 years ago and the lil guy is still in perfect condition!
Um…I like the liquid-y snow globe style better than the jelly.
*ducks head and runs away*
I feel the same. I also want to see something in between the two. Maybe a mix of distilled water and hand sanitizer or just mineral oil so that it isn't so solid.
Same
I think that is is really considerate of Jackie to warn people with light sensitivity.
Jackie: Go get hydrated!
Me: *almost chokes on flavored water because I slurped too aggressively. 😂😂
What the shrimp should be put on a shirt
Also "F" for that felt 🥺

I think the "magic powder" might be something to sterilize the water to prevent mold from growing. I had something similar in a stress ball kit where you dissolved the powder in water and added orbeez. Then you put it in a balloon. But that's my guess 🤷🏻♀️
I like this topic, “second chances“. I also still love “cash or trash”.
You know that Jackie is a good friend when she mentions Moriah in almost all her videos!
@NerdECrafter
Here that kit was sold as a "lavalamp" typ kit (on a 50% sale) - and for that it worked - my sisters kids - then 7 and 8, liked doing the kit, even if I suspect they got bored very soon after it was done.
Thanks!!! I called her out on 2 other aspects that she was wrong about.
Would have to agree with you on this product!!! Love the hand sanitizer method.
I think they look suspended bc they wanted you to see the characters so it might not be that much of a scam
@@gimygaming8655 nah I wouldn’t
Sorry I worded wrong I just meant the thicc water part/floating or stationary thing
@@jadeblade7488 oh. I see what you mean. Sorry for the misunderstanding
You can also do this with hair gel. A small amount mixed with water will allow it to thicken and do the exact same thing with hand sanitiser
Jackie: hydrate your self you haven't drank enough today.
Me coming home from marching band: I probably almost drank a gallon of water today.
I did the mini one time I was gone off shrooms. It was great. 10/10 recommend while high.
Jackie :you can do this a lot cheaper than 40 dollars by buying the materials at the dollar store
Europeans: 👁👄👁
Translation for UK grains: "Pound shop". 😂😂
Just a small heads up on the gel sanitizer:
If it gets hot it will liquify and never go back to a gel state.
I mean, not a big deal, but it does happen.
Clear orbeez would probably work for this kind of project. But that's be too logical for the company 😆.
Btw, hope you're feeling better Jackie!
Love the “gel”. Great idea. Thanks for wasting your money, so we don’t waste ours. Love your reviews Jackie.
Her videos make my day💓💃
Its like...when ever I'm sad I watch her vids..they never fail at making me laugh💓
I wonder if the magic powder is meant to keep the water from evaporating? I mean, the jar is completely sealed, but maybe it will still evaporate?
Oh my gurddd. Yours was way cuter and more effective since you can actually use the hand sanitizer. I wouldn't pay 40 dollars for a craft that me and my grandma do from things we find around the house.
I really liked seeing the dollar store version. That's something I wanna see on all the kits, would be cool.
having a very tough day, woke with no spoons, but having a new salt filled video to watch has made it so much better.
who got your spoons, Becky? 🥄🥄🥄
I actually got this kit for Christmas and I love it. It is so cute and I love swirling the glitter.
You are so creative Jackie! Love from Canada!
they actually have mason jars with tea lights on the inside of the lid, ive used it to to make a snow globe with my little ponies at the bottom. Btw id recommend pouring out some of the water an adding clear glue in it to make it more snow globish.
"What's magic about it?". Your money disappearing from your wallet 😂
😭🥲
Omg i love these I always wanted one since I was 9 and I’m 16 now
Just got my 2nd COVID shot and feeling horrible and this made my day
no! don't say that i will get my 2nd one tomoro and i am terrifide.
@@Alepoudiitsa Best wishes for tomorrow!
Oooo! So! I actually know how to make it "floaty" with cheap products! We called it a "mindful jar" because you can use it to take you're mind off of things thats upsetting/frustrating. You will need:
Glitter glue
Confetti
Warm water
A jar with lid
Extra glitter
Take warm water and fill 3/4 of the way, add glitter, confetti/whatever else you want to float, then start adding the glitter glue gradually, STIR not shake lol until it reaches the consistency you desire! Once it's at that stage its time to shake!!
Ooooooo second chances yasss it going to be awesome
Now let the awesomeness begin 😄
Sending good vibes and healing energy ⚡
Yours is way better. The kit one is like a snow globe. I love yours. I would add some glitter.
Do you have a felt stash somewhere in your house? Cause the amount of RIP felts throughout your videos are hysterical! 😂😂😂 Poor little felts.
I watched Jazza's stream too! Loved that Jackie was there also
@@aprilbarber5427 yes! It was great getting more idea for when the kits arrive. I felt emotional thinking about how good that had to make her feel seeing him do such amazing things with her kit. Lol Idk if emotional is the right word but I was just so happy.
Ohhh!! I would be LIVID!! but I did love your shaky dance after you mixed all the stuff in 😂🤣
while the kit itself doesnt say it jellies, using the same characters, same set up and very similar marketing and brand on the toys, on TOP of the commercial showcasing a machine and clearly having the characters stay still in moving water (which they dont, literally theres no phyisical way that can happen) this kit manages to be trash, disappointing, waste of water, time and on top of all that just a scam
Jackie I think the things that look like they are suspended are the stickers that came with the kit stuck on the outside of the jars.
I cant wait to get my lcraft kit in the mail!!
awesome! Have fun!
This makes me think of something I got as a kid that wasn't working, it was also suppose to be put some toys in suspense. Like the sanitizer hack. 👍
^^
You should do a tour of your craft room/space. I’m really curious. Plus I wanna see all the glitter!
