I didn’t know who Maya was prior to this series but love her now, Netflix played her Plus One movie and she was excellent in that. Her and Donald are the perfect comedic actors for this show, they are really good at going from goofy couple to badass spy’s, perfect mix. Can’t wait until season two, Prime would be idiots not to have a season two. The magic between them is ratings gold and big dollars
It makes me sad that people refuse to watch this show because theyve preemptively decided its a "Shoving minorities down our throats"/race swap situation and nothing else One of the best romances I've seen in ANYTHING
I heard these complaints and also that they aren't as "hot" as their movie counterparts. The show gives a nod to this in the opening scene of the first episode with another Mr. & Mrs. Smith on the run who more closely match the Brangelina aesthetic. The fact that Glover and Erskine are "average-looking" subverts audience expectations. So do the action scenes. They're not smooth and ballet-esque like so many unbelievable spy shoot-'em-ups. They look awkward at times. You can see them sweat. This is a show about a couple's progression "masquerading" as a spy thriller series. They didn't just copy the film, they expanded on the universe. I like that.
@@alephmale3171 absolutely not. The show could stay exactly the same way and I don't believe she has the sexual chemistry or the ability to pull that off I don't think she has the physical capability to pull up the action scenes to make them believable she literally fought a man who had to weigh at least 60 or 80 lb more and manhandled him which is a complete joke especially if that man has any fighting skills we all watch UFC fighting it's a joke she does not come across as a believable sexy femme fatale at all As I watched the entire series I literally could imagine dozens of other actresses doing the exact same role in the exact same situations and it would have worked way better I mean watch the show did you feel sexual chemistry between the two of them because I didn't
@nchristopher9657 Yeah, you're assuming she's supposed to have a specific type of sexual appeal that you're looking for, and for her to be physically incompetent in relation to a less talented or trained man. Maybe part of the point of the show is that they have a realistic complicated awkwardness, and that the warmth is not primarily of a sexual sort? There are couples who are primarily adventurous, intellectual, spiritual, emotional, creative, parental, or professional, and only secondarily, or tertiarily sexual. Either way, this was a more realistic portrayal of this strange situation than the original, where they could be mistaken for normal lovers, who nevertheless are actually cold blooded murderers for hire, with precious little preventing them from killing each other. Only weird, probably smart and adventurous, but outcast and damaged people would ever actually wind up a Smith in this situation. And the point is a unique character study that teases out a different, relatable, source of warmth in living, working, and fighting together.
Maya Erskine is excellent in this. I hope they make another season.
Yeah... not with 3 bullets fired at the end. LOL
@lHurtYourFeeIings other Jane shot twice and our Jane shot once
That series was more than AMAZING

wait this is actually a thing? What the f--- lol
Everyone needs to watch her in Pen15. She's hilarious. She's the only reason I watched Mr & Mrs Smith.
MAYA ERSKINE EMMY CAMPAIGN STARTS NOW
She had the best lines 😂
Maya Erskine was a revelation. I loved her portrayal of Jane.
This is such a great show. Maya as Jane just plays off Donald so well, but steals the show in her own right. I hope they return.
I just rewatched the entire series. Their chemistry was off the charts. She was amazing in this role and, in my opinion, is worthy of the Emmy win.
She is really great in Blue Eye Samurai
The part with the vacation friends and the 🔫 💀 💀 💀
That mirror scene where she made a funny face and noise gesture caught me completely off guard 🤣🤣 it was perfect hilarious
She was soo good
Had a sad ending please Amazon next time don't leave us in suspense like this😢
She’s great in Plus One !
The way I laughed during the entire show 😭 both of them were so messed up
she did steal the show

I will take Amazon Prime to court. they deceived us. I bought prime video especially for this series. PERIPHERAL 2 ;/
She was terrible casting.
Not sexy. Action fight scenes are completely a joke.
I love the actress but sometimes you're not a good fit for the material
Totally disagree. She is very sexy. You've just got bad taste in women.
You sound like a sociopathic child who has never been disciplined
You just expected the show to be different than it is.
