It is a gift to hear him speak. We are blessed by these recordings he is making for us. He is a great example, teacher, and Roman Catholic walking in our own day and time ❣️
Come, Holy Spirit, rain down your love on your people. Your love and your grace are enough for me. Pray for me, Celine, that I trust in You my Lord, Teach me to see what to be the one to give me the power. Pras
Brother Barron, Once again you've knocked one out of Wrigley Field! Love the Luke 24 chapter. Luke, the physician, knew the difference between death and life and so wrote of the "eating" to demonstrate this was a full blown, no ghostly resurrection. May God continue to bless you and your work. From one of your greatest protestant fans. The thumbs down folks are just grumpy.
Bishop, you are bringing hope back to those who've lost it. I learned about you from Jordan Peterson's podcast. You are thought provoking and believable. I was raised catholic in a family that didn't live it. Yet I've always believed and feared Christ. I've welcomed Him back into our home.
Thank you so much Bishop Barron. I am very grateful for these homilies--and I so much appreciate that you always give us the pure truth--you take off the gloves and give us the straight story--no softening anything! Thanks be to God--I don't want to be a beige Catholic! God bless you!
Two course meal - main course and sweet dessert. Thank you Bishop Barron. My Anglican Sunday in the English spring is not complete without your sermon.
Thank you Abishop for being the spark of Easter alive in me again this Sunday. Your homily helped me to have that awesome experience and feel the joy of Easter in my heart. Jesus is truly risen!
The fundamental question is do you believe in the connection of heaven and earth via the resurrection. I do. And to recognize that every wound Christ suffered was generated by something I have done. But He forgives and forgets my transgressions so as to have me a part of the Heavenly Reward for accepting Christ as the savior. Love these homilies.
This is a very beautiful and amazing explanation of the true meaning of the Holy Resurrection. Thank you Bishop Barron. God be with you too, as you clearly manifest.
ON FIRE!!! Totally agree that Bishop Baron has been ON FIRE with all these INCREDIBLE homilies!! Sending this one to ALL I know who want to "milktoast" the resurrection. AMEN AMEN!!
Such a powerful talk, tears are streaming down my face, those glimpses of when we realize, enter into the love of heaven meeting the earth, what love awaits us all. May God continue to bless this ministry
I tell you this , brethren ; flesh and blood cannot inherit the Kingdom Of God; St Paul ;1 Cor 15 verse 50 and with what kind of body st Paul asks in verse 35 ( same chapter.) There is a physical body , there is also a spiritual body(verse 44 same chapter.) St Paul says the spiritual body of Christ is beyond any description and is unrecognizable by any any earthly eyes. A spiritual body is a body completely and perfectly energised and animated and empowered by the Holy Spirit.
As I pray “The Lord’s Prayer “ to vision the transition of Jesus ( word made flesh) Descend and ascend from heaven to earth. Bishop continue to teach so that I can learn and believe...thank you 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
It is, indeed, important to not let the resurrection be watered down to mere symbolism. Jesus, in his body, truly rose from the dead! I love how this is the 3rd or 4th video of Bishop Barron in which he repeats these same lines. Because they have to be repeated, lest the Resurrection is turned into a myth.
These are fantastic observations on the resurrection by Bishop Baron. I particularly love how the bishop pointed out Peter’s call to action. If the resurrection is indeed historical fact, as all the evidence indicates, we cannot be passive but we must respond with repentance so we too can share not just in Christ’s death as we die to sin but His glory as we share in His resurrection. Hallelujah for the hope of the resurrection that nothing or no one can take away!
I don't personally believe in the resurrection but appreciate the open minded and teachings from Bishop Baron. I am back to church following listening to his talks and debates with athiests. Maybe things will change but I do believe the moral teachings of Christ are the most pure and clean way to live my life and my family.
So beautifully said Bishop Barron, "...we have an advocate... a brother who walked the same earth... breathe the same air... brought in the heavenly space..." and as this earthly brother Jesus once said... "...on earth as it is in heaven'. (Advocate... from the latin 'voco' meaning 'call' - We have a brother, the first born and ascended!).
Thank you for another meaningful homily. Not only do your words help feed my soul but you give me so much to think about. You always challenge me. You are in my prayers 🙏🙏
I once witnessed the “ Holy Face” of the “ Shroud of Turin”, which appeared, around the Crucifix, on the Altar of the local Catholic Church. There were ten of us present, including the local Priest, Father Michael Cronin. RIP. The wonderful vision occurred after we had finished praying the Holy Rosary. The Church was Saint Thomas, Abercynon, South Wales, UK. IESU BENDIGEDIG! (Wonderful Jesus.)
Thank you for this homily.. even we Catholics need to be reminded what Christ died for, what the Church gives to us and helps us with.. to be Christ in-persona. Baptized 4-3-2021, I love attending Mass and our Rector, Fr Majewski & all our deacons have been coming at those whom attend merely to attend. Strong homilies that remind us of what Christ did for us. Even before being baptized, once I did a Mass out of curiousity, I was hooked. They are so beautiful and once I learned what occurs doing the preparation of communion.. my heart just.. it is my favorite point of Mass. It's sad knowing those about the cathedral are just 'there' doing their obligation. They are missing so so much. God bless you, Bishop Barron.
While man looks for the missing link in humanity, Jesus shows us that He is our "link" to heaven through the resurection. Through his life, death, and RESURECTION we have eternal life...if we believe. Jesus I Trust in You!
'... Connection between heaven and earth.' Beautiful! The exultet also beautifully puts it "...when things of heaven are wed to things of earth..." Thank you, BB.
Bishop, I hope you know that alot of us protestants (Im a Methodist) watch these videos and are much edified by them. Im teaching our Sunday school class this coming week, and the physical bodily resurrection of Jesus is the subject. I indeed drew some insight from this video, and it is exactly the right length. I plan to play it to the class as instructional material. Once again, Thanx so much!
Great sermon! Jesus as the Word Made Fresh is the specific revelation (Good News / declaration) of the Christian ... in Christ there is not just iteration of right teachings, drive to justice, etc, but a complete fulfillment of the promise of right teachings, drive to justice, and love (agape). The resurrection is the divine vindication of Love Made Fresh.
Thank You Bishop Barron for raising our minds and hearts to a higher level. Your point about heaven meeting earth is so important. In the gospel Jesus does tell us that Heaven , hell or purgatory begin right here on earth . Which phase or state your in is up to you. I think many or most Christians are stuck in a earthly purgatory because of apathy. Many Christians want to believe and hope but they are not that excited about putting the gospel into action.
So many are not willing/able to "enter deeply" into that which confounds....unless of course it's something really important like a university assignment or, what to cook for dinner. For those of us who have been granted the grace to do so, there are no words in this space. Once again Jesus has raised you out of this 'overwhelmed' state and called you to call us, ever forward. Thank you.
Wonderful, wonderful sermon Bishop Baron. I wish you had been around in my youth. So many wasted years at a Convent with absolutely no inspiration whatsoever. Thank you !!
Jesus, Mary and st. Joseph graciously teach us holiness. Ps 4:1, Lk 24:40:44 Dear Lord Jesus, bless our family. Be so kind as to give us the unity, peace, and love. Bless the children of our family. Help them to be obedient and devoted to their parents. Make them more and more like You. Let them grow, as You did, in wisdom and strength and grace before God and man. Amen
Thank-you for a beautiful and meaningful explanation of Jesus's resurrection! You have clearly captured the reality and meaning of his resurrection, praise God for this! Jesus has truly died to save us and to bring us back to God. May I ask that you teach us about repentance sometime to help us get there?
Another Epic Sermon from Bishop Barron; and most fitting alongside the discussions or the 'Arguments' Bishop often holds with non-believers or 'Skeptics'☆
Wonderful as always. By coincidence, yesterday I read Bishop Barron’s “Exploring Catholic Theology” where he talks about these topics in more depth. Great book.
Thank you Bishop Barron for your ministry and teaching this Easter season. Though I am a United Methodist pastor and not RC, I have been sharing your Easter sermons online with my parishoners. This one is very much in line with our Eastertide sermon series. Also, you might consider changing your name to NT Barron. 😉🙂
The last part of the Easter Exsultet proclaimed at the Easter Vigil ( for non-catholics, this is when Catholics keep vigil after dark and read about God's wondrous works throughout salvation history) states, "O truly blessed night, when things of heaven are wed to those of earth, and divine to the human". This is the Resurrection!
This is your best sermon yet. Powerful! Helped me to connect all the important parts of salvation. The resurrection is how heaven and earth came together. How Christ's wounds were reflections of our sins and the need to repent. The connection between creation (the word) and the word made flesh. Then his eating fish with the Apostles = body & soul resurrected. Also helpful to understand Greek and Old Testament views of souls and death.
In the midst of our joy the incomprehensible Lord shows us only the desire to share a meal with us. Let that sink in to those who would depreciate the table against the altar. The altar is a symbol of cost, of sacrifice -- but the banquet table and the feast of the Lamb is representative of much more. Oh, so much more. The height of Israel's obedience received a meal before the throne of God, and they did not suffer for it. Why should it be any different when our joy is also complete?
I see in the Our Father....thy kingdom come, thy will b e done, ON EARTH AS IT IS IN HEAVEN. THAT is what happens at the mass. Heaven and earth are joined, in our church, at the consecration. Then, give us this day our daily bread. There is Jesus whom we receive at the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. Rejoice! For our Saviour comes every day, at the Catholic Church, in the mass! Please go to confession before receiving Jesus. Dont go if you see youve sinned.
Go to Church, everyone! Participate in this extraordinary message!
Bishop Barron has been really killing it with these Easter homilies. So profound
It is a gift to hear him speak. We are blessed by these recordings he is making for us.
He is a great example, teacher, and Roman Catholic walking in our own day and time ❣️
Bishop Barron has been laying the groundwork for The Era of Peace

Well, Lord have mercy on them thumbdowns people.
Jesus is alive, offers us forgiveness, peace, a share in his joy. Say yes to Jesus, give your life to him and serve everyone with love!
God bless you Bishop Barron
Thank you, Bishop!
I discovered Bishop Barron through the recent JP conversation. I'm very happy to have found this guy.

Thank you so
Much and thank God that in our dear church we have such wonderful apostles
Jesus Christ had risen from the dead in a living form of flesh and bones, spreading joy and a sense of relief in the hearts of his disciples.
I tell you this , brethren ; flesh and blood cannot inherit the Kingdom Of God; St Paul ;1 Cor 15 verse 50 and with what kind of body st Paul asks in verse 35 ( same chapter.)

Iconic; the best of the best. So helpful; thank you, Bishop Barron!
Daily spiritual food for us. I really appreciate Bishop Barron.
I always loved that He asked them for food and ate with them! Use makes it all so much more to me. Real person, it a ghost. Indeed He is Risen! 🇨🇦🌷🙏🏽

Wow. I understand fully what this gives to me, the truth of the death and resurrection of Jesus which is NOT a vague symbol. I get it.
Thank you Bishop Barron~!!! You have a gift of explaining so clearly those concepts that sometimes are not clear to us.
Excellent. Helpful. Insightful. Thank you.

Imagine if you will, that all Christians spend as much time on the resurrection as we do on the birth of Christ.
Useful message, pastor. Thanks.
