I grew up in Issaquah, lived there for 16 years. If you do move to Issaquah, you're gonna want to move into north Issaquah (Klahanie, Highlands, the closer to Sammamish the better). Avoid downtown Issaquah if you can (Olde Town, Issaquah High School area). It's not terrible, but it can get dangerous. A lot of crimes, break-ins, vehicle thefts, etc. North Issaquah is very safe. Nice rich neighborhoods; very clean and a good place to raise kids. I literally used to go on runs at midnight in Klahanie. South Issaquah is definitely more "historic", but sadly, it's also the hotbed for Issaquah's crime. I went to both Skyline High School and Issaquah High School, and if you can, send your kids to Skyline. Both schools have their own share of problems but Issaquah High School has much worse (wannabe) gang-violence and racism issues. Overall, if you live in north Issaquah, you'll love it. If you live in south Issaquah, 50/50 you hate it.

I think your point of view of Issaquah is way off, you must have money to be this blind or don’t live here. I live not even a mile away from Front St or Issaquah high school. First our daughter is mixed race and gets racist comments by other school kids who are white. Also the white kids use the N word and don’t care. Second the teachers at that school are lazy and care more about being cool than teaching. Our daughter said that teachers won’t even check homework because it’s too time consuming. When someone brought a knife to the school no one knew what was happening and the teachers were just notified that there was a dangerous student. So the teachers made the students go to the windows and crouch. What??? With all that’s been going on in the last 10 years in schools how as a teacher not gonna have a plan or question the school about not having one. Also a lot of the kids go to the trail across the street to get high or hook up in the parking lot. I’ve seen this leaving to go to work or coming home. Now the town itself has only two lanes so traffic is always a problem and when it snows it doesn’t move. Break in’s is a problem. I don’t think one person I know that lives here didn’t have someone break into their car or home. Yes it’s looks nice here but it has its problems.
I lived here for 10 +years and I can't tell you how accurate this is. All those break-in's are the homeless heroin addicts who went to high school in that area a while ago.
We're living in Issaquah for a year, and we love it here! The best place to raise a child! Parks, playgrounds, sidewalks, nature...

No longer nice. Got shot at one morning around the Fred Meyer. Nice character increasing hole in my van, now. Not one of the best areas. Not close.
Was it a non-White or an antifa/drug addict?

Issaquah is one of THE MOST boring places you could ever live. You buy a 6 - 7 figure home and all there is to do is stare at trees. Wow.. so fun.
omg this is the comment I needed to see, thanks, it really looks boring
