Tran Doonzyy Yo, I’m sure you can learn if you keep at it! Try just pushing the board down with both fingers before you pop so it snaps up harder and less finger strength is needed :)
Every other video says “just slam your finger down and slide up” you actually demonstrated so I’m practicing now. It’s a lot easier and I’m sure I’ll figure it out soon
@@idle8488 ive got it pretty close in a day. depends how much you practice and everyones different and learns at a different pace so you never know until you try.
Mine are small too. Another way to learn ollies is to ride up to the top of the vertical side of your desk, pop the Ollie and try landing on the flat desk. It helps Levelling out.
If you are having trouble with the pop portion: 1. Practice on something soft like your bed (helped me) I don’t know why but it makes it easier 2. Practice popping off the side of a book, with your tail hanging off the back and your back trucks on the book. Then Ollie onto that book. It is a lot easier
being straight up i cant believe just the 2 trick helped me literally this is how most people should do a tutorial give you tricks to do that slowly build your muscle memory
Thank you so much! I have tried to ollie for hours and never made it off the ground. No one else said to rotate your finger when you pop and now I can get it to actually pop!
I've been searching up guides forever and this one helped a lot!! all the other guides are like"just slide your finger and yould get it". this helped so much thank you!!
this is the most helpful video ive seen for an ollie! everything else is just "pop it and slide your fingers" but you actually show how! Now i can finally learn a kick flip after this
I watched this 3 years and learned from you thanks for teaching me I now have them super smooth and on lock I’m passing on the tradition and teaching my friend how to fingerboard he’s really enjoying it

Yo Thanks man for the Tutorial. After warching i didnt get it but after like 1 Hour i got it and jumped over pencils and stuff. Now I can do it pretty good. Thanks for the great Tutorial
Jeff Chocolate Alright so this comment is old so you probably already learned the ollie but im just answering this for others. Try doing an ollie on an angle like on a ramp or bank.
the landing on the nose trick actually works the best from any other ones that people told me to do i can still only do a small ollie but its getting better
so what i found that helped, when you do the first pop the tail you move the board back a little bit very fast until it barely lays on your fingers and then you have control of the board, it looks good and it works for doing other tricks that require an ollie
Holy shiz, the leg suggestion was gaming changing, now I can do it off the edge of a desk, it's like biking but with training wheels. Can't wait til I get this, thanks, it's mindless and nice to do this during and in between work and art
Damn can you actually double tre? I can only do a single. Have a look through the latest comments, I've been replying to each to try fix common problems
Ikr I tried to do an Ollie ( for the first time) also me tho does an 360 kick flip then lands it while my cousin is in shock cuz I said I was trying a ollie
I just can’t get it higher than just the back going up then it landing on the nose on flat ground when I pop. And yes I’ve tried all of the techniques you listed I just can’t get the back off the ground.
I had the exact same problem for ages! My hand would just seize up instead of popping! This is purely a mental block so try these to work around it: - Try do an ollie motion while keeping your hand as limp and floppy as possible, slowly add more pressure. - Try rolling back and popping the tail down without worrying about the rest of the trick yet, let the board roll back upside down onto your hand. - Practice the finger motion on a table without the fingerboard first, then the same thing on the board. - Don't push down so hard before the trick.
You explained it really well! But I have a question. I have the muscle memory of trying to flip the board so when ever I try to pop the tail a little harder it flips
Thanks! If you want to keep it under control when popping harder I'd say try keep your back finger flat as possible and centred in the middle. Also u can check my latest kickflip tutorial if u want to get the flips down right :)
