the main reason why adblock dosent show as much is that people watch streams more on mobile than pc , hence why less adblockers show since its harder to get a reliable adblocker on mobile.

Right, there's always modified youtube apps out there that have ads blocked, I wouldn't be surprised if there's some modified Twitch app out there with adblock, too. The problem is the average person doesn't know where to find these apps or they just don't trust it not to mention that if the app gets too popular they could get shut down like RUclips Vanced was.

Highly doubt that plenty of streamers that have left twitch to Facebook haven't had the same numbers. The moment a streamer leaves Twitch, there is quite a big portion that just stops watching. RUclips has been an exception, but that's because nearly everybody that uses twitch also use and have been watching RUclips already for years. Fact of the matter is RUclips and Twitch are the primary streaming sites because they were the first, and most people do actually tend to be loyal... Just like the Marvel movies at this point in time.

@@Akaitoism Mixer in itself wasn't the worst service for sure, but the sense of community was horrible, and the fact that it HAD to be a microsoft account also ruined it.
The streaming service in itself had some cool features, especially the "Hype" zone on BR games (Realm Royale especially in it peaks) where it would randomly feature anyone who was close to winning a game. It had stuff like that, but all the sense of community was completely gone.
I do remember getting featured in Hype Zone once and it was so cool just having random people come in hyping me up for the win. Otherwise I agree, I went back to Twitch long before the service went down just because of it being an extremelly clunky overlay of a website, weird things with the users etc and everything.

    • @ClowdyHowdy
      @ClowdyHowdy Год назад +1

Streamers were never prevented from streaming on other platforms. They just couldn't stream to multiple at the same time as streaming on twitch. Twitch never worked to make this obvious and clear because it benefits them if you don't stream at all on other platforms.
Exclusivity has always pertained to Live content, aka content being actively streamed on twitch, and a short exclusive window of time where the live vods couldn't be uploaded to other platforms.
As such, twitch never has and will continue to not break contracts under exclusivity rules unless they are simultaneously streaming to twitch in addition to one or more other platforms.
There is nothing stopping anyone from stopping their stream on twitch, and hitting the live button on any other platform.
There might be exceptions to this in the case of big custom exclusive contract deals that apply to the 0.001% on twitch, but for the people who aren't top 100 streamers, this doesn't stop them.

I had mentioned Devin Nash previously in relation to the viewbot video you reacted to a bit ago, but he did a very recent take on the launch of Kick. I think his take is extremely informational considering he runs an agency, which happens to represent Trainwrecks in some brand deals. Devin is also a friend of Train, though I think he presents the facts quite fairly despite that fact. A new platform could still be a major deal for many creators even if it's not the charitable beacon of altruism people were hoping for, so if you revisit the topic I highly recommend the Devin Nash breakdown. He gets into the backing, the underlying technology (which is purchased from Amazon BTW), and the issues with realizing a profit.

My take on Twitch with ads is thats its the same as Boomers with TV, my parents tv shows are now more commercials than actual content. My dad refuses to let go of using TV as his main way to watch a lot of his entertainment. Its what he's always done and what he will do till the day he dies. twitch has been on a lot of peoples radar for so long for streams that so many people don't ever even consider leaving. They might not even see all the news about twitch making changes unless their streamer directly comments on it.

This is what will slow down kick's growth there's needs to be a seismic shift of creators jumping ship to the platform enough to where it affects the user experience on twitch in order for them to steal viewership otherwise most people won't be bothered because they are comfortable where there at.

If I made a platform I'd make it a middle man for sponsorships. Not all of them but more one that can pair up sponsorships with streamers with out needing to pay for those email spammers, trying to get people to agree to sponsorships. Basically it shows people a list and they can get quoted based on their streaming history on top of a clear age rating system to where content that's as spicy as milk would get pushed and best sponsorships but the streamer would be subject to much harsher rules, reviews and over all content policing.
The whole idea is subs and bits don't really make that much money. Sponsorship middle men make mad money and if you are able to get a system that people agree into to make their content more parent friendly, then you get more money for doing so. People who want to rage, swear alot, or gamble / rather more adult things won't get harmed out side of getting pushed less and making less in cuts. Also violent video games would get rated for what the ESRB gives them. Again, promoting more Teen games then 18+ games.
It would suck how ever it would be fair because people understand if they want more money. I'd also get brand deals like tiktok to where you'll be allowed to stream special content like copyright shows or music if you paid a monthly fee of like 5-10$ then 5% share after that. Making it possible to do singing streams and even give the songs with no voices so people don't have to do anything other then just play it and do their thing.
TBH twitch should have the sponsorship system and copywrite in my eyes. They are leaving a lot of money on the table not middle manning for their streamers.

Asmon is an exception, he brings intelligent thought and conversation, mixes it up with gaming, some memes, McConnell shows up sometimes, it's a great balance.

If you have a healthy relationship with gambling then it isn't a problem

Like think of they get a streaming deal with the ufc for kick because Stake sponsors the UFC and being that the UFC is rocket shipping it’s way to be the most popular combat sport. Kick may be something to look out for in the future depending how they make business decisions

I dont use it, but I at least read the twitter files, so I know essentially all the bans to the people that moved over there were superfluous ego trips by losers without any real signifcance. They were all politically motivated, rather than actually breaking a TOS, or were users demanded by the FBI themselves (I know it sounded fucking crazy till I read and looked into it) to be banned for not supporting the popular opinion.

Playing video games will never get you a following, a million others already do that. Being good at a video game will also get you no views.
Social media is different, and with everyone trying to become famous with absolutely NO talent, it's difficult.
