I've never blatantly been a LAREINE fan but I'll never really get over how Kamijo just... understood the assignment goddammit! His aesthetic vision of his persona is so perfect he's almost the summum of a VK artist
i'm just so touched by Kamijo, i know him since Lareine and follow him over the years, and yes, he has changed a LOT his vocal techniques. He started very nasal and in the most of the songs, singing from the throat, but now he use his diaphragm and the nasal voice has disappeared completely, which shows us his great dedication on what he does. I loved his old style, and i love his new style even more.

The voice surprised me; I knew it was Kamijo, but it didn't sound like him! What you said explains it very well, and of course it it makes sense that he would've continued to work, expand, and improve his voice and singing style. Singers who sing from the throat generally wind up damaging their vocal cords later; I pray that Kamijo will be well and safe for years to come, delighting us all.

A friend sent me this link, after seeing Kamijo I started looking everywhere for the band. I'm a big fan of Lareine! I like his new band as well ^_^ Kamijo is so Beauitful! My sister and I both think he looks like a mix between Lestat from Interview with the Vampire and Rosiel from Angel Sanctuary. It's snowing so I had to watch this... Kamijo sang higher on studio recordings during Lareine. But he would change the key in concert and you can hear it clearly on Lareine's live videos. His singing didn't really change that much for Versailles, it's just that this was the first time he showed it outside of a live setting.
omg, kamijo rocks, he is still able to sing like that even today, amazing wen he sang his ballad at the Knitting Factory in LA. i was there!!!! =P, Versailles was great!!

Kamijo's Lareine voice is an acquired taste, but not bad. More delicate. His voice in Versailles is obviously lower and easier on the ear. I like both. It wouldn't have sounded as good or went along with the theme if he used his Lareine voice in Versailles (or vice versa). I agree with earlier comments though. In Versailles' later songs (after Jasmine died) Kamijo's voice changed. He's trying too hard... And the smoking isn't helping either >_>

Lareine was a band of love and passion... couldn't agree more. There's something about Lareine that even in my head I think that this guy sang like an okama and the lyrics are often cheap, but in the back of my heart I was touched by their passion.
I always wondered how low-voiced Vesailles!Kamijo could sing with a band like this... Now I know that Lareine!Kamijo doesn't sound like the new one at all... And he even got his teeth fixed! Drummer's awesome.

And this is the first Lareine video i seen there is a real difference. I guess i'll listen to more Lareine to get used to it. I love Kamijo either way and I love his long hair!!! Even though I (surprisingly) recognized Kamijo by looking at his face in this video, I have to confess that if anyone made me listen to a clip of this song and then one from a Versailles song, I would completely deny that those two voices came from the same person.
Kamijo and Ruki two of my favourite voices in visual kei could not sing well in the old days lol. But their improvement is inspiring. My voice sounds as good Kamijos in this song lol maybe I can get better too.

@VisualKeiMonster The term "Visual Kei" is actually believed to have come from X-Japan's album cover "Blue Blood" which said : "PSYCHEDELIC VIOLENCE: CRIME OF VISUAL SHOCK". To say that VK was founded by western bands is... inaccurate, but it's easy to understand why would you think so.

I should Say this's my first pv I listen about Lareine. til now I've just heard Versailles and I have to say somethings. I'm used to Kamijo's voice from 2007 til 2013 so it's sound very different. Here he was young surely and the voice is fresher than Now. But I prefer his young voice, even if is not possbile to hear it live anymore. with his actual voice he can do a lot of things more than in d past

Back in the day of Lareine, Kamjio wasn't using his true voice. But until he shined upon Versailles, he blossomed his true self.
