Ive watched this video like 50x and it’s so goddamn valuable. The breakdown, everything just makes sense. This helped as I’m sizing down from a longboard to a 7’0

Nice video review thanks. Just a little observation on the arm closer to the wave face that i think shouldn’t get behind the body but in front of it most of the time. Thanks again

I'm curious ~ what would be the differences between a 7'6" and 6'8" board (say, for example, sakes, the same model) regarding midlength boards? I'm 55 years old, 175ish pounds, 5'9" still trying to keep surfing weekend warrior style \m/. I'm trying to paddle again and improve my surfing with a new 6'8" board. It's been an adjustment just trying to catch waves.

It could be the difference between struggling and not struggling. It's always hard for me to give fool proof and solid advice if I've never seen you surf or paddle. But if you say you're struggling on the 6'8" that's a sure sign you need more foam. You should be able to surf a 7'6" as I'm doing in this video. After that step down.

Could this apply to an 8’4

Can apply to most boards. The key is understanding where the tail is and getting back there to do the turn!

Nice a video but turned off by the stupidity of not wearing a leash…wear a god dang leash!!! You are putting others at risk .Why be so irresponsible?

There will be a full video on my leash philosophy in the near future. I am an expert surfer and I never surf w/out a leash in conditions where I may lose my board. In this session I lost my board 0 times. I would never surf w/out a leash in conditions I could lose my board, but there will be a full video on this. If you don't like it, can't help ya, but I'm not going to wear a leash when it's not necessary for me to.
