Offensive line was one of the worst parts of their team last year and the season before. They allowed a 1.5 sacks per game and the year before allowed 1.7 sacks. They had a somewhat respectable 2500 rushing yards last season and a terrible 1700 the year before. With the elite players they have one the Oline they should be MUCH better

The issue is that Coach Smart trusts Bobo personally, but not with a wide open offense. He didn’t trust Chaney, did trust Monken, doesn’t trust Bobo. For what it’s worth, neither do I.
Pollack has objectively about Georgia football. Georgia quality of roster has gotten worse that is a fact. Also even the Georgia fans can’t argue that both coordinators have some flaws the media types won’t talk about. Biggest question mark is where the explosives are coming from at WR this offense needed 10 plays every drive to score need more game breakers.

As a Georgia fan I am extremely, firmly in agreement with Pollack here. If Gunner doesn’t improve at all, or even gets worse, there’s no shot for a natty. It’ll likely end in almost the exact same fashion. It’s just not going to be good enough to run through an entire playoff field.
The 1st half of the season Gunner looked like the one. But there was not really any film on him. After a few games other teams had film on Gunner and was able to figure him out which is why he couldn't throw for more than a 100 yards towards the end of the season. Our defense carried us the rest of the season after Gunner was exposed.
I think georgias best shot at a Natty would be leave the sec and play in a tougher conference, or stay in the sec and schedual tougher ooc teams and fewer sec teams so they will be able to play tougher teams to learn and adjust to how they play. that way they wont go 1 and done in the sec playoffs...

This left us in a position similar to 2024 where your best outside guy is Dillon Bell who we can get hot on his day but isn't a guy who can always get open.

@bchap1233 Despite losing Bain and Mesidor the D line room will actually be deeper this year. Only question mark is O line because they’re young but I trust Mario and Mirabal to have them ready. I can assure you D line won’t be an issue
