- The total voter turnout in Srinagar constituency was recorded at around 36 percent till 6 pm Monday. In 2019, this figure was 14.43 percent and the highest voter turnout since 1989 was recorded in 1996 at 40.94 percent, according to data shared by the J&K Police. Glad to see youth of kashmir embracing election.
Now government needs to ensure all-round development in Jammu & Kashmir so that cone the Assembly elections (whenever they happen), we can see an even higher turnout. People need to feel encouraged that their vote is making a difference.
24 hours electricity would be a good start followed by focusing on expanding primary education & primary health infrastructure.
Parallely, BJP will have to start spreading itself in the valley.
Tide and time both have shifted in j and k. Large scale violence has ebbed barring sporadic attacks on migrant workers and kashmiri pandits. Its time to vote for development, employment and the leadership that can steer both. Separatist insurgency and rabble rousing on the streets is a thing of the past.

State status & a state govt is their right not whatever else were there in 370, article 370 was in the first place made for temporary period & not as their right or permanent thing.
@@trusfratedbunny2215, correct me if I'm wrong but nowhere in the constitution written article 370 is temporary nor permanent but it's granted to the peoples of J&K as special rights at the time of merging with Indian Union by Maharaja Hari Singh. And even if, central Govt. wants to cease the article 370, the state governor, PM & president along cannot abrogates without the consent of the peoples elected representatives of all MLA of the state but PM Modi Govt. has abrogated the article 370 during the time Govt. less in the states under president rules in J&K. Even in northeast state of Nagaland, Nagas also has get the article 370(A) special land ownership rights at the time creation of Nagaland as a State under Union of India. And PM Modi Govt. too try his best to abrogates that special rights article 370(A) enjoy by the Nagas as per constitution at the time of abrogation of article 370 of J&k but PM.Modi fails to do so.
