The women singing when Aquaman swam away was a traditional Nordic farewell song as a goodbye to an important figure in their lives. It fits perfectly when the scene transitioned to Martha moving out & basically saying goodbye to his son & husband, 2 most important figures in her life, through their graves.
Technically, it's confusing & felt a bit dragging, but artistically it's a great way to convey the same message within 2 scenes. And 1 thing for sure about Snyder's style is that he's very artistic.

So the IMAX ratio is actually better than wide screen. Wide screen removes the top and bottom of a shot. Snyder wanted the audience to really see everything he shot. People have that misconception about imax all the time
This also made me feel like i am watching an old DC animated movie or series...cuz at that time mostly every series was of this aspect...
The movie is in IMAX format but he didn't use an IMAX camera. He just loves those theatres.

The IMAX aspect ration was picked to make the heroes appear taller and more like Titans than widescreen which usually cuts people off at the waist or make them look tiny and far away.

They cut like 90% of this film. Was either cut or reshot to be 2 hours. waste of time. Thank god we got this one released.
This one is superior in many ways, however most people exaggerate. At LEAST 50% of the theatrical cut was in this film. I actually watched these back to back and counted how many scenes were the same. There are even some scenes that were only in the theatrical cut that I kind of wished was in this one.

Ya they cut up the wonderwoman intro, still got most of it though. And the Amazon fight was shortened too. You should watch a scene comparison on your own time. Oh and 90%cyborgs scenes were cut
Yes I will. The imax screens are like 100ft tall by 100ft wide bigger than most normal screens. When you are watching an imax movie the picture takes up your entire field of view. That's why it's square
To add on to this great point: It's a director choice. The IMAX format that we see utilized in Zack's Justice League creates a tall image to capture the epic nature of the characters and action. MCU films utilize the more rectangle image to view so you can see more surroundings but it tends to 'squish' the characters and action.
Artistic choices for each vision with tradeoffs foe each.
TBH after a couple of minutes, loved the IMAX presentation from Justice League.

That entire flash intro was cut. Even thought they had teased it in the original trailer before it came out in theaters
It was called Josstice League because the theatrical cut basically made by Joss Whedon the director of Avengers 1 and 2. Joss Whedon only used 10-20 % of Zack Snyder footage and the movie only 2 Hours long so basically the cut out the entire movie

Whedon didn't completely destroy the museum scene in the theatrical version. He cut out the more violent parts & (for no reason) cut out the part where Wonder Woman comforts the girl.
Because he saw Diana's role was just like Natasha/Black Widow's role in Avengers. A support that's just go BANG BANG BANG. That's why he cut a lot of WW scenes im JL. Notice that BW in the 1st Avengers movie didn't do much & only acted as a support. Just like WW in Joss' cut.
Even he called Diana as Natasha on set. He didn't understand the characters at all. He made The Flash a wimp, Batman a Tony Stark knock-off, Aquaman a grumpy surf bro, Superman a Christopher Reeves knock-off (more cheesy & cartoonish), & Cyborg a... well, he's clearly clueless on handling a Black superhero without pandering so he didn't give Cyborg much inportant things to do just to be "safe."

One of the reasons why they cut alot of the scenes out was because it would've been too long for a theatrical release (even tho Endgame was also a little over 3 hours) and originaly had R rated stuff in the movie. Another reason is I assume Weadon wanted to put his own scenes in and we'll we saw how that turned out.
Best fucking movie made in a very very very long time and there's been some great movies

The 2017 Justice League is called JOSSstice League because of the director Joss Whedon who took over from what Zack Snyder left off. And he fucked it up.

90% of this movie was not in the theatrical release. you're seeing an entirely new movie.

You should've watched the original Justice League release before watching the Snyder cut so you could see just how bad the original release was. EVERY question you had from the original release was answered in the Snyder cut and it was absolutely incredible!!!

2/3rds of the movie was cut from the theatrical release
close to 90% was reshot and redone and new SFX done in about 90s days prior to release and Danny Elfman butchered soundtrack. This was the original cut. The only thing new was some of the now 30 minute epilogue, and a little post production SFX. We were robbed.

This movie was butchered in the Josstice League, Zack Synder's Justice League is what we should have got the first time and I'm glad it was released on HBO Max. I got HBO Max to see it to show my support for the movie. I have seen it a few times already and I enjoyed it every time.

The theatrical version was 2 hours, this version is 4 hours. That alone tells you how much they cut out.
You do realize that not ALL of this was always the plan. There are totally scenes that Snyder came up with specifically for this cut years after the fact.
@@oliviarogers2808 I am also aware they cut the film down and re-filmed scenes to the studio's preference for the 2017 film, so even 2 hours worth isn't the original footage. You can even tell what scenes were done by Whedon, the contrast is almost jarring.
@@oliviarogers2808 There were a few short scenes added for this release. The vast majority, probably over 90% had been shot before Zach left the project they just hadn't done any of the post-production work.

Even the parts that are in both are different a lot of it cut out. The movie in theaters was 2 hrs and 80% of it was rewritten and reshot by joss whedon. It was HOT garbage.
