“I wanted to be able to do something with the rest of my life that wasn’t about making a buck. It was about doing something that next time I die, I can at least I can feel happy about myself. That I was here”
That hit me hard.
Saw this quote just yesterday.
“The two most important days in your life are the day you are born and the day you find out why.” Mark Twain
Holy cow that last 4 minutes. I have no idea who this man is but a lot more people need to hear this.
He rediscovered 'Earthing', which has healed thousands of people.
Thanks ever so much for this touching testimony! So much wisdom! Thanks for sharing! ❤️❤️❤️
I've been watching things come out of a 1600sq', 3/2 house with 2 backyard sheds for months now. The owner passed away. First the immediate family came and took what they wanted, then there was an estate sale, then a slow trickle of I guess friends and others who took what they wanted, and today there is another trailer load being hauled away. It was a lifetime collection with the American mindset of never purging. I honestly don't know how there was enough room to breath, much less live in that space. I'm so glad we have purged and won't be a burden to our kids and friends.
Our pets are affected by our lifestyle. But animals in the wild do not live, on average, to the age that our pets can achieve. Many of the diseases show up in the later years. Also, in the wild a sick animal will become prey quickly.
I was wondering about this. I am genuinely curious how they could know wild animals are not getting cancers etc. I'd have thought that would be difficult to monitor.
I never had much stuff. I've been getting rid of ten or fifteen things each day. I finally got my husband of fifty (50) years to go through his stuff. He threw out a bunch of junk, gave some clothes away, and sold a few things. Tina, Al's wife
Thanks for sharing.. I'm 55 and have clutter which is from the last time I moved/started a new life (age 31). Chronically ill and disabled but 10 things a day on the days possible seems like a reachable goal. Because I don't know where to start and energy and focus is very limited. The idea of 10 items per day gives me hope again
Wow, man. WOW.
"Since my house burned down I now own a better view of the rising moon"
Those words still haunt me to the core, even today...they are so potent and real, of where we come from and what we represent ourselves to be...
I’m learning what really matters in my life, it’s not things, it’s people.
It's what's real over what's engineered and marketed to tell us we are real.
Love Clint and his work! So glad to see him on the Minimalists!
Wow, so enjoyed listening and thinking through all he said.thanks for sharing.
“Things” are not the enemy, attachement to “things” is the impediment.
Wow! Talking about opening our eyes...
Wow! Powerful message.
Oh patreon! I forgot about that Community for the minimalists!
How bland and insipid are the things of this world when you compare them to what Mother Earth offers.,
If you realise you have enough, then you are truly rich.
Where did he go and live after he sold his house?
What was his life's purpose after he left with two suitcases?
Thanks
I loved that ❤️

Wow U guys sid great. I wish u would have made.sure he stayed on the subject. He seems very enthralled with himself.
The gentlemen was rambling and off topic. Difficult to listen and wait for him to get to the topoc.
He is at least humble and the contribution he has made to society is massive. Find out more about him and you might be inclined to ease back your criticism.
❤🧡💛💚💙💜
Cancer does exist in nature, but animals have to reach an old age before the genetic mechanisms fail enough for cancer to grow. Animals live longer when people and other animals aren't trying to kill them (pets) so of course pets are going to live long enough to get diseases. Hard to listen to the rest of the points when he got this point so fundamentally wrong.
He said almost
@@minimalistserendipity4744 I was going to say the same thing. It's also not "what the author meant you to see in the book" if you get my drift.
