I hope the roti Keramat will change Cristiana's mind to stay longer in Malaysia. Just to ensure that, I gave the Nasi Kahwin, rambutan and the durian too... 😁 Anyway both of you Cristiana and Joao are very nice couple. I really hope you like the food. Its the least I can do, since you have said many good things about Malaysia.
Completely agree. . I've visited Malaysia 5 times, I loved KL, Georgetown / Penang & Langkawi, I always found friendly people, hospitable and helpful to tourists. The food is the best I've found in SEA
Don’t forget to buy that “kerisik” …it is a must ingredient for your rendang. that you want to to cook in Portugal…You can find readymade at supermarkets….3 full tablespoon of kerisik for 2 kg of meat…it will last more than a year if you keep it in a fridge and longer in a freezer.
@@Travelgramers kerisik is not dried coconut, kerisik is dry toasted coconut until brown and then pounded until fine and it’s oil comes out…it is the ingredient that gives the rendang the rich and flavorful taste…just a normal dry coconut won’t give the rendang taste as it should be…However, if you dont. really like it, then i guess just stick to your preference .
You're lucky to be in Peninsular Malaysia at this time of the year for durian feast (special thanks to Mona and hubby). Next, maybe try free MRT ride to Kajang for satay (drop off at Kajang Stadium)
Yea you need kerisik to make rendang. Without kerisik, its not rendang. Kerisik gives the dish its smokey, peanutty and creamy flavour. Its grated coconut until golden brown and grounded very very fine until the oil comes out a bit. They sell in big and small packets. Will last longer if you freeze it in your freezer. Wow that nasi kahwin looks soo yummy!
I am sure Christiana enjoyed her favourite roti keramat. Very thoughtful of Mona for giving you the roti keramat that she bought from her trip to Terengganu.
