Using profession ranger try to cat "opal", it is luck based. Once you will get the item "opal" then you can continue the Cat + Opal quest. You need to encounter all 6 endings with 6 different people. (Merciful, Innocent, Contemplation, Confusion, Memory and Solitude). Sometimes the person inside cave gets repeated which is painful because you will to do again and again.
There's 6 parts to the tale and they're randomized, but the chronological order is: You meet a pregnant woman in the cave and help name the child. You meet a child in the cave after being led by the cat and you discuss the significance of life after accidentally stepping on a few ants and killing them. The kid thinks maybe if the ants are bigger, like cat-sized, then you can see them more easily and wouldn't step on them. You meet a young man who tells you about the death of his cat. You meet a middle aged man who says he's lived his whole life in the cave and never met his parents, and wanting to leave the cave but somehow can't. You meet an old man reminiscing about a cat he had while he was young, then hands you a box. When you ask what's inside, he wonders if it matters. The cat leads you into a cave and you find only a box. You take it and leave. So yeah, there's some time warp going on when you step into the cave and you're basically going into the blind box to observe the Chinese Schrodinger's life from before he was born till his (probable) death. Unfortunately you have to see all 6 endings to get the reward for this one and repeat encounters of any previously viewed parts are possible, so it can take a while to complete.
