Up for 5 hours, already under offer. Not at all surprising, one of the nicest boats we've seen.

Stunning layout. Great review James. Just needs a roll-out freezer (maybe under the bed). Fabulous to have the 2 toilets. A washing machine is always a bonus. Very cozy features. Wonder if the dinette seats have storage? Very well looked after. The entrance flooring is just stunning with custom wood floors. She will make someone a very happy live-aboard home.

Lovely boat a real credit to her owners, I love the longer boats the extra space really does make living aboard far more comfortable. That utility room is amazing second toilet and folding work surfaces. This couple could do lectures on how to look after your boat and retain its value. I will beat the nay sayers this boat can do 99% of the system and that is confirmed on the canal maps.

I would love to see these things everywhere in the Puget Sound and San Juan Islands. They would be a prefect fit for the PNW minimalist lifestyle. We have shipyards everywhere. i would buy one myself and spec it out American style. That is to say, properly.

nice to see some proper shelving and cupboards in the saloon area. I wish boat builders thought more about the future though when it came to space for the TV though. You are very limited with that one. Having said that most people seem happy enough using a laptop or iPad these days I suppose.

Back then TVs were smaller, however having said that being so close to the screen in a Narrow Boat you do not need a big screen anyway and you raised the other point yourslf many use laptops now anyway.

Not at all surprising this boat came under offer, only hours after being listed. Truly an impressive fitout in most every respect. I don't think I've ever seen a boat with this large of a water tank @ 820 Liters, you could go quite a while on that I suspect. About the only Item I can think of one might want to add to the boat may be solar, but with a Travel Generator, two alternators (One 24 volt) and 800 Amp Hours of Batteries, some may not feel the need for solar. The quality of the cabinetry is top notch, and even the flooring is well above average. I might be tempted to paint some of the tongue and groove wood to modernize the boat, a cream or white ceiling would be very eye catching. A few things I love are the bathtub, king size crossbed and not one, but two side hatches! I think 99% of Narrowboaters would be proud to own this boat, truly in the top ten I've seen. It also has a Bow Thruster ;)

That's a really well fitted-out boat as many others have said already. I'd even accept the trad stern which as I've said before is my least favourite of the 3 types available. My only problem though is the price - it's about £69,900 too large for my meagre means !!

Love the compass in the saloon floor, nice touch of custom. The couch must go, mainly because it's ugly and also looks rather uncomfortable. At 14', the saloon can easily accommodate another captains chair, and a small dining table/chairs. Despite all the wood siding and paneling, it is refreshingly bright inside. Galley is a good layout, with plenty of prep area. Love the main bath, and could easily appreciate the stern loo in the middle of the night! 43hp seems a light for a 60', but I suppose a performance prop can counter that. 69,950K for a near 20 year old boat seems a bit high, but all things can be negotiated.

The price tag initially seems a little on the high side for a 2003 boat, but when you step inside you realize that it is actually good value for the money, and if you can keep up with the care and attention is has obviously had, then it will last you forever.

For £70K (thanks DF) I think someone may have a real bargain - unless there is a nasty surprise and those are almost always avoided when buying from Rugby because Mr JM is very particular. I would sooner buy this than commission a new one. Sure, a new one could be precisely as one wanted but how often does one know precisely what one does want? No delay to buying and a lot cheaper. I am not a Trad fan but, if I were, I could see nowt wrong with this at all. In fact, it's so good, I might put-up with a Trad. NB someone said they don't like cross-beds. fair enough but that is something which could be easily changed. Always remember: 1 Hull; 2. Engine; 3 Style (Trad etc) and, after that, most things can be changed for much cheaper than buying new.

Dude! why do you keep saying the master bed is huge most of the time this bed is 5 foot by 6 foot, I need a bed that's 6 foot 6 inches just to not have my feet hanging off the bed.

  • @servicarrider

It is utter stupidity not to have large 3 way frig-freezer style appliances in these vessels. I wouldn't even begin to imagine traveling in a 45 foot American motorhome equipped with a weekend cooler box like that. Insane. Cassette toilet? Again utter idiocy.
