    • @gavingiant6900
      @gavingiant6900 Месяц назад

Yep, the 96 against 1500+. American media lied about it and said other nations were involved with the exercise, which was true after the fact when they saw what was capable. The only people telling the truth were our news (for once) and the service men and women that were there. It's the main American trait when loosing something, similar to when Britain nuked America twice (admittedly that was around the cold War though).
But it was 96 British Marines against 1500+ assortment of American troops etc.

Meat Assaults are where you use your mass advantage for a quick end result. That result is victory with a ridiculously high casualty rate. Its how the Americans work, its how the Americans have got Ukraine working, except they don't hold the mass advantage, so they're still suffering a 5 to 1 death ratio without any victories. You have zero clues what you're talking about. Russian tactics is, and always has been throughout history, to grind their enemy down. Their greatest weakness is, and always has been, logistics, getting things from a to b, thats what Ukraine should be exploiting, there should have never been any counter offensives, they shoulda dug in, now their defences are wide open.

Bear with me while I try to answer...
As a 14 yo on a cadet exercise in the early 1970s on an army training area, I was tasked to set up an ambush using blanks and thunderflashes as "grenades", against our staff and older Cadets... (Everyone eventually had a go at that sort of thing).
It involved myself and another sniper pair observing any advance along either end of a track with higher wooded ground on one side and our blank firing Bren guns and rifles were deployed to avoid "friendly fire" but to prevent the "enemy" moving away from one flank to the other... or in either direction because of the sniper pairs.
We were all well camouflaged and probably getting bored after a few hours waiting...
My instruction was, to completely destroy the enemy... Macho BS I know... But even pretend war is hell...😂
Long story short... A group of armed men jogged towards us wearing camo and jeans... The other snipers let them run through because they could hear another group following on...
The other sniper pair although initially confused, opened fire after the second group ran into shot, as the signal and everyone else joined in...
The "enemy" moved off the track to avoid the initial fire and were surprised by more weapons as they sought to settle and counter attack or run... The guys they were chasing ran into me and my spotter.
Our staff arrived 2 minutes later to rescue us from the gentle kicking we were getting from what turned out to be a very angry but thankfully small Teritorial Army SAS unit who had wandered into our area while chasing pretend "IRA Terrorists"...
Now to the point... Their officer was falling about laughing and pointing and saying, "you died first, you were next. You all effin died"... etc.
Exercises are decided by judges... Sometimes casualties are called out immediately...
Sometimes the evidence of timings, observations and the positioning of resources are enough to decide, afterwards, who won...
We debriefed in the woods, after a cup of tea along with the Troopers... They clearly had lessons to learn from it too...
Winning is not that important because it's understanding what went wrong or right that makes the difference in a real fight... And here, our platoon strength ambush was effective even as kids under 16 against some pretty aggressive and well trained adult soldiers in operating with far less numbers...

US troops, probably on account of the way they're trained and their OTT gung-ho attitude, will empty mags, willy nilly. There is a reason a certian half austrian painter had a high level of respect for the brits and fear3d brittania gett8ng 7nvolved 8n his war. He was known for stating "if the british get a foothold in europe we will lose this war"
The4e is a reason dictators s8nce then have left brita8n and the cimmonwealth countries alone.

I just want to know how that rocket got a Battlefield Ambulance and a fabulous moustache behind enemy lines. As a British Forces guy - Allow us to introduce you to our Recce Units...would be a shame if someone where to blow up all your shiny stuff at the back....

Army cadet here, love to see what the village elders are up to sometimes. Also good to know that as the 3rd trained force the UK has, the other 2 being the active service and the reserves, itll be a long time until the shit hits the fan and we're sent in. Love to @ soldiers active or otherwise!
