I’m almost exclusively a Solo player. Spider-Man is my favorite Marvel character. I really like Protection Spidey, but for my usual play style, I prefer Justice
I wonder if Spider-Man in Protection's thwarting has improved now with Come Get me Bub combined with his Spider tracers and of course a way to take out the minion.
Nice review. I’d put the order of aspects Leadership, Protection, Aggression, Justice. The basic package supplies so many allies with two thwart that you can overcome his low thwart value by panting them consistently. In aggression, Into the Fray and Sentry are excellent options for controlling threat as well.
Oooh good call on Sentry! I didn't think about using him for the threat mitigation. And very good call on having the basic allies in the mix as well. Ill give it another try!
Thanks for sharing. I agree with your aspect rankings in terms of fun/feel good, but am unsure which way I would go with Justice vs Leadership. Beyond Black Cat Voltron, the fact that he has the Avengers trait and a decent early economy (and soon Clarity of Purpose) means that he can do a lot of the fun ally swarm builds in leadership as well. On the flip side (pun only intended after the fact), Moon Girl and Ingenuity both encourage him to flip so there are some things that lean into Justice as well.
You could also put Yondu in as a second Ally besides Black Cat. You still have to get upgrades on him but taking no consequential damage for an attack or thwarting for 2 with consequential is great for Peter Parker/Spider-man. Agree that Protection is his best aspect but I enjoy him more in Leadership.

Protection is the most fun way to play him for sure, but leadership is crazy powerful.

Clarity will make so many heroes insane, especially those with built in healing (like Aunt May). I cant wait to build around that card in the future!

I vote for SP//dr
I'm so excited to get her! If I get them this week they will be next on the list!!
Spider Man is frustrating for me, because to me he reads like the ultimate thematic thwarting hero, and yet, he can barely thwart!
