SMU win and Boise State win puts Big12 at the 12 seed. But the big question is: Boise State wins, and Clemson wins. Does Iowa States (16) win over the 15th ranked team still land them ahead of Clemson (17) beating 11-1 SMU (8)? I think in past committees it’s a debate. This committee? Idk if they even are smart enough to even ask the question. Not saying that a Clemson win should jump either of those 2, but I do think it’s a post game discussion to be had (in this scenario)
Alabama doesn't deserve to be anywhere near the CFP. It's funny that Alabama only wants to talk about their quality wins . But what about your losses? You lost to Tennessee and 2 of the worst team in the country. Not just the sec, but the country. You blew a massive lead against Georgia and almost lost that game. Strength of schedule bias when ranking is missing the point. It's about winning, not loosing. NO 3 LOSS TEAM SHOULD BE IN THE PLAYOFFS PERIOD no matter what conference they represent. Ohio State, Georgia lost. Those college kids learn that loosing has ranking consequences. Now we have teams like Georgia who can loose and still win. That's not what we want. If you want to be in the final 12. You mist win out at this point. We should reward the Davids that beat the Goliath by honoring their wins. When Oklahoma, Mississippi State, etc beat a Georgia, Alabama, Miami then the looser should pay far more. Every win and loss counts the same. Lower strength teams that play above expectations is a great thing. The best teams play well. They WIN. Winning is part physical, and part mental. Reward both.
Have you not watched march madness in basketball?? This is literally how they choose the seedings and teams for the tournament. They go off of strength of record and quality wins. It's not complicated. If teams win with an easy schedule, that doesn't mean much because any team in a tough conference could do that if they played in a weak conference.
If SOS is not important everyone would play Cup Cakes. If you have 4 Top 25 Wins and team you a competing against for Spot in CFP has Zero wins in Top 25 that would be worth at least one additional Loss since Quality of wins should be important.
I don’t know what universe you from but it’s not just about winning in terms of these playoffs! A team is not getting in by playing weak out of conference schedules. They need to schedule games against top teams then you have an argument!
Nobody should have to play a PUSHOVER TYPE cupcake team in the playoffs if they were undefeated, safe to say they would lose badly and strength of schedule takes those schools out. A 3 loss bama should always get in over a lesser conference with no loses. Get over it it'll be like that with any major brand. oh and we're gonna win it all ROLLTIDE🐘💯
First, all the babies cried for expansion. They got it. Now, the babies are crying about the very system they begged for. SOS matters, and that's fact. I'm sure you guys will squeeze the competitiveness out of CFB to the point that every team will win a lesser form of the national championship trophy at some point. Until then, Bama deserves to be in based on SOS.
So the schedule you play is not to be considered? Then why would anyone choose to play tough teams? We can just choose cupcake teams to guarantee wins.

This coach is having a hard time justifying why his sorry team should be in. I hope Clemson beat SMU and kicks them out. They dont deserve to be in over other teams.
I think it will take Boise state losing as well.
UNLV plus Clemson’s auto bids will definitely bump Bama out.
I’m a Clemson fan. In all honesty I’m fine not being in. But I can’t stand Bama being in, not even because of the name, but because I don’t see how you go down a logical path that Bama beats out Ole Miss, Miami, and SC when comparing each. Record, 10-2 v 9-3; common opponents Ole Miss is drastically better against GA, SC, and OU; Eye Test its SC. No way to land at Bama
I’m a Miami fan.. I was hoping for Clemson to beat SC so there could be an opportunity for 3 ACC teams in the playoff with all the disrespect it gets.. Love the year SMU is having and they deserve the success.. with that being said, I’m hoping for a Clemson win to help out the ACC and knock Bama right back out where they belong
@ I think for Bama to be out, Clemson Auto bid is the only chance a team above Bama loses but stays ahead of them for at large.
For the 4 seed, UNLV win gives all the power 4 the top 4.
@patrick1714 I think SMU is in regardless. If they lose Bama is out and Clemsin and SMU are in.
You go and lose to Vanderbilt and then almost lose to South Carolina at home. You lose to Tennessee and then go get BLOWED OUT by one of the worst teams in the country in Oklahoma. You would have gotten shut out if Oklahoma hadn't fumbled the ball in their own territory, so no ALABAMA, you don't belong in the playoffs. The playoff committee is holding your hand right now. If it were me, you would be sitting at #19
Deboer is just not very articulate, I’m sure he’s a great coach but hearing him ramble on just makes no sense
What about Big 10 bias, u prop up Penn state resume Ohio state mucks it up against 6and5 Michigan at home and Indiana plays absolutely nobody 😂😂😂, I luv it
Bama 3 losses 2 against unranked teams and got smoked by okla 2 weeks ago ,,, such bias such bs
Oklahoma had 2 weeks to prepare for Bama game. In Portal parity that's a huge advantage. Ole Miss blew out Georgia because they had 2 weeks to prepare and rest. Vanderbilt also had bye week before Bama
Alabama in over ol miss is wild to me
Top 25 matchup record, Alabama: 3-1
Ole Miss: 1-1
They should do a playoff play in tournament
If every team needs a week to rest, because football is not basketball, then how do you do that. You’re just advocating for another round
True. I didn’t think about it like that but I guess what I’m thinking is the 11-14 teams could possibly play for the last playoff spot ?
@@stunnatino4406 I do think you are onto something because they will expand. Just a matter of how. Klatt??? I think but maybe I’m confusing with another pod suggested conference play in tournaments for seeding. But you are right imo, it will expand one way or the other
Geaux Vols no way Indiana and Alabama should be in the mix.
Sounds good lmaoo 😂😂 nice try buddy
Nobody should have to play a PUSHOVER TYPE cupcake team in the playoffs if they were undefeated, safe to say they would lose badly and strength of schedule takes those schools out. A 3 loss bama should always get in over a lesser conference with no loses. Get over it it'll be like that with any major brand. oh and we're gonna win it all ROLLTIDE🐘💯
It's common sense, no 3 loss team should be in playoffs peroid
Why? It definetly depends on who you play. By your logic, Indiana should not be in either
So everyone should schedule cupcakes then. Got it 😂
A 3 loss team has finished inside the top 12 in 9 of the last 10 seasons
Bama could lose 5 games to the North Dakota School of the Blind and they would get in.
No you’re just not the brightest
No, that would be Notre Dame.
😂😂😂 You are so funny!
RTR!!!
Bama lost to 2 unranked teams 😂. Strength of schedule only applies when you lose to good teams.
Facts.
Ask him about Oklahoma lose only scored 3 points 🤔🤔🤔
That's right no 3 lose team should be in no matter who it is not over any two lose teams 🤔🤔🤔
Who you play matters. If it doesn't Bama should join the ACC... C'mon...
Bama wouldn't win the ACC 😂. They losing to Miami Syracuse Clemson and GT
@@jimjason5146cmon man clearly the acc is the worst of the 4 conferences
So the schedule you play is not to be considered? Then why would anyone choose to play tough teams? We can just choose cupcake teams to guarantee wins.
A 3 loss team has finished inside the top 12 in 9 of the last 10 seasons
He knows that his team shouldn't be there, money talks 🤔🤔🤔
