Do you not understand how the domestic energy policies of the world's largest economy have an effect on the international market? America is the source of the worldwide problem. We started it. Remember that old saw "what's good for the goose is good for the gander" and that if the gander doesn't want people protesting outside its nest, it shouldn't have okayed people protesting outside the nest of the goose.

@@whatsursource my experience was in NYC in a culture of everyone, with lots of hope and opportunity for anyone. Many people including myself came from difficult backgrounds and no one yet everyone was privileged.
Maybe if the US gets their act together enough to pass sensible (or any...) gun laws, and get affordable access to mental healthcare (along with healthcare in general), and the like they can watch action movies without killing each other like the rest of the developed world...?

This gives me an idea for political interview programs - Once a question is asked, the text of the question is shown on a screen behind the politician, etc. As they answer, a live transcribed version of what they say is also shown. Theoretically, it would allow the viewer to in real time understand how answers are so rarely correlated to the actual question asked
Kellyanne seems to have lost some of her "trumpyness" - changing from nasty aggressiveness to a more normal and pleasant mien. Give her a few more months & she might become a "nice" person!
Canadians watch the same movies play the same video games have guns and by far prison time. The well doing of the people is based on how the goverment treats its people. Mentaly , phisicaly and education.
Take a walk around the streets of Vancouver. It will cure your illusions of Canadian exceptionalism. We have fewer violent crimes than in the states, but the city is like an open psych-ward, especially on the East side. We have many of the same social problems as the states, just fewer spree killers. Besides LA and San Francisco, Vancouver has probably the worst social problems in North America. Culturally, we are more the same than different.

If you get a Vancouver AirBnB, they are mostly fancy homes, owned by people in Hong Kong, purchased on speculation. "The average monthly cost for a 2 bedroom apartment rental in Vancouver, BC is $3300." Who can afford that?

But excess immigration has contributed to an inflated housing market and, in many industries, a lowering of wages. The job market is so competitive now. Even entry-level work is difficult to find unless you have a university degree or are studying for one, which is why international students get the bulk of these jobs.
Meanwhile, an ever-growing underclass has been permanently displaced from work (not that these people are hapless victims). Many, at least throughout their lives, have had ample opportunity. Many are drug users that have lost the motivation to work. How much money do we already spend trying to "rehabilitate" them? Is it even possible? It's no wonder many employers prefer new immigrant employees for unskilled jobs. I certainly do not blame immigrants for the situation. On the contrary, they have been successful because they are honest and hard-working. You can't blame them for that! Still, it's working-class and lower-middle-class Canadians that are feeling the squeeze. And with inflation, I sure am.

Yup, studies have clearly shown that games don’t contribute to violence (“fun” fact: the initial study people used to claim that video games caused violence simply showed that people playing Doom had a higher heart rate than people playing Myst. That is how dumb and/or dishonest the anti-video game movement was that they took that evidence and tried to claim that videogames caused real violence).
I read a survey in Europe and UK where all the respondents said if AK's were legal in their country w/o a license to anyone they still wouldn't have mass killings because their people are simply more civil than they are in the US.

That's just your choice, doesn't mean the opposite is wrong or "crazy". Nothing wrong with driving a car or shooting a gun, they're both great (imo) and have their time and place. One thing I'm sure we can instantly all agree on is you don't drive a truck into a protesting crowd & you don't open fire on other people, that's for sure. We don't need to forbid every item that's ever been used in a murder, just regulate it accordingly with common sense. No need to reinvent hot water & start from scratch either. If US just talks to Switzerland politicians and copy-pastes a lot of their laws and tweaks them to their needs for example things can be improved pretty fast.
@@em0_tion Canada is a better model than Switzerland, as it allows for hunting. Look at their PAL and RPAL licenses, and red flag laws. We could have sensible gun restrictions, and still stay within the constraints of the 2nd amendment, by following exactly what Canada has.

Even I can say "something" positive about Trump and be critical of Biden on "some things". Kellyanne's brand of politics continues to be 🤮... I'm sorry, but given ALL the encumbrances he's had to deal with - Biden is not a "terrible President" by any stretch (and progressives should take note from Kellyanne on what he has to deal with). Every country is experiencing inflation right now - with the exception of China (who have a government that can impose price controls they will have to pay for later). In a different era, Biden may have been a better Republican - but today, being a centrist is the same as saying you're a communist to anyone who listens to Right Wing talk radio for more than 5 minutes - which is exactly the crowd Kellyanne panders to.
