Wonderful explanation, wonderful playing, wonderful shoes. You can tell a ton of work and planning went on making this as clear and concise as possible! This is how every RUclips video should be.
This is an excellent resource for composers! I disagree with one comment - and that is the directive that composers should NOT mark in the pedal changes. I think it is important for composers TO INCLUDE pedal markings BUT WITH THE HELP OF A HARPIST. By doing so, composers can become more aware of the issues and therefore create more viable scores.
Thank you so much for this video! It is very valuable to hear and see what are the basic ways a harp functions for people who do not have easy access to one.
Thanks for this video. It gives me a good idea as to how quickly the pedals can be changed - although I suspect that going from a flat to a sharp and vice versa might take a little longer! Trying to revise a piece which is stubbornly twelve-tone serial, and wondering whether to put in a rhythmically-notated pedal part.

how do I find out if the part that I have written for harp is playable? easy or difficult....
I had a quick look and could not find it, my online session is about to time out....
application pending, I also have timpani parts were I am not sure, they look like easy double bass parts....
