Nope... Koba hated humans and with a great passion and showed absolutely no mercy to humans. Proximus is a humanitarian and enjoys the company just for self knowledge but doesn't have hateful desires for humans he just knows they cannot be trusted so he uses them as slaves.

There no such thing as a soul. Proximus caesar has his own power interests, his own agendas to further his ape kingdom into prominence. Koba has similar hatred for humans as proximus and both know the consequences of defeat from his enemies should he fail. But koba is his own character, just as proximus is his own character. Proximus even admires caesar but didn't either, understood, agreed or despised his love for humans. He admired the power of caesar that he wielded. But saw sentiment for humans as a sickness. But still admired caesar nonetheless. Koba hated Caesar to the core. And wanted power for himself and exploit others for his gain because of the suffering he endured by the humans, justifying his hate for caesar.
They are very different characters. About the only thing they have in common is the desire to destroy humans for the protection of apes, but mostly it being for themselves
Fr I like Proximus way more than Noa. I hope he gets to be the main character in the new movie. I mean he was already but as in him being the hero not the villain. Or a mix between both again would be fire
I feel like he was not meant to be the main villain of this franchise rise didint have any villains it was more to set up the story the ideology and ideas of proximus and compassion and mercy from raka noa has seen both sides now
