I strangely never had problems with age restrictions at the punk clubs in my town. All the shows were always all ages. I went to Minneapolis once to see family and they wouldn’t let me in to one of the shows because I was 17. It baffled me because at home this was unheard of. I’m sorry that people in your area have decided that music isn’t allowed for minors. It’s absurd. But also, I’m so glad to hear an original from you guys! Great job friends!

I absolutely LOVE this! But, you probably knew that was coming from me. I'm SO proud of you all. You have crafted a bouncy, fun, singalong punk pop song. But, the frustration in the lyrics is real! We have all been there at one time or another, so very relatable. From about 15 on, I read the Weekend section of the paper on Fridays to read movie reviews, and pouring through the concert listings to see if anyone interesting was coming to Chicago. I remember the elation I felt when I read those three little words every teen wants to hear..."All Ages Show". And I remember the feeling of crushing defeat seeing "18 and over" or the dreaded "21 and over". This is going to come TOTALLY out of left field, but the song that this reminds me of the most, is "She's Leaving Home" by The Beatles. Which, is probably my very favorite Beatles song, so, take that however you will. Lyrically, totally, the frustration of the main character is similar. The harmonies and vocals in the "Let me in (you're not allowed)" absolutely reminds me of it. Even some of the instrumentation, though, that could be my imagination. I'll have to listen to it at least another 30 or 40 times (I've passed 10 or 12 already) to make up my mind on the instrumentation. Seriously friends, I couldn't think of a BETTER way to start my weekend, than a new Hawkbirds video. So much love and pride radiating from Chicago your way!!

This is an incredibly well written song, it’s like Ramones did a cover of a hidden girl group gem from the 60s. Incredibly harmonically rich and catchy as hell! You sure now your stuff, Hawkbirds. P.S. I grew up listening to Ramones and in 2010s started one of the first Ramones-core bands in Ukraine, The Partyvans, and my late dad is John from The Биты, the best Ukrainian punk band. I strangely never had problems with age restrictions at the punk clubs in my town. All the shows were always all ages. I went to Minneapolis once to see family and they wouldn’t let me in to one of the shows because I was 17. It baffled me because at home this was unheard of.
I’m sorry that people in your area have decided that music isn’t allowed for minors. It’s absurd.

OMG! That Was AWESOME!! The rhythm is so catchy, it's totally your style guys!! I absolutely LOVE this! But, you probably knew that was coming from me. I'm SO proud of you all. You have crafted a bouncy, fun, singalong punk pop song. But, the frustration in the lyrics is real! We have all been there at one time or another, so very relatable. From about 15 on, I read the Weekend section of the paper on Fridays to read movie reviews, and pouring through the concert listings to see if anyone interesting was coming to Chicago. I remember the elation I felt when I read those three little words every teen wants to hear..."All Ages Show". And I remember the feeling of crushing defeat seeing "18 and over" or the dreaded "21 and over".
This is going to come TOTALLY out of left field, but the song that this reminds me of the most, is "She's Leaving Home" by The Beatles. Which, is probably my very favorite Beatles song, so, take that however you will. Lyrically, totally, the frustration of the main character is similar. The harmonies and vocals in the "Let me in (you're not allowed)" absolutely reminds me of it. Even some of the instrumentation, though, that could be my imagination. I'll have to listen to it at least another 30 or 40 times (I've passed 10 or 12 already) to make up my mind on the instrumentation. Seriously friends, I couldn't think of a BETTER way to start my weekend, than a new Hawkbirds video. So much love and pride radiating from Chicago your way!!

This is an incredibly well written song, it’s like Ramones did a cover of a hidden girl group gem from the 60s. Incredibly harmonically rich and catchy as hell! You sure now your stuff, Hawkbirds. P.S. I grew up listening to Ramones and in 2010s started one of the first Ramones-core bands in Ukraine, The Partyvans, and my late dad is John from The Биты, the best Ukrainian punk band.
