I have 4 crowns done 22 years ago on my front teeth. It has sliver inside and porcelain out. They are still good to go without anything. One had chipped alittle now. So, old is gold. 22 years!

If you must floss around the crown, my dentist said to pull the floss thru instead of pulling it up. Insert the floss like always in a downward movement, then let go of one end and pull it thru.

I had two dental implants #’s 29 & 30 and I’d like to have high noble metal yellow gold crowns for my posterior molars. My upper opposing molar to # 30 has amalgam filling my concern is oral galvanism. Do you think I can prevent galvanism if # 30 is porcelain fused to gold
Had one put in today, the only pain was the injection to numb the tooth, and that was ok other than that all was great!!!

A veneer only covers the front and bottom of the tooth. Its more for cosmetic purposes.
i had metal crowning without anesthesia and on that the dentist didn't even put the Temporary crown after drilling and man that hurt like hell
bad experiance, had a root cananl done on Jan 21, pain didn't go away, according to my dentist is the tooth next to the one they treated, we go for a crown, BUT pain got worse, I'm frustrated, going for another appoinment will see what do they come out with, after this got to change dentist

Dentists visits aren't that bad. Once they numb you, which is only a few little tiny pinches, no pain after that. Great

I got a few [5] when I was 9 years old. It didn't really hurt I was awake the whole thing so. They start to numb your teeth. Then after they numbed your gums and that they are gonna fill ur teeth with filling they filled mine by taking a shot in my teeth. I guess that was KINDA painful xD but yeah if ur getting it U will be perfectly fine :)

it didnt hurt too bad, they really numbed me up, the part where they took molds of my tooth was the worst though, it tastes bad and you have to sit there awhile not moving your mouth till it dries, I had to redo it 2 times. I have to go back this month to get the permanent one put in they give u a temporary one at first, which is a little odd feeling but Im getting use to it now lol

The worst part about this process is when they snap your old tooth in half with a wrench! The process takes a while but don't let that discourage you from going through with it. You'll only have to spend a few weeks in the hospital and if you recover you'll have a great smile! Just make sure you have life insurance though. 👍😃
A crown will only last 5 to 8 years. Mine fell off with the post attached after 8 years!
After hearing it would cost 1500 to 2000 dollars to repair I contemplated using super glue! Dont!!!! Sure its expensive to fix and the medical / dental profession have us 40 hour blue collar Americans by the balls, but its better to fix it right.
No such thing as permanent anything in medical or dental!!! If it was then they would be out of business!!!
This is why I am wondering if I should do it. Both top and bottom left molars are recommended by my dentist because they have large fillings. Thing is, they need to grind away more of the tooth's structure to fit the crown over top. So once its done, I will be stuck with a crown for life. And if it falls off, I either pay up to repair or pull the tooth any ways. Im thinking of just leaving it as is and being careful
